Intro *Full…read moreDisclosure* We only came to this place for hookah and drinks. After grabbing food and drinks nearby, a few friends and I were looking for a place to keep the party going. Enter #HouseOfHookah Ambiance/Vibe The vibe gives very much "club"/"lounge." If you're looking for a spot with a semi-after hours feel, that's dark with low cool/warm lights (blues, reds, etc.), and chill, you've found yourself in the right place. And, as the name suggests, there is hookah - no shortage of it. I don't, however, recall the cost or options, etc, but I think it was fairly extensive. The music was good, from what I recall. 4/5 Service Service was... fine. Nothing outstanding. Just ok. However, it was a hassle just getting in with the different unknown, unposted rules. Unfortunately, I don't recall the specifics, but I just remember it being more complicated/involved than it should be for this establishment. 3/5 Food We didn't order food, nor do I recall even seeing that there was food available, but according to their Google, there are at least light bites available. N/A Drinks This place does NOT sell nor serve alcohol. You, however, are allowed to bring your own liquor in, but there are some rule(s) surrounding it, soi suggest you swing by and get the full specifics before you show up with your liquor. This played into the issue with service. It felt like the rules were being divulged one at a time. Almost like "here is rule 1", then you do whatever it takes to comply, and then it's like, "Oh, but you can't do that because of rule 2, which is..." It just felt overly complicated and unnecessarily, so, again, for a spot that just serves hookah... N/A Final Verdict 3/5 would not recommend. NOT Lord Wellington Approved. I would only recommend going to this place if you fall into 1 of 2 categories: 1) you are either not a drinker or not drinking at the moment or, 2) you're a college student and shouldn't be drinking. While you can bring your own liquor, you had to buy cups, mixers, ice, etc. It's just a hassle if you're looking to wind down your night with a cocktail and a little hookah, having to go through extra steps (particularly at the time considering you would likely be coming after midnight). Not my cup of tea, so I'd personally never return unless things changed.

It was 10 of us…read more Before half of our group even sat down for a minute, an employee rushed over and said that for every two people, you must order a hookah, or pay $15 a person. We hadn't even had a chance to look at a menu. He was terribly rude. We all planned to order hookahs, but were not even given a chance too before they assumed we wouldn't. The attitude of the employee angered us and half of our group left. The rest of us ordered the required amount of hookahs. It gets worse. The last hookah we ordered never came out. We had to wait over 30 minutes for it because they forgot about it. We had to ask about it three times. So they rushed us and then forgot a hookah. We have been to HofH several times and never had an issue. We do not plan to return with this type of service allowed. The ladies restroom was clogged and was out of order the entire time we were there. Also, the music was going in and out the entire time as they are in need of a sound system. I hope they make some changes or they will continue to lose customers.

The burger was well seasoned and delicious. Once happy hour started we all started off with the lemon drops. I had the dragonfruit and blueberry flavor. The 6th man was really good as well. We also got the snapper bites which were delicious . The ceaser salad was fresh and crunchy ( I am a salad lover and it was top tier). My friend ordered the fried chicken sandwich. Angel can make a mean cocktail and has amazing customer service. I was bummed when they had to switch shifts at the bar because she took really good care of us. The new bartender was good but we were not a fan of her drinks. The lemon drops she made were not chilled and lacked flavor. The restaurant is decorated nicely and everyone has room to enjoy themselves.

The service was phenomenal. We were greeted quickly and our waitress was bomb. She provided great information and honest feedback about menu items, which led us to making the BEST choices for food and drinks. Everything was cooked to perfection and the drinks tasted just how I like them lol. If you haven't been, you should definitely pull up!

Came here for a friend's birthday, and honestly, the vibes were a bit of a rollercoaster…read more I'm convinced the bartender is actually an alchemist trying to turn gold into mediocrity. The drinks are priced like they're infused with unicorn tears, but they taste like disappointment. They lure you in with a $5 Happy Hour Margarita Tuesday, but save your fiver. It's basically a cup of sour mix that's had a brief, platonic conversation with a bottle of tequila. Hard pass. Just when I was ready to stage a walkout, the Rasta Pasta arrived. My goodness. It was so good I almost forgot I was paying rent level prices for my drink. It's the kind of meal that makes you want to write a thank you note to the chef's mother. The Oxtail and Shrimp Tacos also showed up to play. They were genuinely delicious and solid enough to keep me from crying about the bar tab. Come for the pasta, stay for the tacos, but maybe hydrate in the parking lot first.

The food was and drinks were excellent. The best part was that got to vote for my favorite drink, dessert and food. This event happens once per year. The tickets are sold online and they sell fast. It is well organized. They have plenty of policemen and staff guiding with parking and things. I have been attending this event for a few years now and I always have a good time. My favorite dessert was Keik. They had a combination of something I had not tasted before and I loved it. They also had a beautiful, pink station. The coffee rub burger was good. My second favorite was a birria taco. I forgot the name of the restaurant but it was the only one here with that taco. It was delicious.
