    Lavender lemonade ale of sorts
    Emily W.

This was my first time making it out to Third Spacing Brewing. First thing to know is parking is extremely limited and you'll probably find yourself parking on the street. I wish they had a bigger lot because this place is pretty large if you are sitting outside. I came on a Thursday night at 5 and they had a live band at 7. I got a lavender lemonade ale but I couldn't taste the lavender at all. To me it was just okay as beer goes. They had board games you could play with friends. They didn't really have food but they had a vendor that had a tent outside selling hamburgers and things. Overall it's got a really good patio and I would probably come again on a sunny day and so I can try a different beer.

Good service and the atmosphere is laid back. If you don't know what to get the bartenders will let you try a few samples. They want you to have what you like. They have a lot to choose from. The outdoor area is great when the weather permits. Nice spot down on St. Paul in Milwaukee

On a recent brewery crawl in Milwaukee, we stopped into Third Space to have a beer and play a game! A private lot outside makes parking pretty easy! The space itself has plenty of seating for various size groups! We grabbed a table near the loading dock, which was away from the louder noises happening around the brewery! Service was excellent! We wanted to play Yahtzee, and there were no score sheets left so the bartender went out of his way to print us out new ones. Top notch! The beer was lovely! Lots to choose from but I particularly liked the Smoked Lager! The rest of the group enjoyed their IPAs, as well! Some snacks (pretzels, popcorn) are available for purchase but no food on the premises.

Tl dr: amazing beer, amazing space and kid and dog friendly! What's a set of parents to do when they have twin soon to be toddlers that (in the most loving way) keep them captive at home by 7ish when they go to bed???? Get your butts as a family to an amazing brewery of course. Enter Third Space - open during the afternoon with great beer, a wide open outdoor space for bags or other fun activities and a relaxed atmosphere. People seem to love to bring their dogs and children, so there's always activity and fun people/pup watching. My husband's favorite is Unite the Clans and I've always loved their Java Blanca but it's only available certain times of year. So, I'll normally get something random that sounds good to me, and it will be!!!! Staff is friendly and kind and the place is always kept clean and accessible. Lots of amazing ramps to keep things accessible for all folks. Will always make Third Space a part of our family's fun beer get-out-of-the-house-for-a-bit rotation. PS years ago I rented the space for my husband's 30th birthday. It was fantastic, the staff was wonderful to work with and it definitely helped with the space as it was a HUGE group of folks.

Great outdoor space to enjoy good drinks. I am not big on beer, but being in Milwaukee I obviously had to stop at a brewery. Third space is the first place my friend recommended and today was the perfect day to have a drink outside. The space gives industrial vibes being close to the railway and the bartenders were knowledgeable. Outside is dog friendly and that's always fun. Also there was a cool food truck parked outside! Having a taco truck on Cinco de Mayo was definitely the move. Overall 4/5 stars and I'd return again.

Probably our favorite taproom in the city! We love Third Space beers, always a bunch of options on tap. Their Ice Bear Fest in January is one of the best Winter events in Milwaukee! So fun!

Third Space is an awesome brewery, I personally enjoy their selections and the space is unique. They've expanded their outdoor seating area. It's a family and kid friendly place. They have live music so check their website for shows! I do wish they had some food options BUT they are okay with you having food delivered and have food trucks during the summer! Plenty of parking in the lot or on the street if needed. You can also buy their beer cans to go or at many local stores.

Checked out this brewery with some friends, and we were blown away by the creative selection of beers and excellent service. They were legitimately excited to have us sample various offerings so we could decide what to order a full pours of. They mentioned there would be a tour starting in about 20 minutes, so we joined it. Our tour guide McKenna was excellent - informative and funny. It is clear the staff here really care to make you feel welcome and their craft beer speaks for itself. Will definitely come back next time we are in Milwaukee.

"You have your home, you have your work, but everyone needs a third space". This is the motto of my favorite Milwaukee based brewery! Located in the Menomonee River Valley, they have a revamped, expanded beer garden. That space includes an outdoor bar, lots of seating, a stage and space for yard games, seating and fire pits. During summer they have live music on Thursdays and the Triciclo Peruvian food truck on site (bonus: they do allow carry in food)! But the real show stopper here are the beers. They have a great selection that is sure to please everyone! If you are indecisive like me than go for the Happy Place (flagship brew), a really smooth, balanced hoppy pale ale. Another great option is Unite the Clans: A Scottish ale with slightly roasty and malty flavors. All the IPA's are wonderful, and they also have some fun, interesting seasonal brews. Another cool thing about this place: Every Friday @ 5:45 they do what is called The Brewmaster's Toast: He toasts the crowd, taps the keg and every beer from that keg is $1 until the keg blows. They also do Yoga classes and other events throughout the year. This is a solid spot to hang out year-round, but if its summer in Milwaukee you'd be hard-pressed to find a better spot to grab a beer (or 2), take in the rays and listen to some tunes than at this killer brewery.

What a difference a couple years makes. Not only has Third Space upped the game but they set the bar at an entirely new level. I'm so glad I didn't "give up" on this place. Hoppy Place has been and will always be one of my favorites go to beers and Third Space keeps rolling out the hits with a solid assortment of stouts and IPAs. Then icing on the cake is the revamped outdoor space of the brewery and the amazing IPA Fest they put on with more Wisconsin breweries than you could shake a stick at. We came in VIP style and I'm sure glad we did since we got to go around and sample a good portion of the goods and sit in our own dedicated area that included 5 beers not on tap for anyone else. Third Space is beer heaven. Keep up the good work and keep making the digs as comfortable and chill as they come!

Another great stop for local beer and chill vibes! Third Space has some of our favorite tap selections in the city! Happy Place is my go-to brew at pretty much any local bar or restaurant. We were lucky to be here on an unusually warm April day, so our pup got to join us outside! Their expanded outdoor space is fantastic, and we can't wait to come back for some outdoor events and live music on the stage. Would be great if dogs were allowed inside the taproom, since they don't seem to have a kitchen, but the fabulous outdoor vibe makes up for that. Don't miss this one!

After receiving a recommendation from our favorite Chicago brewery, we stopped by Third Space Brewery the last two times we've been in Milwaukee. We were not only pleased, but we were blown away! My spouse loves IPAs and he was thrilled at the hop-forward nature of many of the beers. His favorite of the IPA option was the Heavenly Haze. He loved how it was hop forward, while also being juicy and flavorful. He looks forward to continuing to try more varieties in future visits. I've tried a variety of different beers during our visits, but some of my favorites include the Ice Bear (Baltic porter) and Thaison (Thai spice saison). Both are creative and rich in flavors. But my favorite was the Frog Weiss, the raspberry fruited sour. The flavor was bright, crisp, and distinct without being overly sweet. I also look forward to trying many more in the future. The staff are great, health and safety rules are followed enabling employees and customers to both be safe, and space is wide open for spreading out, both inside and outside. Chic, new, and ever expanding, it is a great place to come with a group or for some one-on-one time! There is a food truck on site, but you can also bring food from outside. Win-win! We highly recommend Third Space and we look forward to many more visits in the future. It is definitely the best new brewery in the Milwaukee scene!

Ask the Community - Third Space Brewing

    Is there parking nearby?

They have their own private lot with plenty of parking available every time I've been in :)

    Are dogs allowed inside!?

Apparently if your dog can sit on your lap the dog is allowed, but they will kick out any big dogs that come inside. (What happen to us, they let another woman stay with her smaller dog).

Do they have a gluten free optoon?

We do not brew our own gluten-free beers but we always have a gluten free option from another local brewery on hand at our tap room.

I was disappointed to learn that they don't make their special flavored cheese curds on Fridays, but the regular ones were just fine and enough for our table to share. There's a little deck in the back that overlooks the Milwaukee River that we were able to enjoy on a beautiful, unseasonably warm day. Overall a nice time here. One kind of weird thing that happened here, which I only mention because it didn't seem like our tour guide was able to handle it in the moment, and they definitely need a system in place to handle guests that are making the rest of the group uncomfortable. There was a guy who kept turning around and staring at people, fidgeting in a way that I recognized as agitation, and kind of pacing. All the parents who had kids in the group realized there was a problem and even though we didn't know each other, kind of formed a line in front of the kids. I'm sure it was a one-off, but there has to be a way to deal with guests like that. Also a little weird that kids over the age of 12 have to pay for the tour, but each of their soda drinks took two tokens, while the adults only used one for beers.

On that Friday, we drove up from Chicago, checked into hotel, & went to the Brewers game. The next day I was trying to find out Millers brew tours (even though I don't like their beer, but it's an iconic large American brand), but they didn't do the tours anymore. I think they may have stopped them when Covid happened, never brought them back or at least at that point. I was searching online & calling around as I thought it'd be cool to do some brewing tour, and places said no. Finally, Indeed Brewing said come on down, we will give you a tour. Speaking of I is for Indeed, I was at I for an Industrial museum, well various art about people at work called Grohmann Museum, and I had dropped my friend off at the Science Museum. I called him and said I found a brew tour. We both enthusiastically went over to Indeed. The owner gave us a tour of the various. He told us to wait as he was busy, pretty busy on that Saturday afternoon, go get yourself a beer. Wow, great beer! The tour was informative. My friend got a 2nd beer. I'm a bit slower of a drinker. After his 2nd beer, he was buzzed and said I know it's going to sound crazy and that I would probably say no, but wanna go to the Brewers game again? I'd say the baseball game again was the beer talking, but he loves baseball, so I'm sure he would've said that anyway. I said Brewers were my favorite between going to White Sox on Wednesday, Cubs on Thursday, & Brewers on Friday, but I don't wanna go to baseball game for the 4th night in a row, and there was more I wanted to explore in Milwaukee. We were going to be leaving the next morning to take a side trip to Madison and then leave from O'Hare later in the afternoon. Incidentally, while I enjoyed Milwaukee on my own that night, I missed a great game as Brewers pitcher Adrian Houser threw a complete game-shutout! No way of knowing. And the night before Cardinals slaughtered Brewers 15-4. So, I went to the wrong game, but I had a lot of fun. In summary, Indeed Brewing was a great memory of the tour, great beer, nice owner, & nice crew. If I'm ever in Milwaukee again, I'd revisit Indeed.
