This is a clinic that specializes in ADHD and no other psychiatric condition. If you are an adult at any age, please read this. They refuse to treat or even test anyone older than 55 years, even though all other psychiatrists in Phoenix who don't focus on only ADHD. The test for ADHD is not different at any age. They base their claim of not having the skills to treat older people using outdated studies. The skills required to monitor for side effects are simple, require few skills and are as follows: Routine blood pressure checks and occasional kidney function recommended when increasing the dose of the medication. If the risk for side effects is insignificantly different at any age, do they have the skills to treat younger people when they have the same reaction or complications from the medication? Why don't they accept middle aged to older patients who don't want to take stimulants or just want to take the test? What do they do when a patient of long standing turns 55? Are these patients aware that they may be sent somewhere else, even if they are healthy and stable? If you know of anyone 55+currently being treated at this clinic, was referred somewhere else after they turned 55, or was denied treatment at any age due to complications or being at higher risk, please message me. In conclusion, if it is obvious they do have the skills to treat and monitor patients of all ages, why are they practicing ageism? Beware of specialists with wonderful bedside manners but are known to screen patients based on statistics and chronological rather than biological age, or who may develop mild, easily treatable complications. read more

Update: KEGE is now not allowing to schedule appointments with them. Makes me feel like they are retaliating against me. So I'm moving on. Again the choice is yours and the service may start off great. After 3 years this is my experience. ----- I care about this place and want to see it succeed, but the quality of service has declined significantly. Several ongoing issues can no longer be ignored: 1. Consistently Late Appointments - Visits rarely start on time. If you have a busy schedule, expect to wait 1-2 extra hours. 2. Lack of Privacy - Despite repeatedly requesting private sessions via email, I'm still asked during appointments if other providers can join, which feels awkward and dismissive. 3. Medication Refill Issues - Refills have been mishandled, including misinterpreting my specific comments about avoiding antidepressants. Now I'm being forced to book a new appointment for a refill that should've been handled previously. 4. Unproductive Appointments - Serious concerns like anxiety have been met with surface-level advice like "you need to breathe," which feels dismissive and unhelpful. 5. Lack of Accountability - Mistakes are often blamed on the patient rather than acknowledged or apologized for. I've been patient for years, but it feels like their growth has come at the expense of client care. If these issues aren't addressed, I'll need to seek care elsewhere. -------- I'm impressed with this place. I have seen over 100 all together Doctors, Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners in my life time and none fully understood ADHD. Sadly most dismiss it. KEGE understands ADHD. It's been a hard road to discover which medications work best; KEGE helped me understand and discover what has been so far the best medication that truly helped and make a difference. Their staff goes out of their way to assist or point in the right direction. I had CVS pharmacy all my life but was introduced to a pharmacy that caters to the mental health community and they are nothing short of amazing; focusing on customer service and exceeds expectations. To the staff, Phillip and Patty, provide much insights to life with ADHD and now I have a wealth of supporting knowledge. Again, I have seen what seems to be countless providers, each with their own opinions on how to address ADHD but never experienced the down to earth, genuine care from a provider such as Keith. I have struggled with anxiety and depression my entire life. I've heard since I was young, I probably have ADHD, but no one took it seriously. Words cannot adequately describe how incredibly thankful I am that I found KEGE. It has been a very daunting task to open up about my struggles, and to seek answers and treatment. Keith and his staff have been so incredibly kind and helpful on my journey to understand myself, and how to improve my life for the better. Appointment setting was a breeze, online forms are my best friend. From the get-go, Kylee was so helpful, making sure I filled out my intake forms on time, which admittedly I almost missed doing. My evaluation appointment was everything I hoped and needed it to be. Very conversational and an open discussion. Not just answering a questionnaire with a scale without any added context. Keith is extremely welcoming and asks the right clarifying questions to really understand. What I appreciate most, is his transparency and explaining why and how ADHD brains are different, which is so incredibly important to me. I got friendly in-person as well as telehealth service. In one meeting I was able to get medicated, and on the follow-up I got a more effective dosage! I had a highly stigmatized health condition which I have recovered from and have a long history involving multiple medications and comorbid conditions. I'd booked an appointment online. The provider was ill and Philip had to reschedule my appointment. We talked on the phone for about a hour and discussed who I am and what I'm looking for and what my concerns were. The conversation was very enjoyable. I was assured that I would be seen with the health conditions that I have and that I should share a medication spreadsheet that people have found overwhelming or used to judge me unfairly in the past. We discussed how the stigma has negatively affected me and how I was concerned that I wouldn't be seen or that I should not share so much. I left the conversation full of hope, trust, and optimism that I had found someone who could help me perform more optimally and saw me as a person. I'm a consultant, parent, multiple home owner, airbnb host, wife - many many things. Most people with the highly stigmatized conditions I had and have don't have a life as I do. I don't fit the mold at all. I made a therapy appointment with someone in the same office and settled in to wait for my appointment. I got a call yesterday saying that my appointment was cancelled and that I was being refunded, and when I called and spoke to Patty she told me that prior to my appointment being accepted they had made the decision to not accept any new patients and my appointment was cancelled and would not be rescheduled. This was obviously a lie - the website is taking payments for new patient appointments, the IVR messaging says they are seeing patients, Philip had called and confirmed and then rescheduled my appointment. When I asked for Philip she smugly told me he was on vacation. The patient portal was having issues so the only information she had to base her sudden decision on was the med spreadsheet that I'd talked to Philip about and sent him, a medical journal article, and whatever notes he took. With him being out of the office there would have been nothing else to base a judgement on. I hadn't been able to do my portal yet so they didn't have any other information. I wasn't planning on sharing the huge overwhelming amount I had and keep thinking that if I had just never mentioned that at one point I had that condition or had otherwise left the past the past I would still have a doctors appointment with someone really good at adhd meds. The sudden whiplash of 'this is great' to 'nope!' has been stressful and disappointing. I think from a practice perspective it's a fail at client expectation management; there's a schism within the practice about who does and does not get treated, either in guidelines or in communication; or in terms of makes decisions. If for some reason you decide not to treat me, don't wait over a week to tell me. I'd cancelled appointments I had as backups with other people and had to start the search and waits over. The part I find frustrating is being seen as the health condition and the history, instead of as a human and a person. It was disorienting to go from a clinical experience with someone who took the time to see me and understand that I am in no way like anyone else and that I really have myself together to being treated like dog poop by someone in the same practice (being NOT seen, disregarded, etc.) There was no reason they couldn't honor the appointment other than her deciding that I am not someone they want to treat because I had a stigmatized condition and a complicated history. Hello I am beyond disappointed and upset with your integrity and honesty about your services!  I spoke to you prior to our appointment telling you all the hoops we have gone through with different psychiatrists, occupational therapy, melmed center, etc.  I told you how important it was for us to find behavioral therapy and skills through services to aide us in helping our son.  You advised that you had great connections and would guide us in the right direction to get these services.  We have been through years of people only taking money out of our pockets and not helping our child.  It is so disheartening that you are one of these people also.  We already had our son on vyvanse 30mg prescribed by his pediatrician.  This does not cost us out of pocket near what it does with you or any other person that does not accept insurance.  It sickens me that we as parents are fighting every day to help our child be the best he can be and are involved in every detail of his life.  The only thing anyone has offered is medication or out of pocket occupational therapy.  I am ok now with him taking vyvanse as it really seems to help him but we don't need to pay someone $550 to prescribe this.  Your integrity and sensitivity is so upsetting to me!!!  I specified to you that we have dealt with this in the past and you insured me that you had other options such as behavioral therapy.  Yet again we are being slapped in the face and taken for more money when all we want is the best for our child!!!  You spent 45 minutes of our appointment talking about other clients and yourself and about 5-10 minutes even speaking with our son.  I am certainly not going to pay you more money just for a prescription refill and will make an appointment with his pediatrician.  So sad to want the best for your kiddo and it seems so many people are in it for themselves.  We got nothing out of our appointment with you as we have already done years of research, reading, IEPs, etc.  we are educated and knowledgeable and nothing you told us was new.  Waste of our time and money and we will just go back to our pediatrician.  You have not followed up or reached out at all since our appointment and now all you want is for me to pay you $200 to do a refill.  I don't feel any compassion or concern.  Our pediatrician called me 2 times after the last Med increase and I was coming to you for other options.  Now our son will have to struggle until we get in to the pediatrician as he is out of meds. read more

I met Keith while taking my 5 year old daughter to get some help because she was failing school with the possibility of being kicked out of school if we didn't do something. She couldn't focus and teachers were loosing patience. We went to Keith to see what we could do to help my daughter have a more successful school experience. We went to Keith over a year ago, he educated me and diagnosed my daughter with ADHD and not only has her school experience completely changed for the absolute best (now an honor roll student) but her whole quality of life has changed. So as her mother this 1. was one of the hardest decisions for me to make, considering I am putting my 6 year old on medication but literally the day I started her on the medication I knew then that I made the right choice because even my 6 year old noticed a huge difference and felt so much better about herself and now loves that she has her "focus pill". 2. It has made me evaluate my own person. So I made the chose to finally get myself some help as well, I have now started seeing Keith for my own personal struggles, He truly took dedicated time and asked all the questions to truly understand my daily struggles and then once diagnosing me with ADHD as well, he explained in detail why and how I can help myself and better my everyday life. He treats you as if you are a family member to him, he takes great pride in how he treats each and everyone he evaluates. I am so incredibly thankful for him and how he has enhanced mine and my daughter life. In fact, some of my other loved ones have seen such a difference in our lives that now I have referred them to Keith as well. They too have had a great experience. I highly recommend him, your experience will surely be pleasant and you will walk out of his office not feeling like you just saw a doctor but you sat down and had a talk with a close friend, knowing he was not there to judge you but to simply understand you and finally help you be able to see some light and find some peace in your life. Keith is committed and exceptional at helping those with ADHD. I have never met an individual that is more passionate, knowledgeable, and involved than Keith. He took the time to understand our situation, and reviewed the history in depth of the challenges faced. He is not your typical in and out provider, he actually spent a great deal of time understanding the previous medication, treatments, timelines, environmental conditions, functioning, and barriers so he could develop a treatment plan that would help us most. In addition, he actually took the time to explain and help us better understand ADHD and the various ways it can be treated as well as what that looks like.
