This place is a little hole in the wall, hard to find unless someone tells you about it. A Sri Lankan friend always brought me spicy noodles with crispy Fried chicken in it and was craving them for the longest time, but wasn't willing to sit on the 401 all day to make the journey to Scarborough, so, when I found out there was a sri-lanken place near my work I had to try it. The noodle dish is delicious! Very similar to the Scarborough resto, and only 7$ tax in! The wraps are very good as well, lots of filling and huge, 5$! Finally a SRI LANKAN place! It's def a small hole in the wall place but don't let it fool you.. the Sri Lankan food is authentic and delicious. We got there around 1 and more than half of the "short eats" (appetizers) were already gone. The veggie rolls are great, I recommended getting the large Urdu Vada if you want vada because the smaller ones tend to soak up more oil. Chutnies are extra $. I really came for the kothu roti, kothu in Tamilian means chopped. It's basically chopped up roti fried with curry and vegetables. It's a Sri Lankan staple, if you haven't had it, you are missing out. I got the mild, mom got spicy, and dad got the extra spicy (I get like the 3 bears from the Goldilocks take) and I'm glad I got mild because that was baseline spicy. The portions were large as well, you will leave with left overs. This place isn't the most aesthetically pleasing but... it's always packed and you won't leave hungry. Cheers! read more

I was in Brampton craving Kothu Roti (usually buy from Markham). I just happened to be in the area of this restaurant, and was definitely not disappointed. I ordered their Chicken Kothu Roti. AMAZING! Was not oily, had all the right flavours I know Sri Lankan food to have, chicken was tender. Spicy, but anyone can handle this level of spice. I can't wait to return here. Personally was impressed with the customer service. They were very friendly and accommodating. The lady that helped me asked if I had any dietary restrictions so that left a good impression in my mind. Appreciated the thoughtfulness (don't have any dietary restrictions), but at least you know that they've got you in mind. VERY GOOD prices. read more

Def an excellent Sri Lankan restaurant. Fantastic biryanis and kottu roti. (Traditional Sri Lankan food a mix of roti, veggies, spices, meats). The mutton biryani was actually quite good. I was a little surprised. Very busy. Try an order in. Took off a star cuz they barely ever pick up the phone and the service is 3/5. Good but not excellent. Also great little appetizers. The sambhar is actually better than most South Indian restaurants around. read more

1st time came here because the lineup wasn't so long on christmas time so decide to give it a try. when I get inside, I saw some special menu list for today and decide to try lamprais (banana leaf mixed dish rice) and to be honest I was confuse with the question of white rice/brown rice, chicken or lamb, spicy or not spicy etc.. I also ordered lamb biryani (I have waited couple months to finally try this place so I did ordered a bit too much) , some vadai, mutton roll, and another mutton/vege bigger roll. it took 20min something for my order to be ready but when I arrive at home, it was humongous portion. lamprais itself can feed 3-4people for $14. lamb/mutton biryani also big portion can feed 2 hungry men. all the food was delicious and spicy which I like. they are not stingy with the sauce and makes me want more and more. I have been coming back every other week just because I want to try another dish. so far the best is lamprais coz I got to try some of the chef specialty. love their lamb/mutton curry too. phone order and pick up is not really fast. sometimes they prepare before we arrive and other time they wait until we arrive to pack it, but it was easier than line up for 15-30min just to get inside. weird thing is this place is a takeout place (nowhere to sit based on the space) but when paying with card, it ask for tips buying 40 dollars and gave tips 15%? I didn't get any extra like water or utensils and I feel weird have to pay tips on takeout. other than that, the food are excellent. read more

On occasion we drive to Toronto to visit friends and family. Its a two hr trip one way. On recommendation of a friend, we ordered 100 white string hoppers very specifically, on our return journey. On arrival at home, all 100 strings were RED. Second instance, we ordered a chicken rice and curry, and a Masala Dosa. Made the order taker REPEAT the order back to us to make sure about accuracy. Ended up at the hotel where we were staying for the evening with vegetable rice and curry, and 5 regular Dosa. What the heck is wrong with you guys? read more

Not bad. Prices and menu hard to follow as they were flashing on flat-screen TVs instead of on paper. Ordered the chicken kothu roti and the mutton curry which came with 3 veg curries and a massive portion of plain rice. Would have liked a little more of the veg curries and less rice. All was quite spicy. $7 each dish. Had passed inspection in Jan (google reviews had mentioned possible problems with kitchen cleanliness triggering an inspection). Service was OK, though they were busy enough that they forgot a wrap in the microwave and the foil paper it was wrapped in caught fire! read more

One word. Cockroaches! Staff are incompetent. The man at the shopfront is an absolute idiot. Cannot manage to do one thing at a time and behaves like a chicken with his head cut off.
