I hate to blast a small business but I had to write a review considering the amount of money I spent here. I spent over $150 on a gel extension manicure here not so long ago and already one of the nails popped off, and a few others are coming loose. I'm unemployed, and currently interviewing for jobs-now I have to show up to interviews missing a nail, which makes me look messy and leaves a bad impression on employers. I initially chose this salon because of the peaceful atmosphere and because the more popular LA nail salons' hectic environments stress me out, but it looks like I'm back on the hunt for a new nail salon again. It's a shame because the staff are very kind, and respectful. If you are the owner and you are reading this, please use stronger glues and adhere your gel extensions better, otherwise you will keep losing business from those that want to support you. read more

Wish I could give this place 10 stars! They had so many colors and choices for gel manicure, and most of all, it is affordable! If you come Monday- Thursday, there's a "good deal" discount so the gel nails I got (shown in the picture attached) came out to be only $35!! I think it's a bit more if you come on Fridays/weekends, but still less expensive than other nail salons in the area. Also, the technician was so friendly and skilled. I was around that area for a few hours and decided to try it out. First time there and the place is very clean and pretty. Their were three ladies working there and they were very sweet and nice. They provided great services and that what my 4 stars is for. I regularly do my nails every 2-3 weeks in my area which is Long Beach/ Bixby Knolls. I always get gel pedicure and gel extensions. Usually it's around $85-130 including tip. My nails are cute but not worth the price. For what I paid ($185 )expected it to be on my top best nails and it's not. I went off by a photo they had on there page and it was cute but there are some problems with two of the nails. I inform the very nice lady about them but she said it was air bubble and it would be ok. If they fell off within 6 days I can come back for a fix. I'm not from LA and it's takes about 45 minutes from where I live so that sound nice but not realistic for me. Photos below! There were only two ladies working there but both are so sweet. I had Julie do my pedicure and she was the sweetest lady ever! Super gentle and kind! I had Esther do my gel x extensions and they came out PERFECT! I didn't attach a picture because my cuticles are just so bad (due to my habits of picking at my cuticles) but Esther did her best to clean up my cuticles in a harmless way and did an excellent job! I went to this salon last Friday for a regular manicure and regular pedicure but boy do I regret paying 105! The end results are terrible, my nails literally starting peeling off and cracking the following day! It's upsetting to have paid that for such a crappy job, they did my nails on the chair instead of the lady waiting for me to finish and I would have sat down because it was hard to move around from side to side but as soon as she saw someone else she tried finishing faster to go over there and she didn't check her own work. I absolutely hate my nails. The color doesn't stay, the color wasn't properly painted, why charge so much for something so bad? I don't get how others have had good experiences and mines was so terrible. I'd like a full refund for such a bad experience but funny how they have a no refund no alot of stuff in the entrance but its okay I will never go back or recommend anyone to come here. This review is months overdue but I finally have the time to write it out. I stumbled upon this nail salon when I was new to LA, it was only a couple blocks away from where I lived. I was going to this place biweekly for gel shellac and pedis, spending $250+ per month here. My first couple of experiences here were good- I loved the designs that the owner was able to do. However the other employees work was rarely up to par, I would spend hours here because they would mess up and spend so much time correcting the error which is unacceptable for such expensive services in run down facility. I came here the day before my birthday and was so excited to get a cute bday mani w designs and was gonna treat myself to whatever expensive design I chose. I made an appointment the day before and told them I'd want designs. When I arrived and they started on my mani I confirmed w my nail person that this mani would include design- she confirmed YES. Finally at the end of my mani- it was time for designs. I was then informed that only the owner was skilled enough to do designs and that she didn't have time do mine because she was waiting on a client to arrive. Mind you I had called and scheduled appt w design and had my nail lady I would get DESIGNS!! I pleaded w the owner and asked her if she could do the design while she waited- she said no. My nail lady attempted at the design- messed up- and needed the owner to help correct. The owner even told HER NO. The owner then gave the ultimatum that they will remove the nail if I continued complaining (damaging) or leave it as it is messed up and I would have to pay $30+ for the messed up design. THIS WHOLE SCENARIO WENT ON FOR 20 MIN WHERE SHE WAS "WAITING" FOR A CLIENT TO ARRIVE AND SHE EASILY COULD'VE DONE THE DESIGN WHILE WAITING BUT KEPT REFUSING I actually left this place in tears- which I'm ashamed to say. I know it's just nails, but the whole experience sucked and all I wanted was a cute mani for my bday- but in the end I was out $75 and 3 hours of my time when I could've spent this time and money at a salon that actually appreciated my business. Every time I come to Think Nail its no more than a 10 minute wait, normally shorter. There is a small section in the front with a comfy couch as the waiting area. There are about 4 nail stations and maybe 5 pedicure chairs. all the techs here are amazing and attentive. I swear sometimes they create magic with my nails. I get a regular pedicure and gel manicure which is $55. You can pay via credit card, but only leave tip in cash. So be ready. They have a loyalty program and after 10 visits you get $10 off. They have a variety of options for upgrades. Think Nail is in a strip mall with a bunch of options for food an entertainment. On the weekends they have a mandatory "valet", which I think it absolutely ridiculous. Anywho, I love it here. read more

Normally you get charged extra for so many things or they do it super fast but at Think Nail every nail tech takes their time and does a quality job.
