They have TONS of professional tools!! Including silk press, vinyl cut, a station to assemble prints/zines etc, a station with a hood to do spray paints!! Looked like they had all kinds of paint brushes one might try, LOTs of professional sinks in their clean up area, even a fridge, small lockers, cubbies and a microwave if you need to put in an extra long session. All set up in the most organized and functional fashion, it's SO COOL!! They also offer classes to learn new techniques! The studio rate looks to be $10 an hour for individuals and $20 for a family unit, ( it's gotta be Guardians and kids who live under the same roof, it's not necessarily a group rate) I was shocked to see so much cool stuff at once so this list isn't complete and I've yet to get everyone together for a visit, but upon first glance this looks like an incredible community asset!!

Came here for the community aspect as they hosted one of many locations for a town wide community cocktail walk was going on. We sipped cardamom-lemon vodka here as featured by a local restaurant. While there we chatted with the shop employees who were very nice. While sipping we browsed the studio looking at are pieces by local artists which can be purchased. A perfect example of supporting small business and local art. Push/Pull lives up to their statement being a part of and promoting the community. There is a fair amount art supplies here - including but of course not limited to Sketch books, brushes, glazes, paints, easels and more. They offer classes and have info about events going, so if you're an artist and want to be in more 'in the know' it may be worth checking out Push/Pull simply for that. I hope Push/Pull continues to be a part of the neighborhood!

From founder SEAN to Amanda and Alex and Henry and Morgan and Sarah, everyone is kind and helpful. It is also a place where I, an experoenced clay worker, can find my way and finish projects started elsewhere and start new ones. I would like to see more advanced workers, maybe visiting from afar or close, but that too seems possible. This is a great studio and there is room for more beginners or experienced people. Good available clays and slips and stains and glazes. Great tile samples. Most of all, an oasis where touch and imagination can mix!

It is so amazing to see a store like this pop-up in the "New Seattle era," one that encourages the exploration our individual creativity while also fostering community. I had done a one day wheel lesson…read moreelsewhere but otherwise had no experience, and I felt like with the instruction from John I was able to pick it up very quickly. It was cool to see how differently each students pieces came out, we all received the same instruction but had the freedom to be creative with the end results. I made 8 finished pieces by the end of the course, and I think the price of the course is super reasonable for what you get out of it! I definitely recommend this course, and they also have an intermediate option which I hope to take in the future!

They offer a wide range of classes from beginner to advanced skills. They have drying areas and a kiln where they will fire your creations. Street parking is limited in the area, but there is an underground garage located right across the street. The underground parking garage does charge a pretty steep per-hour rate however (3 hrs was over $17 as of 2/2023). Overall, a nice space with good people. A great space to learn or practice your ceramics. Definitely worth checking out!

The store is so aesthetic and thoughtfully curated, it's like the kind of bookshop that makes you want to read every book on the shelves. The LGBTQ+ selection was excellent and very visible, not tucked in a corner, which immediately made the space feel welcoming and intentional. The vibe overall is just really pleasant and warm, you can tell it's a place that actually loves books and the people who love books. I only bought two little pens and a sewing pattern, and I'm not even sure what the subtotal was. I assumed it was 75c with tax, so just in case I pulled out two dollars. The lady told me "I need 4 cents." I thought she meant the total was $1.04, so I told her "Oh I don't have coins, I'll pay with card so you don't have to make change." She gave me a pointed look and said, "...then I'll have to charge you an extra 50c" I was super confused, but that was fine. I thought it over a little, and then she told me, "Your total is only 96c" Totally fine, I gave her one dollar and told her to keep the change. Usually... you tell the customer their total and they can figure out what to give you. Not a weird vague comment. She's not mean, she helped me find a nearby bathroom, and she told another customer she's worked at a paint store before, so I think she's just... odd. I think staff needs a little more consistent training, it was somewhat uncomfortable.
