The downstairs portion is is where the pharmacy and medication is located. The upstairs portion is everything else that a CVS has to offer. Both sections have the ability to offer checkout...when that section is open. I came here on my first day to get drinks and snacks for my room. I entered through the Hub and made my way up the rickety steps. The steps that were open sometimes. See, I came back a few more time sand the steps had rope across and were barricaded. Making you have to take the slow elevator with other people since there was no other way to get up or down the stairs. My first visit here I had made my selections and headed towards the self checkouts. I kid you not, when I got to them, they actively started to shut them down. Forcing everyone to use the traditional registers. I wish the customer service here would have been better as well. They didn't have what we were looking for, but we had forgotten to bring some waters (for a concert we were going to), so took the opportunity to grab those while we were here. You would think a pharmacy, that sells tons of different humidifiers, would have distilled water. That's what you're supposed to use the machines so it doesn't grow bacteria. Nope, couldn't even find a space on the shelf for it to be sold. During the pandemic I had gone to three or four different pharmacies because I couldn't get any distilled water. For various shipping, people out, not being able to restock, etc. reasons. It is a disgrace that pharmacies which sell products that require distilled water could not supply people with CPAP, and other required medical equipment, with distilled water. So, I decided to write a little quick disappointment review of the store in general. When I went in, there was only one person at the front, two people at the pharmacy, and I didn't see anybody in the store. The store was trashed, it looks like there was a Super Bowlparty held in there. Ive never seen it this bad before, literal trash on the floor as well as product on the floor and half empty bins that were left out from restocking that had to be navigated around. I'm not saying it was dirty though, it seemed reasonably clean for a public store. They also no longer have push carts, instead they have little cheap plastic baskets. You have to pull along behind you like a kids toy. For someone with arthritis who has a hard time carrying things in their hand, so has to have some sort of basket it's very awkward. Not only do you have to bend over to put things into the basket, but you can only carry a couple of things at a time. So if I'd have picked up 2 gallons of water, I would not have been able to get anything else, much less picking up the water from the basket and scanning it, and either carrying it in my arthritic hands out of the store or bending over and putting it back in the basket to carry it out of the store and picking it up again to put it into the car. My insurance wants me to use CVS, I'm assuming for bulkpricing reasons, but from now on I'll only be picking up prescriptions at the drive-through. Any other purchases I'll have to make at Walgreens or the grocery store. The store employees, and pharmacists, have always been polite. Not sure what's going on, maybe there were people out sick today with bird flu or something so if you were half people have to do more jobs. But since it's a self check out and somebody has to watch the front that one employee I saw in the store couldn't possibly have gone around and clean things up or put things on the shelves. I hope they get this resolved because this is a convenient store to my job and I would like to be able to visit it again.
