Ordered this Chinese-styled birthday cake over the phone on Wed for pick up on Saturday for a special birthday celebration for my dad. I described what we were seeking and she understood exactly what we wanted. It was ready and in a pretty sturdy box with birthday candles and a plastic cake knife. It had strawberries, grapes, canned peaches and kiwi. It was absolutely delicious and fed 14 adults for $52 and worth it. We would definitely order another from here as we saw so many other delicious cakes in the display when we went to pick up ours.

The shop has a…read moreclean, modern aesthetic with a wide variety of baked goods -- some prepackaged, some refrigerated, and others beautifully displayed in the case. The worker immediately came to service me and my interest in the display case items after checking out a prior patron. She shared the ingredients of the desserts I was interested to make sure I didn't have any allergies and the flavor profiles would interest me. Each items I selected was carefully boxed and packaged with care. I picked up the blueberry cake, chocolate cake, fruit tart, and vanilla bean bun. One thing I love about Asian pastries is that they're not overly sweet, and Anna's Bakery nails that balance. All the cakes were light and flavorful. One drawback I had was the moisture levels in the actual cake. The chocolate cakes were extra dry and overall all the flavors I selected were drier than what I'm accustomed to. The fruit tart had ripe but firm fruit, a fluffy cream base, and a cookie crust that was tasty without being too rich. The strawberries, dragonfruit, and grapes were all at peak ripeness. Best part? I didn't get the usual post‑dessert heaviness -- everything felt light and satisfying. I'll definitely be back to try the mousse selections and some of their savory bakes. The only reason it doesn't get a 5 star rating is because this particular location has fewer options than other locations I have visited.

Something about the cafe is just so safe/calming with a homey feeling, helping me stay focused. I do recommend bringing headphones though as the crowd varies from quiet readers/ studiers to loud people on the phone or on work meetings from their computer (which can be distracting) but it's a public space so to be expected. Just be prepared if you get distracted easy! :). FOOD: The blueberry muffin is delicious, having it warmed makes it even better- it's sweet but IMO not the type to make your teeth hurt sweet. The matcha lavender honey latte is delicious, it is very very sweet as the matcha and lavender flavor come pre sweetened. I've had the regular hot matcha latte and that is still very sweet but not as strong with the lavender sweetener as I ordered. Overall it's a 10/10 for me.

Once I bit into them I confirmed that what I thought was true. The vanilla cupcake was dry, but the flavor was okay. The chocolate cupcakes were as dry as they could get in comparison. It was so disappointing to see beautiful cupcakes but the quality not being to par. The icing was fine and honeslty is was made it edible.
