About a 1-1.5: Considering this was in the DT area, this CVS was super outdated and was just not clean nor organized. Note that you can only access the place by entering through their main entrance off of Peachtree; otherwise, if you're trying to enter while you're downstairs in The Hub area, the doors are locked. I had to pick up some bottled water, and the selection was pretty limited. If there is a lot for this CVS, then I don't know where it is. There is street parking. There were less homeless people harassing you both near the entrance and in the area on this visit compared to a visit about 2 years ago. However, the day before there were still a lot of homeless in the general area and also rough looking characters. No scary or weird people in the store this time other than me --weird not scary! The store itself was stocked and clean. A desk on pop, which is what I was looking for. Couldn't find another item and the lady who helped was very nice this time. While visiting from California, my boyfriend attempted to purchase syringes for his testosterone at this CVS, a purchase fully legal under Georgia law without a prescription (and yes, he also showed her his prescription). This blatant abuse of power didn't stop there--it became clear this decision was rooted in homophobia. The customer service at the location is horrible. The CVS app tells you to call the pharmacy and you call and your put immediately on hold and the. They never come back. The system times out and hangs up. You go to the pharmacy in person and they give inaccurate information. The pharmacist does not address the customer service issues and acts like it new Information when I have spoken to him about the issues 2 weeks in a row. This is a service that impacts folks health and it's disgusting that you consistently get the run around. They should be ashamed of themselves that someone is going round and round about their medication and have no idea when they're going to get it. They are rude on the phone and very short. I moved into this neighborhood 28 years ago. I do most of my rx buys here. However I have moved all my prescriptions elsewhere and I am DONE with this store. The pharmacy is very busy. Full of GA tech folks and students I guess. Service in the past has been mixed. However I started to recently shop around all prescriptions with insurance and goodrx and singlecare. Their prices are seldon eve the lowest and shelf prices are extreme high. I noticed a common brand name product at $9.37 I believe which is $3.99 at target. Evidently no such thing exists at this location. Its scary. I know! Nobody should expect the quality of help in todays world that we used to consider normal. A simple thing turned into a big failure for me and then I had to go back yet again! I also went there for parking, which is covered which is good when it rains. But last time there I saw a homeless man go to every single car and look in the windows. Several cars he would pull the handle to see if it opens. I transferred my scripts to this location from another CVS. The transition was seamless since all locations are connected by computer. The toughest part was trying to talk to my previous CVS. They've become so busy that their customer service left orbit on an Elon Musk rocket, it's now at maximum dynamic pressure! The CVS at 842 Peachtree Street was fabulous! My script was ready 2 hours prior to the promised time!! The pharmacy Tech was very friendly and professional. I used my CVS app to prepay so all she needed to do was scan my barcode. I had a 40% off coupon so I decided to use it on this visit. The associate working the checkout was so very helpful and knowledgeable about the CVS app and how things work. Tamika solved a problem I'd been experiencing with the app for the past year and it took only about one minute! My old location would simply become a bit agitated but never figured out what the problem was. Tamika figured it out in no time and was friendly while doing a professional job! I moved my prescriptions from this pharmacy because they're inept: I don't have confidence in their safety. There is constant staff turnover at every level. They seem badly understaffed, so that there is usually a line to pick up prescriptions, and sometimes the wait is more than 20 minutes. Phones aren't answered for more than 30 minutes, and there was a time a few months ago when they simply stopped answering the phone for customer calls. Even physician calls are not answered: they usually go to voicemail and are told to leave the prescription information, which often aren't filled until the following day. Other CVS locations are better managed, but this one has been in pretty bad shape at least for the past year or two. When I started inquiring about moving, I discovered that the nearby Publix pharmacy never has a long wait, always answers the phone promptly, and they almost always have better prices via GoodRx than CVS. The staff is just nicer as well. read more

Why has CVS not addressed my concerns regarding the events of 7/2/21 in their 842 Peachtree location in Atlanta? Why not? Because the layout of that store (no accessible seating by the RX drop off windows, or a cardboard end-cap blocking the inside of the front of the aisle), wa not ADA compliant? Maybe they have not addressed my concerns because corporate CVS has a systemic lack of decency that trickles down to their retail stores? I experienced through that store's abuse, not to mention the neglect, through a refusal by any pharmacy or retail store employee to assist a disabled person who fell on the floor in sight of the pharmacists, even though I consistently yelled out for help for over a period of 30 minutes? Did the CVS crew find it amusing to watch a person with disabilities be humiliated and ignored? Humiliated? Yes. Ignored? Yes. But empowered to spread the word that persons with disabilities demand CVS to respect us and treat us like human beings. CVS marginalizes persons with challenges? I sure hope social justice warriors remember "disability" is STILL the silent "d" in "diversity." This is a very conveniently located branch. I'm glad it's here. There's also free parking in the garage under the store. I removed stars because people use the CVS parking garage as a free-for-all toilet and it reeks of strong urine every time I go. It's to the point that there are often urine puddles in the parking spaces where we open our car doors. I don't know who owns this garage, but it needs to be pressure-washed with some type of bleach. read more

Terrible CVS. I just moved back home after college. They won't transfer my prescriptions. I've sent multiple requests. Calling doesn't help. The app doesn't help either. I'm not able to go in person. They are also scummy. They snatched my prescription that wasn't sent to them and sent to a Publix. Now insurance is making me pay out of pocket at the location I actually want it from because I can't get it shelved. My fiance lives pretty close to here so you can often find us stopping by for some quick snacks, drinks, filling our prescriptions, etc. The store is pretty much like any other CVS and you'll almost always find the same products here. The store is pretty clean whenever we stop in. Never used their bathrooms to know their condition but I'm sure they're like any other given the condition of their store. The employees are friendly and they know what they're doing. Overall, it's not a bad place to stop in for some quick errands. Something to note: You're in the city AND at a CVS store so expect to pay more than what you would normally pay at Kroger's, Target, Walmart, etc. CVS is meant to be there for convenience, not for affordable shopping. read more

When you live in a city, you need the basics within walking distance. The CVS at the corner of Peachtree and 6th does a very good job of filling my drugstore needs, and they've got a great full-service pharmacy in the back. My favorite pharmacy employee is Vada. She's helpful and friendly, remembers repeat customers, and manages to stay calm even when the lines grow long and patience is short. If you're driving, CVS has ample covered parking in a lot under the store. (The entrance is on 6th Street.) They often have in-store specials, and they're open until midnight seven days a week. read more

This CVS is near two midtown hotels we've stayed at while in Atlanta, and we've popped in on occasion to grab a few things. Parking was a little on -- we parked down the street once and in the parking lot next door (normally reserved for the restaurant next door but nobody was eating there during the pandemic). On our last visit we grabbed some items and paid at self-serve kiosks; I've never seen that before at CVS. The only downside was that I had a preloaded coupon on my CVS card and the kiosk did not seem to acknowledge it. Merchandise is typical for a CVS and it's worth it to pick up a flyer to see what's on sale that week. read more

It was 6:57 and she said " we are closed" she was not the kind of person you put out there to deal with the public. She yelled at me " what part of we are closed you don't understand?" I don't write many reviews but have had such wonderful experiences at this pharmacy on multiple occasions, I felt compelled to. The pharmacists here are always kind and willing to go the extra mile, either for the flu shot or covid vaccine. Despite being busy, they always take the time to explain things well and with warmth and kindness. They are healthcare professionals who are always on the side of the patient. Two in particular have been wonderful--one named Jim, the other was East Asian (I wish I had gotten his name). One particular incident still brings tears to my eyes. A couple of years ago I had a terminally ill pet and needed to fill her hospice medications and pay out of pocket. I could not afford one of them, but somehow the pharmacist was able to find a coupon to help me purchase a handful to keep her comfortable. Will never forget that. I do wish the in-store policy of mask wearing was better enforced, especially with Omicron, but they can't do everything. I imagine their job is not unlike being a stewardess on a plane full of misbehaving people. This location is the best. read more

All I was trying to do was get a prescription refilled 1 day before as I was traveling for a week. This is an unlikely rave review. Who the hell gets excited about drug stores THESE days? I mean, let's keep it real: they're mostly wretched chain stores with no personality and zero connection to the local community. Except *this CVS was a trailblazer in Midtown. They were here WAY before the 'hood got hot, when it was still way sketchy. The retailer was smart to open right in-town. It's hugely convenient for us city-dwelling foot-users who'd rather walk places. (I often take the dog with me.) Today was an especially good day. I went in and got greeted at the door. I also got my regular great service at the Pharmacy, and then -- when I went to ask if they had any more of my fave cereal in back (which was on sale) -- he apologized for not having more and gave me what's called a "rain check." in other words, I can go back and get my gosh darn cereal at the sale price (half what it usually costs) when they get stock back in. Service is so under-valued in this corporate-driven world we live in. Today was an exception. read more

Yeah, this is Midtown, so we expect crazy. But the team running this place handles it with ease and grace. They're ALWAYS friendly to a fault, and recognize me when I come in and greet me warmly. The pharmacy is great--well organized, good advice. And it needs to be said: this is one of the CLEANEST CVS in the metro area, despite the bums and crackheads outside (and sometimes in)! They do a great job of helping you save, by swiping a loyalty card or showing you when you've earned a coupon, too! read more

Rough experience caused by bad employees. My doctor sent over my medication 2 days ago but when I called they did not have anything under my name. Apparently after calling them she realized that they had multiple files under my name. My doctor sent over my medication AGAIN at around 5, and stayed on the phone with them to make sure they had it in their records. I called them at 5:50 yesterday they said they were really behind but that I could go and see if I could get it expressed. I went to the pharmacy that day. There was a really sweet blond girl at the front. She asked me for my information and said she would expedite my medication. Instantly a really angry lady in the back said "NO! We are not expediting anything". I expressed to her if there was anyway I could get it, because it was urgent that I take the medication. She handed me an address and said "go to a pharmacy that is open until 9." She doesn't even know if my doctor is open at this time. I understand the feeling of being near the end of the shift, but we were pleading for any sort of help from them and were basically told "sorry not sorry". People don't want to go and pick up medication for the fun of it. It's a need. To add insult to injury, when my boyfriend went to pick up my medication the manager told him "he is not sure why, but the medication was put on hold". This medication is really important. Already I had a horrendous night after being without my medication for 5 days.Honestly someone needs to get a hold of this pharmacy (specifically the lady working in the back on May 23 between 5-7). Whether it was incompetence or something else, it only prolonged the time it took to get my medication. I would like to clarify the crew working today May 24, between 11-3 were absolutely wonderful. Very sweet and courteous, they were apologetic to my boyfriend about how long I have been without my medication. Even the manager was very kind. It's just sad that one bad employee can ruin the experience when the rest of the staff is doing their best. read more

I have been to this CVS several times and I've found that they are all about the same anywhere you go across the country. Today however, I am taking the time to warn anyone considering going to the drive thru at their CVS on 15/501 to think twice. Unfortunately there is an employee named KELLY who works the window who is not only condescending, but plain rude. After receiving a text that my prescription was ready, I simply went to pick it up. After waiting at the window for 10 mins with no cars ahead of me, I was told that my prescription was not there and she didn't know when it would be there because they were out of stock. When I questioned why I would receive a text saying to go pick it up, she raised her voice and told me that it was only an automated system and I could call another pharmacy if I wanted it. I was told that she thought I wanted to leave so she didn't see the point in taking the time to call. When I asked her if she could please make the call, to refill it at the closest location, she said yes and walked away without telling which location to go. I was so upset that I went inside to figure it out. The pharmacist was so kind. He spent 15 mins trying to figUte out which pharmacy had it and fhad it filled at the CVS closest to me. Honestly, that was such a waste of time for everyone involved. My policy is to treat everyone with kindness and these situations cease to exist. I don't see an entry for this CVS location's pharmacy, so I will place my opinions of it here. I have used this pharmacy for 3 years and am consistently impressed with the friendliness and competence of the pharmacy staff, especially Omar Dudar. Once, I left a piece of paper at the counter, and Omar took the time to call me and ask if it was all right for him to throw it away. Plus, I recently appreciated when the pharmacist who filled my order and rang me up expressed true sympathy for the copay price--what I assumed was the total without insurance. :/ What compelled me to write a review of this CVS/pharmacy, however, was a recent humiliating debacle involving two lackadaisical employees I had never seen before (causing my otherwise raving review to bump down a notch). I rushed from the parking garage up the elevator, bladder about to burst, scuttling toward the restroom in the back of the store. Much to my dismay, a punch-in code was required to enter. Because the pharmacy counter is located so near the locked restroom hallway, I leaned back and asked one of the males, "Could you please tell me the code for the restroom?" My urgency and pain were obvious... "In a second," he huffed. The other lad ignored my request. Since they were going to make me wait to relieve myself, I decided to hold it even longer and go ahead and get my prescription. As I made my way toward the counter, I felt my maxi pad start to work its way off my underwear. I pinched my legs together, hoping that it would hold on for its dear life. But no. As I was paying for my prescription, the sanitary napkin fell to the floor (I had on a skirt). I screamed an obscenity and shoved the pad into my purse, drawing the attention of a male shopper behind me. However, the cashier had no idea what was going on. THEN, when I asked him to unlock the restroom for me AGAIN, he still made me wait about 5 more minutes, mindlessly typing on his computer. I considered shoving the pad in his face, proving to him that when women say they need to use the restroom, they mean it. However--humiliated, I sprinted to the bathroom instead, shocked by this boy's lack of initiative and respect. read more

If you don't mind the random crackheads, bums, pimps and prostitutes who frequent here, I must admit that this is one of the better CVS locations on town. The staff is so cool and unphased by the crazy that walks into that store. I once saw a woman fall out in the aisle by the pharmacy, scream like she was going into labor, then it up and walked about 5 minutes later like nothing ever happened. The staff just brushed it off and said, "she does that once a week, it's aiight" They also have a fantastic clearance and sale aisle. I don't know why more cvs don't discount like this store does, but others need to take note. Please drop by either for a prescription, cold pop, or good people watching. Walking distance from home, text message alerts when your prescriptions are ready, and late night hours (including pharmacy operating hours till 10pm), what more could a girl need for her neighborhood drugstore?Sure, the parking deck and the stairs to the store are a little sketchy, but they have free parking and lots of it, and where else is that the norm in Midtown? I haven't found any killer markdowns on makeup like some CVS stores have, but it's still worth signing up for the extra care card and their beauty club, as they'll email you all sorts of special offers, including the occasional 20% off your whole purchase coupon. While I'm not going to be on Extreme Couponers anytime soon, it's still nice to save a couple bucks now and then, particularly when the whole thing can be handled digitally/electronically. One thing to note is that all their debit card readers have signs that say "no cash back," so don't come here planning to get some cash for another purchase. read more

This is one of the least icky CVS stores in Atlanta. My only complaint is the parking deck and the stairwell going to and from it. It's bright enough to feel safe, but it needs to be repainted. It's kind of dingy. I'm usually on foot for most of my visits (as I'm sure is the case with most of their customers). They're open until Midnight, so it's convenient without being the source of unnecessary traffic to the neighborhood. Even though I'm more of a Hallmark fan, their selection of cards from American Greetings is larger than most. Oh, it's always quick to check out. I think this CVS needs some Yelp love. This store is in a great walkable neighborhood, but it also has free parking! The parking deck is accessed via 6th street. Yes, the stairs/elevator from the parking dark seem really, really sketchy. But it's just one floor up. The store itself is slightly smaller than suburban locations (as you would expect), but they have a good selection anyways. Their Pharmacy is great. I feel like I'm at this CVS all the time in that it's very near my house. We visit for the pharmacy and little things we've run out of and don't want to go to the grocery store for. The store is always clean and the staff is very courteous. I think the prices are good and the "cvs card" coupons we earn are even better. Summary: It's not really a comprehensive drugstore but rather a glorified liquor store. And there's nothing wrong with that but I just wish it were more truthful in its advertising. While I appreciate CVS' commitment to midtown Atlanta, as a local resident I find myself continually frustrated by the perpetually empty inventory of non-alcoholic products and the bored employees who just don't care about my repeated requests to stock their shelves. Great location! I've been here about 23433984 times to get passport photos done... (applying for a program to go abroad sure takes a lot of pictures!). Photo service is always quick, and they crop and print out your picture immediately after taking it. I found out today that I have a problem: I can't seem to be able to position my head straight, looking directly at the camera. But the person there was really nice about it, and at one point even grabbed my head to manually reposition it... well, the result was a passport photo that wasn't all THAT mug shot looking. Success! Also, check the CVS website for a $2 coupon off passport pictures. I also come here to fill my prescriptions. There is nothing special about the pharmacists, but I would advise to avoid coming here around 5 or 6pm... they are always packed with people, and it has taken me upwards of 45 minutes to get my prescription filled. read more

I ordered photos online for same day pickup and the sizes were all wrong. My large 8x10 prints were of the wrong pictures and my standard 5x7's had a 1-inch border all around. I had to individually cut each picture. The online photo service here is NOT worth $30. read more

This CVS is great. I am staying at the Loews are was unwilling to spend $6 for a bottle of water so I just walked straight on Peachtree and found this CVS. The place was nice and clean.
