I just want to give a shout out to B and her awesome team who literally came to my rescue today. I am always coming here for my family members meds, but today it was for me. I tested positive for Covid and my doctor called in my script that needed to be started right away. Without hesitation, team member B got my medicine ready by the time I drove to the store. The electronic signature app DOES NOT WORK properly even when you have signed it!!!!! Because the medication has to be kept refrigerated, I don't trust them keeping it at the correct temperature until it finally gets delivered..which in our case has taken 2 days and we still don't have it!!!! According to the app, RX Zippy picked up my husband's medication on Tuesday to deliver Wednesday morning and here it is Thursday, and we still don't have it and we can't track it. I've had to contact Anchor Pharmacy to track the medication. Hopefully they can find it !!! I hope Anchor will hire a more dependable delivery service!!!!

When I called Walgreens (sister pharmacy to Duane Reade which was my NYC pharmacy), they said it wouldn't be a problem at all to get my meds. I just had to go online and do an Rx transfer request. Lo and behold, after putting in this request online, my prescription was ready for pickup in 2 days. You really can't beat that. Especially during a pandemic when this was a daily medication that I needed to take.

The bag of medicine I was picking up was too big to fit through the service window. They refused to take it out of the paper bag and just hand me two smaller packages through the window. Told me I had to come inside and wait in line... again. After I already waited in line to get to the window. I'm sure there's some asinine bureaucratic rule about un-stapling a package of medicine, but at some point common sense has to prevail. And even if there is a rule, maybe just avoid shoving so much stuff into a single bag that it won't fit through the service window? I'm pretty sure the people working in there are highly educated and able to figure out this puzzle. So, I'm giving the crew a big fat D- in customer service and puzzle solving.

(There was no other customers in the pharmacy.) It is now 9:30 and I am still waiting. Pharmacist called me at 9:31. She was pleasant, seemed skilled. The problem is customer service. Also don't bother prepaying to (Express Pay) that just confuses EVERY clerk I have even used and takes twice as long. I left Walgreens when they closed the sugarloaf store and then reluctantly went back for drive in convenience (over Kroger) but I will not be going back. Ever!!

Most Walmarts would give you a 50% off discount because number one it's cold and number two it was cooked several hours ago. I mentioned this to the cash register and she shrugged her shoulders and said well there's no discount there's no sticker on it. Instead of being helpful, she just shrugs her shoulders. I always felt like I had to dodge people left and right whenever I walked down any aisle. The stock here is not bad. They have everything from electronics to grocery to home goods. Some of the prices weren't clearly labeled though and even scanning the barcode on the app often didn't reveal anything. They have a self checkout that is pretty easy to use. They do not charge for the disposable plastic bags here.
