Lovepreet was flexible in giving us the time we needed to make our song selections and was available for connecting when we had questions. On our wedding day, Lovepreet was professional and flawless in his delivery. He added a ton of fun and charm throughout the day and set a good vibe for the crowd. He was well calibrated with our schedule and ensured he was prepared for anything. He was accommodating to schedule tweaks and ensured the day ran smoothly. Unfortunately, for my own events I was very very disappointed. Leading up to the event, he seemed decently involved and had a lot of experience to offer. I personally put a lot of time into answering any questions and filling out the app for his team to use. On our final call, it seemed to me things were on track and his team was attentive. Then things took a turn. On the first event, the DJ was on his phone most of the time and needed to be redirected frequently. The entrance song he played was incorrect, which the team later ascribed to their app making an error, which regardless, did upset the moment. Otherwise, I think the DJ did fine in incorporating the music I had entered into the app and trying to read the room, and he was able to adapt to friends and myself making requests. DJ Love himself was the DJ for the wedding day. Initially, he had personally checked in with me to clarify the previous night's mistakes, which I appreciated. But overall, the music that night was lackluster, with subpar transitions, no apparent read of the room, and overall I got the impression he wasn't really present. And I can understand, to him and his team this is just another wedding, but for us, it is a once in a lifetime event and we would have wanted some more care and attention to the event. I didn't even really feel like he considered the type of music I had put into the app. During our meetings prior to the event, I had stressed wanting things such as the photobooth and dessert tables to be announced, but day of, for whatever reason I had to send a friend to go remind him of such. It was annoying feeling like I had to be micromanaging while trying to enjoy my wedding. After the wedding, I had guests tell me they were not even able to hear most of his announcements (I'm not sure if this is due to the sound system being inadequate for the venue). This is another thing I had asked DJ Love about repeatedly in our meetings prior, that it was important to me the sound system be good quality and adequate for the size of our venue. Overall, this is the one regret I have from my wedding weekend.

He is all nice in consultation, but as soon as full payments are made he goes scarce. On wedding day he doesn't show up at all but sends some random staff we haven't met at all. Our Ceremony started at 1 PM and the staff were in a hurry going home at 3 PM while we had booked till 5 PM. They kept insisting they have another booking to go to, while Raja assured this would be his only booking for the day. Even 2 Months after the wedding and we were still waiting for our pictures. He just kept ignoring our emails, calls and texts. Finally when he picks up the call he argues with arrogance like we are asking him a favor. He falsely claims that he has already sent all the pictures, while he didn't send any. After a lot of struggle when we got hold of videos, we were extremely disappointed with the horrible quality of videos. We sent over several songs to be included in our highlights and wedding videos. None of the songs were added in videos. No efforts were put in shooting videos. We could have better off just putting a camera on Tripod and it would have been captured much better. They didn't even bother to give a mic to the Priest for wedding audio. I believe these all were outsourced and he didn't even bother to glance over before sending it over.   Key moments were missing from the wedding pictures. He didn't even bother to convert key moments like pictures with family. You would be better off handing over a camera to one of your wedding guests than hiring Raja.  I would have given it a 0 Star if I could.

I was classically trained growing up but in recent years have been craving to learn jazz piano, especially wanting to improvise. It felt like a far-off dream, but through my few lessons with Devin I have been pleasantly surprised at my own ability, which he has helped me unlock. He truly is so knowledgable and delivers that knowledge skillfully -- as in, he doesn't overload you with irrelevant information, and only relays what is relevant to the current subject we are working on. Devine is encouraging but does not give empty praise -- he is very transparent with his feedback and this feels very effective. He keeps me super engaged -- there is a great balance of theory and explanation / allowing me to apply the theory through playing and answering questions on the spot. There have been moments, especially at the beginning, when I felt intimidated and nervous to improvise on the spot (as this is something I'd never really done before). Devin was understanding of these emotions and created a safe space for me to go out of my comfort zone. These moments of being challenged are super invaluable to me and his method of doing so really suits me. The lessons are paced well for me and feel very tailored to my needs. Devin always prioritizes my questions for each lesson, and based on those, creates a lesson plan on the spot to address them all. I really enjoy the fact that I can ask super specific questions and we can go on tangents about music theory and history. Speaking of music history, I also appreciate that Devin is so acknowledging of the fact that we are playing in the realm of Western music, which is only a small fraction of all the musical cultures that exist. As a person of color, this foundation of thinking is really important to me. I searched for a long time to find an in-person teacher because that was what I was used to, and I believed it would work best for me. However, I realized that the online lessons work perfectly well and I can't see any downsides of them. I think this is partially because I have enough background in technique, so I don't need him to be adjusting my hands / seeing my fingering and all the other physical stuff associated with piano. This being said, perhaps if you are a complete beginner, try to start with in-person lessons with Devin to make sure you have all the basic techniques locked in as this will affect your playing later on. I am used to more structure and rigidity -- my classical lessons always centered around learning a piece and playing it during lessons, with very clear homework. So it took some time to get used to the more flexible and free-form nature of learning jazz piano (and perhaps it is also his particular teaching style). I think it has been an excellent practice for me in self-discipline. However, if you benefit a lot from extreme structure, you can always ask Devin to provide that. I am personally enjoying the challenge of improvisation as my homework! Devin has offered me many tools and frameworks for thinking about piano and improvisation, all of which have made piano feel way more approachable and inviting than it used to. I also marvel at his ability to be so enthusiastic, engaged and creative for each and every lesson. I've had many music teachers in my life and he is one of the best!

Did a three-mic setup for the guitar - and it sounds INCREDIBLE. Highly recommend for recording anything from simple folky acoustic all the way up to full band and everywhere in between. This place is straight up legit and captured my music in a way I'm not sure other studios could have. Again highly recommend working with Danny if you can. I've been producing on Ableton for a few years, and I was specifically looking to work with someone in studio to learn and improve my mixes in general. I spent a few hours with Chris in his Oakland studio and learned so much during that time. It was one of the most informative sessions I've had since I started making music! Chris shared numerous different techniques and workflow tips with me while making suggestions and helping refine my track. It's clear that he's an expert in Ableton, but is also generous in sharing his knowledge. After our in-person session, we collaborated for another week or so via phone/e-mail through the mastering process. Throughout this process, he was thorough, patient, and gave invaluable feedback and recommendations - all while communicating effectively. Something I really appreciate about working with Chris is that he makes suggestions and gives honest feedback, but also makes sure that he respects the original vision for what the track should sound like. Mark did an amazing job with exactly the AV technical equipment and expertise we needed for a large…read morescale watch party. His team delivered with precision and far exceeded our expectations with both a large LED screen and several sets of speakers. Both the sound and visual were exactly what we were looking for. He came ahead of the event for a walk through and evaluated what would work best. Seeing the space, he recommended something that made more sense than what we had originally asked for. The sound was synced perfectly with no delay, even for those seated far from the screen. In fact, no matter where you were physically in the large space the sound was the same--unlike other concerts I've been too where the speakers either blow you away or aren't loud enough depending on where you are. It was loud enough to be immersive without being overpowering. I am in awe of how he did it! He was prepared with all the necessary cords and adapters to have a hard internet connection with WiFi as backup so there was no risk of glitches. But after seeing Matter Video's and chatting with Dan, we completely changed our minds, and we are so glad we did. Working with Dan was a joy, and he was highly professional and very experienced.
