A gentleman from Nolt Electric showed up to fix the front porch lights yesterday afternoon. I also had him fix one of the light fixtures in the in the meeting room that needed a new ballast and change a couple of lights that were out in the reading room. He was putting away the "good" light tubes and overheard two staff members talking about a leak in the mechanical room. The plumber had recently left for the day unable to complete the job since it required a special part. The bucket we were using to capture the drips was filling super-fast at that point. So, we were discussing the logistics of keeping it manageable while the Library was open and turning off the water when we closed. So about an hour later, around 6:30, the super electrician shows back up with a bucket/hose combo to move the water from the leak to the floor drain. The bucket was too tall....so he took it back to cut it down to size. Super Electrician to the rescue!! What a GUY!! I was so very impressed. It speaks volumes for the man and the company he works for - They exemplify "service above self"!

Several other electrical companies charged over $100 just to come out and do an estimate before even doing any work - I found this to be ridiculous and decided to go with "James Morrow Electrician and Handyman." I can tell you right away that I made a solid decision as that Jim did a great job from the gecko! He was very responsive, professional and explained everything he is going to do over the phone so that I felt comfortable with choosing him as a professional. When he arrived, he was very respectful to the property. He did not mind me watching him install the electrical outlets in my home and explain how the whole system works. Jim did a fantastic job of eliminating one of my existing electrical outlets and moving it up. He also installed a new GFI outlet in my bathroom so that I can hook up my beloved Japan-style bidet toilet. Overall Jim is very knowledgeable and experienced in his electrical work, as well as very meticulous in little details. He takes pride in his job from start to finish to ensure the job is done right the first time. I felt very comfortable with Jim and "James Morrow Electrician and Handyman." Thank you Jim and I will definitely be using this business for any and all the future electrical work around the house. She had a handyman install a water heater that subsequently caught fire. The handyman came back out and replaced it, but I had serious concerns about the quality of his work and my mom's safety. I called out the local Mr Sparky office who sent a technician that was rude, pushy and disinterested in looking at the water heater. He insisted that her fuse box was well passed its lifespan and told me the wires inside were all melted and that it needed to be replaced immediately at a cost of $8089.00. I told him I would need a second opinion which agitated him. I called Mid Penn and Brian came out the next morning. He was courteous and thorough in his investigation beginning with the water heater. He didn't see any obvious problems, but tightened up the wiring done by the handyman. He looked at the panel box, meter and so forth and determined that everything was still within its expected work life and functioning correctly. It was a completely different experience and saved us from being robbed by the other electrician. I can't thank Brian enough for putting all of our minds at ease with his respectful business demeanor, thorough review and clarity on so many seemingly frightening bits of misinformation. We decided to enroll in there program to come out regularly and check in the electrical systems in my mom's house. You can't buy that kind of assurance to concerns for a loved one. It's earned. Fast forward about a week later, it's almost 100 degrees, we have a newborn in the house, and the AC has stopped working and there's a huge puddle in the basement under the unit. Obviously we don't want the same guys. I found Terry Gingrich online and called. Brian came the very same day and fixed the problem for us. Since then he has replaced our unit, our hot water heater, and done some additional maintenance. They have always gotten back to us when they say.
