Five of us for the first time last night. We were sat at our table exactly at the time of our reservation. We sat at the bar first had some wine. The place was still pretty much empty so the service was good. It went a little south when we got to our table. The waiter brought water over immediately, took over 20 minutes to have them come back to get our drink order. Then it took another 15 minutes to get our drinks from bar. they weren't correct, took another seven minutes to get the correct drinks. Our waiter was new and he did apologize. It seemed the bar got slammed and couldn't keep up with the drinks, the waiter was new and didn't understand the drink orders.. The restaurant was now full. No appetizers ordered soup and salads with the meal. They came out one at a time. And two of them we had to ask for have them to get served. The food was all served at the same time. Excellent meals, delicious food wide variety of what we ordered. Everyone loved it. Only exception, Was a peppercorn sauce for one meal had the flavor of McCormack's instant gravy and no peppercorns in it. The manager was on the spot. we got a replacement bar drinks, as it should be, by this point we're already at our table for over 30 minutes. Nothing was comped on the , maybe it didn't need to be. We did get the correct drinks at the but from start to finish from ordering to was 30 minutes.. The acoustics completely sucks a -100 rating. It was so loud we couldn't even hear each other or Talk next to each other. But that's the atmosphere. If you're looking for a dinner to have conversation when this restaurant is full, this is probably not the place. The pricing was in within what we expected not hi not low we eat out a lot. It was where it should be. At the end, they have a lot of kinks to work out, service has some need for improvement, kitchen and bar needs the timing down, the bar needs more staffing to keep up, the food was stellar. We requested the Chef to come to the table, and he did, complemented him on his delicious food. no one starts a new business and have it 100% smooth. will give time to work out the kinks and give it a second try. it was the delish food that saved it. and when we did receive the drinks, they were all excellent as well. read more

A CHANGE OF PLANS... THAT TURNED INTO A BEAUTIFUL AFTERNOON! Castaways to Latitude's Today was supposed to be the day our CCGFs finally embarked on Castaways for their soft opening for friends & family. Unfortunately, we did not receive the final approval from the County in time, and our plans had to change at the very last minute. As mentioned in the original post, Castaways' management had graciously made arrangements for 50 of our Girlfriends to be accommodated at Latitude's should Castaways not be able to host us. Thankfully, that option was available to us. As the host, I want to sincerely apologize to anyone who was disappointed by the change and decided not to join us. I completely understand the excitement surrounding Castaways, and I also understand that a last-minute change can be disappointing. Neither Castaways' management nor I could have anticipated this unexpected turn of events. Sometimes, despite our best planning, circumstances simply change beyond our control. But for those who came along and joined us at Latitude's... what a wonderful afternoon it became! We had 30+ CCGFs together, and the room was filled with exactly what makes our lunches so special--conversation, smiles, laughter, catching up, new friendships and simply enjoying being together. We also had the pleasure of celebrating two belated birthdays for Girlfriends who weren't able to join us in August. Of course, we weren't going to let their birthdays pass without a proper CCGF celebration! And we welcomed FOUR newcomers! Two were joining us for their second lunch, while two were brand-new Girlfriends. It was wonderful to see how naturally everyone connected and how quickly our newest ladies became part of the group. That, to me, is what CCGF is truly about. It isn't always about the restaurant, the plans or the destination. It's about the women sitting around the table. It's about making connections, welcoming one another, sharing a laugh, celebrating special moments and creating memories together. And then came an unexpected little bonus... WE GOT TO SEE CASTAWAYS AFTER ALL! At the end of our lunch, the front manager graciously offered us a tour of Castaways. And WOW! This place is going to be something special! With seating for 400+ guests, a beautiful bar, wonderful tables and comfortable seating, lively colors and an atmosphere that feels both fun and inviting, there is truly something appealing for everyone and every age. So while we didn't get to experience our Castaways lunch today, we were fortunate enough to get a sneak peek--and I think many of us walked away even more excited to return when the time is right! Today was a wonderful reminder that sometimes the best memories come from plans that don't go exactly as expected. Thank you to every Girlfriend who joined us today, rolled with the change, opened her heart to the afternoon and helped make it such a lovely experience. Your smiles, laughter and willingness to simply enjoy each other are what make these CCGF gatherings so special. I am truly grateful for each and every one of you. Here's to the next lunch, the next adventure and, of course... our eventual which is scheduled for December 30, 2026!! For our Castaways experience! read more

We had a wonderful meal at Latitude 26. The view is wonderful from almost any where you sit. We started off with the spinach mushroom dip and it was amazing. For our main course we split the special which was a filet, lobster, scollops and shrimp. Even though we shared, we still had a little to take home. We were excited and happy that a new place opened in what was an empty spot waiting for the right venue! Upon entering you are welcomed with friendly faces and smiles. The interior is very mundane. Simple white walls and ceilings very bland however clean. The server ISH, was friendly and helpful. We order calamari, shrimp and scallop salad and the strip steak. Interesting we could not replace the vegetable on the plate with something we were not allergic too we had to add a side because " thats the way it comes". The drinks were good. The food was fresh. But it lacked flavor. Honestly I cannot believe I am saying this. At the menu prices everyone should have a memorable experience. Either of the entree's while great presentation were finished in a way a person would not come back to get that same dish. my partner and I said the same thing at the same time. I want to like it I just cannot. She liked the drinks and the steak was cooked perfectly just no seasoning the salad was fresh but it was lettuce shrimp and oranges nothing to bring it together. It looks like to me the place was designed for tourists in the busy season not for the community. The servers were trained well to suggestive sell, we left lacking the over the top moment. The setting was the unforgettable part,sunset was epic but I can watch that while eating a burger at the other place for a 1/10of the price. Go there tell me I am wrong. Tourists will love it. It is open past 7:00PM which is a huge advantage. We will try it again but with much lower expectation. Think Outback but less and you will be good. read more

My wife and I stopped by for a late lunch on a Saturday. We got a nice booth and were served promptly. The waitress was very good. There's not much in the way of ambiance. It looks as though they may still be decorating in there, which may explain the bad acoustics, but it's got a good, clean look to it. We both ordered their rum punch drinks, which were very good. However, they were overpriced for the size at $15.00 per drink. Seriously. The glasses were really small. We were excited to try a variety of their dishes, so we ordered two appetizers- the calamari and their spinach and mushroom dip. Both were delicious, but again, there wasn't much in the calamari order at all. The spinach dip was a good size though and came with some nice bread. For the entrees, my wife ordered the lobster roll and I ordered the prime rib sandwich. My wife did not enjoy the lobster roll at all. It was one of those that mainly had the minced "lobster" meat, which makes one wonder how much actual lobster is in it, and it was quite dry. My prime rib sandwich was good. It was seasoned well and was a decent size. The cheese sauce on it was a little strange, but somehow worked. Both entrees were decently priced. We both had the Parmesan fries as a side, which were very good. Overall, lunch there was just ok, bordering on "meh." We do plan to go back to try a dinner there based upon other reviews we've seen, but we're not optimistic. Again, the service was very good. Our server Tiffany was very friendly and attentive, but overall, the food was just ok. We hope to have a better time wth the dinner, and I'll update it when we go. read more

I know it's new but they have to realize that these early opinions will last given all the other restaurants in the area Wagyu meatballs as an app and grouper on rice were very good both taste and portion size. Those were the highlights My dad ordered tomato basil soup - never showed up. My lamb ordered medium was well done My dad got large filet medium and it was med rare bordering on rare. Sea bass came with two dollups of mashed potatoes with no veggies and portion of fish was about 1/3 the size of a pack of cigarettes None of the meals come with a salad no substitutions are allowed even switching between rice and mash potatoes On only a few menu options to you get a veggie and a starch If you want bread it's an extra $5 but not worth it No VO whiskey or Makers Mark which was surprising for such a large bar The view is wonderful but surprised they put up a half wall between main floor and lower window seats which impedes the view Waitress and manager were very nice and understanding. They were very apologetic. They just kept saying put it all in the review so that's what I'm doing I don't think we will ever go back given we love the other two restaurants there BTW ambiance and service was fine . Although the view is very nice, the food was borderine at best. The tuna was not properly cooked. The marsala plate was insipid and lacked any modicum of a sauce. The scallops howvever were very good. Although the service was slightly better than average, it got old listening to the entteaty "Give us time snd we'll be good." Went two weeks ago to celebrate with friends for their anniversary. Appetizers were pretty good, chips with filet meat on top, calamari, and brussel sprouts. Prime rib was excellent, pork chop was good, sea bass very good and shrimp scampi. Service was great. Returned last night for our anniversary, same four in the party and very disappointed. Appetizer selected were the Brussels sprouts , meatballs, and bread tray. Just ok at their best. For dinner we had two fish and chips, almost like frozen box stuff, pork chop, not so good and Parmesan chicken, very overcooked . Service was poor, could not understand the very curt waiter and had to stop him just to get refills on drinks. All four very disappointed and said we probably won't return. It's not cheap but nothing is. Too many good restaurants in town that deserve patronage. read more

We made reservations for our Anniversary and I was very excited to try this new place. We arrived and were seated promptly. The view was nice, but the dining room was hot and very uncomfortable. We waited approximately 25 to 30 minutes and never received any kind of service, but other patrons were being waited on. The restaurant was not even busy. We decided, before it got too late to dine anywhere else, to get up and leave. Thats when we received all kinds of attention, but we continued out, so we didn't waste any more of our time. When we left there were several wait staff just standing around. What a disappointment!! We will not go there again. read more

Very Sterile. All bright white with no expenditure on any decor! Very Noisy! Should have taken a page out of Chophouse 285 in Englewood FL and added sound dampeners. Ordered Deviled Eggs and they did not have any. Then ordered the Wagyu Meatballs. Wow, I have had better frozen. Whoops, they may have been. Place screams Sysco, Ouch! Did I mention the temperature?? This was the only thing that was smoking hot about this new Punta Gorda addition. If it goes out of business it would make a great urgent care facility. read more

BRUTALLY HONEST REVIEW More like Latitude 2 out of 6 To start we had the wagyu meatballs if they are wagyu it's a very low grade they were decent and some what dry over priced in my opinion Main course I had ordered the lemon butter seabass whenever it hit the table we were immediately hit with a strong fishy smell I took 1 bite and it tasted very off so I had returned it and I also seen 1 other person return it so I got the lamb chops instead the quality of the lamb was good the seasonings were very basic the mint sauce was kinda like a wanna be tzatziki sauce the potato purée that pairs with it was flavorless Sides we had ordered the asparagus and buttered corn both were extremely dry and they came out under room temperature Final verdict: decent spot don't let the recency bias influence you I think this is a good spot for people who aren't really looking for flavor this seems more like a spot for people that look for scenery over food And to clarify I am not a person that complains on prices if a dish is $100 and it's good I will gladly pay it read more
