This & That Property Services was fantastic to work with. I highly recommend them and I'd use them again. When getting quotes, I found communication with other companies frustrating and off-putting. One company didn't respond when they advised they would, another seemed very rigid and inflexible. Steve (owner of This & That) was very personable, answered his calls when able, and responded in a timely manner. We received our landscape quote the day after he reviewed our yard. Before we committed to This & That, Steve came out again to discuss changes. Once we signed our agreement with him, Steve continued to be available to receive our calls, texts, and emails and was flexible with design changes. Steve was also very knowledgeable, straightforward, honest, and sincere in his communication. We showed Steve pictures of trees that we liked and he advised that he could get these trees, but also advised that the picture did not reflect how it looks in Colorado. We told him about our HOA requirements, and he explained and put us at ease regarding how he would meet them. Installation was also a great experience. Steve started on Tuesday, said they would wrap up on Monday. They finished early Friday, a full business day early. They absolutely overdelivered and surpassed our expectations. We were also able to make some minor deviations as they worked (made a play area for the kids larger, plant placement, adding additional rock, etc.) Also, while Steve wasn't onsite the entire time, he WAS onsite every day and for most of everyday. First impressions are always lasting impressions, of people or businesses. The first impression anyone gets of a business is communicating with them. This & That Property Services has failed at this first impression. My first call was returned 24hours later and unfortunately I was in a meeting and couldn't talk at length. We agreed that I would call back when I had a chance to talk further about the project. After numerous calls and messages I have yet to get an answer or response from This & That. While I cannot attest to their actual quality of work, I can attest to their lack of the first and most lasting impression of a business... Communication=non existent. I do wish I could have gotten them to respond as it appears they do good work. Alas I don't think I will get the chance... :( read more

We got an estimate done with This and That and they were extremely responsive and friendly when we called them. They were able to schedule an estimate ASAP and they made it out to our home within a couple of days. Steve did the estimate, he arrived on time and gave us lots of great input and design ideas on our landscaping project. The cost estimate was emailed to us within a couple of days. This company was referred to me through Nextdoor friends in my area and so I took a chance and gave them a call. I had an old pile of brush in my yard and really needed it hauled away without breaking the bank. I got a call back within a day and even though they were really busy, they made time to do it within a few days. Their price was very reasonable and they were finished in about 30 minutes, including the time it took to rake and clean up the sidewalk. They were very personable and efficient and I couldn't be happier to have all that brush gone! I should have done this forever ago!! read more

We bought a new Lennar home in the Waterstone community (Aurora). Since Lennar only landscapes the front of the home, the back yard area was an ugly, depressing mess of dirt, weeds, and detritus. Walking around the neighborhood, we came upon a lovely backyard, and the home owners gave us the contact information for This & That Property Services. Steve McDonald, owner, responded immediately to our inquiry and we worked out a plan to fit our budget that included a fence on both sides of the house, a concrete sidewalk around the house and patio platform, grassy area with irrigation, and rocks. (We are delaying further landscaping until Spring). The end result is excellent. The workers were completely professional, flexible to meet our requests, and the work was done in a timely manner; we had everything within a week. These guys are professional and reasonably priced. I thought my sprinkler system needed a couple new heads and I needed some instruction on working my control box at this new house. First, I drove by a shop in my neighborhood. They told me there would be a three-week wait for someone just to come out and look. Steve from this company was out less than 48 hours after my initial call, diagnosed the issues, and completed a much bigger project than I had initially expected within 48 more hours. He was fast, prompt, and helped us figure out where/how to best utilize our system. After using a variety of property services over the years, Dan and Steve are now my go-to for anything I need to hire out. THEY did all the work, and made sure I was happy with their service from top to bottom. While they were out I also asked for quotes on some edging work, and they were added that to the list and completed the work before they were done. Their prices were reasonable, and lower than some other work I've had done where the company didn't even do the work or check on the quality.
