Robin has been fantastic to work with!…read more By choice I've only met with Robin via Tele-health, so I can't speak to the office experience... With that said I have only positive things to say about my experience with her. I've worked with Robin for several months regarding general mental health relating to physical medical issues and related trauma which I've been trying to work through. I found her to be professional, kind / empathetic, highly intelligent, intuitive, and supportive. I have no issue recommending her to friends / family, which is something I can't say about most providers I have worked with in the past; take that for what it's worth.

Yelp reviews are generally easy to write. You like something or you dislike something and... you…read moregive your reasons. When I started to write something (I won't call it a review) for Josefa, I wasn't ready. I wanted what I wrote to mean something and to reflect how I feel about the affect she's had on my life. So, I'll take a shot now, but I'm still not sure I can do her justice. Josefa is a truly gifted person. She not only had an almost immediate understanding of the person I was, but also a tremendous insight into 'why I was' and how I could be the person I wanted to be. It's interesting because I had visited a counselor on and off over many years, whom I thought was good. However, in just two coaching sessions with Josefa, I discovered things about myself that I had neither thought of nor discussed, previously. Over the course of working with Josefa for a few months, she helped me to better understand myself, which led to quite a change in the way I feel about myself and how I interact with the world around me. From session to session, she always was on top of what we had previously discussed and was familiar with issues that were currently affecting my life. And, she was always on point with suggestions on how to best handle situations. Furthermore, the suggestions were ones that I could carry forward with me to future issues. Does everything work out for me now exactly like I want it to... of course not. But, I can certainly handle things much better now than I previously could. It may sound like I was a basket-case prior to working with Josefa. I don't think that's the 'case', but I certainly had issues. I imagine I still do. But, now I have much more of an inner calm about myself and confidence in myself that I never had previously. Thank you, Josefa. You have made a tremendous difference in my life.

Megan is fabulous at what she does. I don't know how she works with kids and parents all day long…read moreand maintains her sanity and composure, but she does. She has been working with my family for quite some time and the impact she has had is tremendous. To look back just a year and see how far we have come is astonishing. Not only does she work beautifully with my kids but she helps me be a better mom. Having adopted two kiddos with no prior parenting experience, I naturally have a lot of questions and often times feel clunky or unsure. Megan never hesitates to encourage me but also to help me bridge the gaps. I remember one time we were talking with Megan about something I was trying to explain to my son. He and I were on totally different pages no matter what I did. So, she basically had the conversation for me and did it on his comprehension level. I didn't feel foolish or stupid but rather enlightened. The light bulb went on and I was so grateful to have not only solved a parenting challenge but also learned how to manage similar situations and my son learned that moms need help too sometimes. Megan is worth every dollar we have paid her. I can't image where we would be without her. Because of our unique set of circumstances, it was imperative that we find someone who had experience and strong understanding of the adoption process from all sides. Well, she definitely understood which made her guiding us so much easier. I could go on and on but I won't. If you need someone to work with your kids or even you as a parent, Megan will make a huge difference!

She was not a mentee of his, Kim made a mistake because another psychiatrist has the same last name. Kim never came clean on that. Kim told me she was talking about my previous doctor's patients and the medications they are prescribed with others. Not sure if she gave patients names to others but I wouldn't take my chances. I have very very serious concerns when it comes to HIPPA violations and Kim. Again, very serious concerns regarding this. When seeing a psychiatrist I expect that I can trust them without having to tell them not to talk to others about my medical history, it is the law that she keeps her mouth shut about the her patients unless a judge orders her to open it. In multiple appointments she suggested using SSRI's specifically even when I told her that made me severely depressed, when it comes to meds she is operating way above her pay grade. DO NOT TRUST HER! The Law: Doctors must keep your health facts secret. They cannot share names, drugs, or care details with anyone else without your permission

Worst experience ever! Scheduled an appointment in January…read more2018, the first available is June 2018. Wait 6 months for an appointment, all while son is struggling in school, only to find out the wrong appointment type was booked. When I booked the appointment I told them my son's school recommended he have a full evaluation. I let them know that one of my son's teachers had her own son evaluated there and it was helpful and thought it would be helpful for my son. I explained he was struggling with memorization and focus. As I later found it, it was MY responsibility to know every type of appointment they offer to verify what I was scheduling. Fast forward to our appointment...They collected my $560 cash at the window right when I checked in for the appointment, before I even saw Ms. Kimberly or I knew that what I expected for the appointment wasn't was what we were getting. Finished the appointment and didn't want to raise my concerns in front of my son. Got in the car, asked my son about the "testing" he did out of the room from me, and realized, this wasn't at all what our appointment was supposed to be. Spoke to some family and a few friends who had prior experience with Melmed and realized 100% we did NOT get the evaluation my son needed and I paid $560 for a Psychiatrist to give him a script for Abilify?!?!?! What just happened here? I quickly became very sick to my stomach... Called the next day to discuss the matter and ask for a new CORRECT appointment and instead Kimberly calls me to blame me for the appointment being booked wrong. The office staff making these appointments is very uneducated on what are the right questions to ask a parent to determine what kind of appointment is needed. Without the proper information on their end they can't properly schedule. On the other hand, the office staff making appointments takes it upon themselves to determine what type of appointment your child she have and don't properly communicate to make sure this matches the parent/patients expectations. I spoke with Brenda who told me she would consult with the Executive Director, Michelle. That evening, neither the ED or Brenda called me back, instead Kimberly, who saw us, called me and basically did a manipulative song and dance to tell me it was my fault the appointment was booked incorrectly. She was unprofessional and condescending toward me and did everything she could do to justify what she did was right. She blamed me for not speaking up during the meeting even after explaining I did not feel comfortable doing so in front of my son. After waiting 6 months for this appointment, I am so angry and frustrated that I basically have to start over because Melmed does not want to admit they made a mistake and correct the problem. I am sad for my son, who is the real victim here in not getting the proper evaluation he really needs so that school is no longer a stressful struggle for him. Here we are 8 months after I made the appointment for my son, and he has ZERO help! Just throw some medication at him and tell him he is depressed! Unreal!! We wonder why depression meds are at an all time high use, they are used as an excuse when medical professionals don't want to do hard work in evaluating a child! It's disgusting! Don't get me started with the office staff. Called me 5 times to confirm the appointment, but when you call them back to confirm, they never answer. They just keep calling you and threatening to cancel your appointment if you don't confirm. Kind of hard to confirm when you don't pick up your phones. I don't recommend this place at all! Seems based on other reviews, that I should have read prior to my appointment, others are experience similar problems. I will be pursing this in as many avenues as it takes on behalf of my son! This is unacceptable! I will be filing a malpractice claim!

From scheduling the appointment, to post-visit follow up everyone we interact with is extremely professional, pleasant and very helpful. I also appreciate the efficient workflow. Their patient portal is very useful and easy to use. Also, I love the fact that I don't need to fill out a million form every time I come to the office. It is all on the portal. Most important, I NEVER had to wait more than 5 minutes on a scheduled appointment. Finally, most impressive, the doctors and PA's NEVER rush the appointments. UPDATE. I've received many messages on my experience and if I ever found a solution to my problems…read more Okay first and foremost if you read the response of the owner you can understand that just by that response alone people asking for prices is a completely valid and normal thing to do. Comparing prices for doctors, mechanics, home remodeling companies is COMPLETELY NORMAL TO DO. ESPECIALLY WHEN PAYING OUT OF POCKET. The simple fact that when asking what the prices are and instead of responding with "we cannot provide a rate until after we complete a free consultation" he decided to double down in his reply and justify his reasons for that response. Any professional should NEVER have an issue with answering basic questions. This owners response to my review alone shows me no professionalism, no compassion but a need to feel justified in his response to a simple billing question. OKAY NOW FOR THE SOLUTION. (I have tried multiple different things from medication, hypnosis, talk therapy, psychiatrist, breathing techniques, homeopathic medicine.) the solution was seeing an actual licensed psychologist, we did EMDR & CBT which is what helped me the most. After six sessions, I can honestly say that I started to see a drastic change. After a year, I was bulletproof. I have seen counselors in the past, but an actual licensed psychologist is something different and I now know that. This psychologist has taught me so many skills and tools. That after years of being out of therapy, I am still positively progressing by myself, on my own because of every tool I was taught. It's a lot like being in school, where you learn the fundamentals and the tools you need to achieve success in whatever aspect. Because everything is subjective to each individual and each individual might be going through something different it is that more personal and catered to you of course. Stop looking for a quick fix like I was when I reached out to the place. Do the work, in the end it is worth it and you will thank yourself for it. Happy healing!
