    Lobster roll
    Rachel M.

3rd Street Cafe called my name because they had a lobster roll on their menu. Oddly enough, the waitress convinced me on the lobster nachos. There was also a picture on yelp with nice good pieces of lobster on the nacho's. Unfortunately, that was not the case. They were tiny itty bitty pieces, like teeny tiny. I was pretty turned off by it, but the management was nice enough to take my nachos back, and brought me back the lobster roll. It was pretty good, I must say. My hubby got a burger and he greatly enjoyed it. All in all, it was a good spot. They have a super cute outside patio as well that is dog friendly. They also have a happy hour as well too. It was at a bit later time than when we got there, so we did not take advantage of it.

First time here and went for Sunday brunch ,cute with indoor and outdoor dinning, I recommend making calling to make reservations, hostesses very welcoming and pleasant along with the waiter staff, knowledgeable in the menu and ingredients. Everything was prepared fresh and tasteful. Had a chance to talk to the chef and was impressed with his menu and new up coming specials. Smoked prime rib , the smoked ribs I had tried today were perfect with a great smoke taste, and some other new ideas, don't want to let the cat out of the bag. From what I understood the lobster nachos and lobster roll is only served between 2 and 6 pm at the Lizard lounge as finger foods while enjoying cocktails after a day at the beach. We will definitely return and advise on the diner fare.

Such a cute spot with good food. It was a beautiful night so we sat outside. We loved the atmosphere with the twinkling lights. I had the grouper - blackened. It was awesome. I would highly recommend it. The service was very slow, but we were relaxed and didn't complain. Even so, the manager recognized the slow service and offered us dessert on the house. The key lime pie was very good.

I had one meal to enjoy today in Boca Grande and this place really let me down. We entered through the back area, across the patio area. There was one occupied table on the patio and another one inside. So, it wasn't busy at all. Yet it took about 15 minutes to order and receive our drinks... that set the scene for the rest of experience. The fact that it was about an hour before we received our food and three in our party only ordered side salads, was enough to complain about. But considering our party was made up of 6 people, I didn't complain. I ordered the lobster roll and fries as my side. First off... the fries are what I would call shoestring fries, not the waffle fries as pictured in several pictures featured on Yelp. Normally a like thin fries, but not when they are cold. I've not had many lobster rolls in my days, but this one was the worst. The three that ordered the side salads all complained that they were plain and weren't worth near the $9 price tag. One person in my party ordered a BLT and stated that the bacon was very crispy. So, if crispy bacon is your thing, you might like it...

This beautiful hidden cafe & garden were so wonderful. We had a delicious dinner, and Yvonne's service was terrific! We'd recommend this high quality meal for anyone looking for a relaxed and romantic evening on Boca Grande. (Also dog friendly - always a plus)

In this restaurant I enjoyed so much the superlative Linguine with clams. It is not easy to find a place in the United States where seafood cuisine remains simple and genuine without the addition of sauces and strange condiments. At the 3rd Street Bistro the Linguine were fantastic, the tastes were well balanced and the seasoning was abundant. As soon as I finished the course I went to compliment the cook (with a bit of a bewilderment from our waiter) and I simply told him that I hadn't tasted such exquisite linguine for years. Boca Grande is gorgeous and the place still deserves a trip just for the 3rd Street Bistro.

Ok, but very overpriced for what you get as most places on this island. PJ's seaside grill was great for the food and money spent.

I ended up sitting there for 40 minutes before I left with our food. When they had me pay, I noticed they messed up the order and swapped the chicken entree for the gyro entree. So I had to wait for them to fix it. She apologized and gave us extra baklava to make up the difference in price, but after I got home and looked at the menu, I should have owed her more money rather than them giving me extra baklava. Other than the cluster of picking the food up, we thought it was all delicious. The portions seemed on the smaller size for a platter that supposedly can feed 2-3 people but with our extra entrees, it was the perfect amount for us. The hummus was great with the warm pita, the meat was all flavorful, and the baklava was a great way to end the meal. The "salad" that comes with the Sultan Feast isn't really a salad but just a few cut up veggies. Overall, I felt bad for the 2 ladies running the front alone because they were very busy and they kept apologizing for the wait times. The food was great though and we would definitely order it again.

Putting out place settings outside at tables, and turning on lights......welcomed us right in!! Service is perfect, the water glass never got past half empty (needed after 9 hole in heat advisory and 90F plus weather) It was nice fresh water! We got some pita and hummus for a little app. Pretty good, the hummus was a little thin for dipping and spreading more like a dressing consistency, but tasted great! The pita was fresh baked and properly done. Wife got a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. She said it was very good and the greens and cheese were fresh and flavorful. The chicken was a little charred/burnt edged but not dry. 8/10 I got the Beet Salad and thought this would be my last try for falafel on a salad. (the last three other restaurants it has been a greasy fried ball of "bread crumb sand". yech! Well not here at L'Olive - just the opposite!!!!!! A nice filling that was moist and not bready, just beans and herbs and a nice filling. A LIGHTY fried and NOT very oily at all! 10/10 Falafel is back on my vegan/WFPB/Nutritarian food list. The beets were perfect and ample, the baby spinach was perfect and must have been grown out back in a field it was so green and tasty!! Toss in some yummy figs pieces, a light and nice dressing. Walnuts and orange slices competed the collage of goodies. (I got this sans the goat cheese - "naaaaaaah" I am sheepish about those cheeses) Great salad. 10/10 We both (after the second bread board of pita showed up!!!) had to take half our salads home for the beach tomorrow. Friggin awesome take home boxes!!! They are like Tupperware and we are gonna schlep them right down to the beach!!! I said it before but just to add, service was awesome. These guys are less than 2 miles from our house..... we WILL be back!! Nice job! ========= Note to owner ==== NOT part of the review but an aside. The place is very nice and super clean and nice layout and fantastic sturdy hard chairs for folks with bad backs and etc. and great bathrooms.....HOWEVER 1) you need to reverse the door on the men's room or move that privacy screen and plant - crazy clumsy and goofy. 2) throw out the electric room deodorizer in both bathrooms. they stink worse than five car wash air fresheners! The atomized chemicals wafted my wife and she felt ill. I checked out the men's room and it felt like I was vaping in that "smoke". Pretty musty and stinky.
