Third Planet was located a quick walk from my hotel while in Houston and being somewhat a comicbook nerd, I definitely needed to check this place out and see if I needed to bring anything back with me to Florida. In some ways this place is overwheliming in the fact that its huge and there are things everywhere for you to look at. I'm one hundred percent sure that there are things there I missed purely because there is so much that your eyes can't focus on it all. They had pogs, xmen action figures, comics, mugs, t shirts- I mean, I could ramble on forever... They've got a huge selection of comics and toys. If you're looking for anything specific in either, I'm sure they've got it there. While I was there I was offered assistance multiple times by different people so they are on it when it comes to customer service which is great. So many cool vintage toys to choose from. This place is perfect for anyone who likes ANYTHING comic book related. I'm optimistic that you'd find something here and the prices are reasonable which makes it even better!

Always drove by this place on 59 and finally decided to stop in. They have a decent selection. A very very limited Manga or anime section - the items they did have none had a complete collection. Nice place to browse and the staff was friendly!

Third Planet seems to have a huge selection of just about everything comic book related. From books, comic books, action figures, sculptures, new and vintage. It's a big store and it's full of stuff. Today was my third trip here. Customer service has been pretty hit or miss. First time, no one spoke a single word to me the entire time I was in the store. Second time, both employees couldn't have been nicer. Third time, of the five employees I saw, one asked how I was doing and if he could help me find anything. One was a little standoff-ish and the other three never said a word.

The walls are lined with action figures, and I could not believe that this many toys would be in one place.

I'd never been to this new location and while it's a little different it still feels the same to me. I move that they offer free game playing. They've got video games, arcade games, and so on. Decent selection of comic books. Great staff. Themed cocktails. All-around win!

From the outside, it's a little more polished--not exactly the scrappy dive bar exterior we grew up with--but don't let that fool you. Step inside, and it's like nothing ever changed (in the best possible way). The vibe is still unapologetically nerdy and nostalgic: old video games, comic books everywhere, tournament setups, and three custom arcade cabinets that are worth the trip alone. No pingpong room though... Even the bathrooms are keeping the tradition alive--patrons have already started tagging them up, just like the OG location. It's that kind of beautiful chaos that makes Neil's special. The crowd? Same eclectic, welcoming, slightly-chaotic energy. Whether you're there for a trivia night, a game tournament, or just to grab a drink and button-mash for a while, it still feels like the right place to be.
