On opening day there were garlands of hops decorating the storefront and a crowd of people hoping to get a taste of some of the free sour ales as well as a Geuze from 1981.. The interior looks rustic and brown, a huge change from the bright turquoise and light wood from before, and it's obviously even smaller now that a bar counter has been added. Hopefully in the summer they will share the tables outdoor with Mikkeller & Friends. They also have a backroom with some vintage bottles for the beer lover with a fat wallet. Not so focused on microbrew as some other dedicated beer bars in Copenhagen, but they have a selection of Mikkeller and Nørrebro Bryghus beers. They have a rotating tap selection and being December, it is filled with Christmas beer. They also have an extensive bottle selection which you'll just have to see for yourselves, because I can't recall them all and some I've never heard of. Big space, lots of seating, efficient service, and a laid-back local feel without degenerating into a dive bar. There were a few strange characters on a Friday night, but I think this was mostly due to julefrokost season leaving some very drunk folks very early in the evening. The beers are delicious - I especially like the Berliner Weisse, as I go for low ABV beers, and not IPAs. That said, I had a Mikkeller IPA and liked it - it was nicer than the super pushy American IPAs. Love the atmosphere here, very hygge with the candles and all. Guys behind the bar were really friendly and helpful as well. Will return next time in CPH!
