Megan is fabulous at what she does. I don't know how she works with kids and parents all day long…read moreand maintains her sanity and composure, but she does. She has been working with my family for quite some time and the impact she has had is tremendous. To look back just a year and see how far we have come is astonishing. Not only does she work beautifully with my kids but she helps me be a better mom. Having adopted two kiddos with no prior parenting experience, I naturally have a lot of questions and often times feel clunky or unsure. Megan never hesitates to encourage me but also to help me bridge the gaps. I remember one time we were talking with Megan about something I was trying to explain to my son. He and I were on totally different pages no matter what I did. So, she basically had the conversation for me and did it on his comprehension level. I didn't feel foolish or stupid but rather enlightened. The light bulb went on and I was so grateful to have not only solved a parenting challenge but also learned how to manage similar situations and my son learned that moms need help too sometimes. Megan is worth every dollar we have paid her. I can't image where we would be without her. Because of our unique set of circumstances, it was imperative that we find someone who had experience and strong understanding of the adoption process from all sides. Well, she definitely understood which made her guiding us so much easier. I could go on and on but I won't. If you need someone to work with your kids or even you as a parent, Megan will make a huge difference!

Worst experience ever! Scheduled an appointment in January…read more2018, the first available is June 2018. Wait 6 months for an appointment, all while son is struggling in school, only to find out the wrong appointment type was booked. When I booked the appointment I told them my son's school recommended he have a full evaluation. I let them know that one of my son's teachers had her own son evaluated there and it was helpful and thought it would be helpful for my son. I explained he was struggling with memorization and focus. As I later found it, it was MY responsibility to know every type of appointment they offer to verify what I was scheduling. Fast forward to our appointment...They collected my $560 cash at the window right when I checked in for the appointment, before I even saw Ms. Kimberly or I knew that what I expected for the appointment wasn't was what we were getting. Finished the appointment and didn't want to raise my concerns in front of my son. Got in the car, asked my son about the "testing" he did out of the room from me, and realized, this wasn't at all what our appointment was supposed to be. Spoke to some family and a few friends who had prior experience with Melmed and realized 100% we did NOT get the evaluation my son needed and I paid $560 for a Psychiatrist to give him a script for Abilify?!?!?! What just happened here? I quickly became very sick to my stomach... Called the next day to discuss the matter and ask for a new CORRECT appointment and instead Kimberly calls me to blame me for the appointment being booked wrong. The office staff making these appointments is very uneducated on what are the right questions to ask a parent to determine what kind of appointment is needed. Without the proper information on their end they can't properly schedule. On the other hand, the office staff making appointments takes it upon themselves to determine what type of appointment your child she have and don't properly communicate to make sure this matches the parent/patients expectations. I spoke with Brenda who told me she would consult with the Executive Director, Michelle. That evening, neither the ED or Brenda called me back, instead Kimberly, who saw us, called me and basically did a manipulative song and dance to tell me it was my fault the appointment was booked incorrectly. She was unprofessional and condescending toward me and did everything she could do to justify what she did was right. She blamed me for not speaking up during the meeting even after explaining I did not feel comfortable doing so in front of my son. After waiting 6 months for this appointment, I am so angry and frustrated that I basically have to start over because Melmed does not want to admit they made a mistake and correct the problem. I am sad for my son, who is the real victim here in not getting the proper evaluation he really needs so that school is no longer a stressful struggle for him. Here we are 8 months after I made the appointment for my son, and he has ZERO help! Just throw some medication at him and tell him he is depressed! Unreal!! We wonder why depression meds are at an all time high use, they are used as an excuse when medical professionals don't want to do hard work in evaluating a child! It's disgusting! Don't get me started with the office staff. Called me 5 times to confirm the appointment, but when you call them back to confirm, they never answer. They just keep calling you and threatening to cancel your appointment if you don't confirm. Kind of hard to confirm when you don't pick up your phones. I don't recommend this place at all! Seems based on other reviews, that I should have read prior to my appointment, others are experience similar problems. I will be pursing this in as many avenues as it takes on behalf of my son! This is unacceptable! I will be filing a malpractice claim!

Let me start by saying it has taken me months to determine if I wanted to write a review. Each…read moreperson's expectations and experience is their own and I would never want to discourage someone from seeking health or finding a way to work through issues. I believe Jeff is an excellent resource for helping an individual through a tough time in their life or one specific event of trauma as he does teach ways to evaluate the way the mind is focusing. In addition, he is just so dedicated and honest. I genuinely liked him as a person. That being said I would not suggest him for someone who has extreme PTSD or serious depression as he seemed to dismiss proven scientific methods of treating PTSD such as EMDR. I didn't feel he asked enough questions about my mental state or spent anytime actually getting to know me. He expected me to open up and tell where I am. For any trauma victim you say the same things over on repeat and typically are pretty distrustful. I didn't find him to be an active listener just surveyed my body language. For me I knew within 10 mins of working with he wasn't going to be able to help me. But his enthusiasm, energy, and commitment to helping me was why I stayed and participated in the session. He is true to his word if you didn't have a successful session there is no payment but I felt so guilty for his dedication that I made the decision to pay for the session. In addition, I was literally tired of him trying to help me and just gave in so we could leave.

After receiving multiple messages from them asking if I was going to use their services I requested…read morethe pricing information and mentioned I am contacting multiple hypnotist to compare pricing, customer service, and overall impression on each individual. This was the response. It very much reflects all they care about is money by stating they don't compete on price and by me asking that question somehow shows them that we are not a good fit. Sad & disappointing when you genuinely need help with something that affects mental health and if you are already skeptical on if Hypnotist try to just sell you on things, responses like this emphasize those feelings. But "it's all good". I will keep looking & have hope I will cure my anxiety (:
