Stopped in here after work with friends for a couple of beers and an appetizer. The service was amazing for this small local bar and loved the ambiance inside. I decided to try something different so I chose pepperoni chips. It was good surprisingly and the price was right. We would definitely come back to try something else off their menu. read more

This a a little neighborhood pub!! It gets busy on game nights and wing night, The food here is pretty good,, they have a good selection of burgers, sandwiches, pub grub. The beer is great, service is always good and they have a good seating area for both small and large groups. They also have an outdoor patio. they have 4 VLTS, but unfortunately there is no ATM machine. They make you go to the Reddi mart at the end of the complex if you need cash,, they do not do cash back either. Lots of regulars come here that live nearby. Servers are partial to the regular patrons, less friendly to average customers coming in. All in all it's a good place to come in for a drink and a bite read more

Super busy Thursday night at 6pm. Has a patio with umbrellas that's nice to sit at. Waitress was super busy but kind. Tried the Wachoos 1000 with side of chili. Sooo good. Waffle feels were fresh, mac and cheese was okay but probably would have traded for more waffle fries. I was worried about the Wacho sauce but it was great. Like a honey mustard. Wish I got a side of cheese sauce too! Chili was 10/10 great flavor and addition. Overall food was beyond my expectations and great little hidden gem. read more

ordered through door dash and the delivery was timely.But the order was wrong. They gave us regular fries I read it onion rings and Parmesan fries like we ordered. Been by recently, everything upgraded including the staff. Nicer to be served by younger peppy people. Food and service great. Better menu choices. Still a bad area so careful and lock your car. Cudos for the effort of the new owner. Ambience is about average. read more

Excellent neighborhood pub. The place offers specials everyday of the week, and quality of the food is amazing. There is also a variety of board games available for customers, as well as VLTs and some arcade games. Being walking distance from my house definitely makes it perfect for stumbling home. Servers are always working their butts off. Some nights they could use an extra body, but for the most part they can handle whatever is thrown at them. Summer time offers a patio as well which can accomodate bigger crowds. Good spot to catch NFL or Oilers Hockey!! read more

Updated review- we have become regulars here. The food is consistently awesome, and the service is excellent. We are always checking what the daily special is, and so far Wing Wednesday and Wine/Appie Thursday is our favourite. If you want predictably awesome food and neighbourhood feel, this is the place!!! I dare say...best -smash- burgers in canada. (and I dont take my reviews lightly) and ive had A LOT of burgers across Canada. got takeout so cant comment on service BUT the servers were SO NICE. does seem like a fun little bar, so might try dine in sometime but in the meantime: got the Eastwood and the Bacon Blu - both ABSOLUTE hits, flavour, quality, texture, smash, ugh. doesnt leave you feeling like crap even though they're big burgers, and the fries were awesome too. If you haven't tried it you can't know - excited for next time, and to try more stuff on the menu! read more

We visited the Thirsty Rhino for an Oilers playoff game that was on Saturday, April 29. Here is a list of items that we experienced. No Bacardi Rum - Rum and Coke are our drink and they don't serve Bacardi. No Cranberry Juice - Cran and Vodka is our friend's drink. TV's that are beyond small... and we were sitting right in front of one. No Coffee - Coffee and Bailey's is our friend's drink No added ambiance for the game of the season. The server advised us that the Manager would not go to the convenience store to get cranberry juice because it is too expensive. We asked to speak with the Manager and the server said the Manager was not in. Sent an email to The Thirsty Rhino to advise of our experience.... and did not receive a response. Thirsty Rhino Manager... where are you???? Hopefully buying Bacardi Rum, Cranberry Juice and Coffee. read more

A neighbourhood bar with a bit of a difference. The Thirsty Rhino is a (relatively) new addition in the north end of the city. The decor is pretty chic, and yes they have a rhino head on display - shiny silver, not real! The beer offering is your standard keith's, Rickard's red etc, so not too special. Where the Thirsty Rhino really shines is the food. They sell flatbread pizzas - the Italian sausage was delicious! The burgers are pretty decent and the tacos are great! For a local watering hole they definitely get the job done. read more

WOW! IS all I can say! I heard great reviews for this place but I was still shocked on how great everything was! Sorry no pictures, it got devoured! We have the chicken and fries (the chicken was so good my kid actually ate it haha!) they were smaller pieces (but lots) almost like a pop corn chicken and crunchy! SOO YUMMY! I had the Notorious BLTC, didn't know what type of bun I was going to receive but it came super soft and fresh! With REAL bacon!!! And hubby got the hockey and guacamole in naan bread! Was amazing. Gravy in my poutine was like no other poutine, full of flavour! With REAL cheese curds. If you have not tried this place.... it's a must! I give it a 10/10 read more

My husband and I randomly stopped in on a Saturday and were pleasantly surprised. It's a very cute local spot with decent food and prices.

I ordered a house salad and dry garlic ribs. House salad was fairly overpriced considering it was 70% iceberg lettuce. Barely any other veggies. Garlic ribs were actually super delicious. Serving size was a little bit smaller than I expected but the great flavour saved it. My main disappointment was the salad. I paid $14 for iceberg lettuce. read more

I never knew this place existed until lunch today. I went there with some old friends, one of us was in a rush so he politely asked if they could make our food fast... They did not disappoint! I feel like our food took no more than 5 minutes and the burger I ordered was amazing. The fries were also noteworthy. Staff was very friendly and I certainly plan on going back. read more

Foods good, service has been hit n miss for us. Not regulars so maybe that would have counted if we were. Last 2 times we have actually walked out because servers had not taken our order or even acknowledged us. Nice to see a local Pub doing well. What a great place! I went there with some coworkers for lunch and the food and service was truly amazing. I had a cheeseburger and was not disappointed. Cooked to perfection with a delicious side Caesar salad. The others ordered burgers of various types. Everyone agreed the food was top notch. The server was really friendly and always ensured our pops were topped up. Our food arrived hot and fresh. The pub is in a quiet strip mall and there was plenty of parking. We have been in this pub in our neighbourhood before. The drinks and food were very good. You get the feeling though if you are not one of the regulars, you are looked upon as an outsider. Last night was a prime example. Four of us arrived at the pub around 6:30 pm and were left standing at the door. We noticed that several tables had a reserved sign on it. The waitress noticed and ignored us. Would it hurt to come over and explain that there was a birthday party happening later. A nice couple seated near the front offered us their table as they were about to leave. The waitress hearing that, quickly came over at that point and said we couldn't sit there as it was reserved. No other explanation. I'm not sure she gets that we have lived in the neighbourhood for almost 30 years and this kind of negativity can spread. Very disappointing. read more

Great location for the locals around the near blocks. It has positive and negatives. The positives are that the food is really good and comes out fast! Each day has a different special which is important. On hockey nights they have a cheap beer and snack menu! Cant go wrong with that! The negatives are just a few, the bar manager and waitresses are pretty lazy. (unless you are their friend) If you plan on staying awhile for drinks be prepared for your service to go down hill. They like to sit on the chairs and look on their phone's while the bar is empty on drinks. I believe they are still the old staff from the previous bar. Id say out with the old and in with the new if they want to keep this place busy. Also I would not say they have a patio, its cluttered with junk and no maintenance. But like I said overall, I give it 5 stars because the food has always come out great even through skip the dishes. read more
