Absolutely wonderful energy and presence, was top-tier with keeping the kiddos engaged and respectful, and was just an overall joy to listen to. The bug selection was solid! Some of their favorites were the walking stick and millipede. Norm did a wonderful job of teaching the students about insects by balancing both a verbal and hands-on approach. The amount of information he shared about each insect and his ability to keep the students interested was just right. The students loved seeing and touching the insects. After the presentation, many students wanted to find insects on our campus and count their legs! If you're looking for a great presentation, this is the one.

This is a rare Bay Area gem for kids and families, every city should have one. All the attendees were impressed with the genius of the space, organization, cleanliness, and huge outdoor area. There are multiple indoor and outdoor "zones." The building is a duplex- home, when you enter there is a craft room with multiple round tables with crafts set up, in the center is a book/play area with tons of toys and cute furniture, a side room with a free personalized photobooth (email not printed) which is where the food was set up, and two bathrooms. Outside there was another bathroom. Down the ramp was a patch of fake grass where the party set up a piñata. Next to that, toddler equipment on wood chips. In the center, a huge table for kiddos to eat. Then the back corner has a large play structure and a fun bike ride where multiple kids could ride at the same time. This said, it's important for folks to consider that the two adults provided from Twirl are not enough to supervise an entire party. So keep this in mind as you are planning your party. This wasn't an issue at all for our group as the parents were all very hands on. The party I attended was from 10:30-12:30. I was so impressed with Duponte and Bella's ability to jump in- give the kiddos tattoos, help with the cake, clean up, and transition to the afternoon party. This is the PERFECT place to host your toddler- 2nd grade birthday party!

I've been at birthday parties where you have to ask the staff the help but not here. Both Duponte and Emma were looking for opportunities to engage. Emma played with the kids and attempted to keep the group entertained with crafts. They both helped set up; Duponte even lifted heavy coolers filled with drinks out of my car (and then reloaded when the party was over). Both staff hung up banners and helped with random set up tasks that I asked to be completed before guests arrived. The morning of our party it had rained at it looked like the weather was cleaning up so both Emma and Duponte wiped down the outdoor play equipment so the kids could spend some time outside. Everyone here loves kids, and it shows. We also received lots of compliments from friends and family truly impressed with the space and the activities available. It was the best place possible to host a birthday party. Thanks to everyone at Twirl for making my son's day so special and my day so easy. We can't wait to come back!

There's so much to do, climbing, building, exploring, getting wiggles out, and even a quiet room to chill. You can tell the folks behind it really thought through everything. The vibe, the décor, even the website feel so neurodiverse-affirming. They have tech to help build community around members too. We live in Novato so the distance makes a membership tough right now, but I'm hoping we can join in the summer when school isn't in the way. I'd love to see Spirited Play Labs expand to more places as this is the future IMO (please come to Novato, I'll help!). I have literally done almost every single thing this place has to offer from open play, to preschool, OT, hosting a birthday party there and special events like the holiday party and carnival. In terms of birthday parties, it was SO easy. Literally one of the most stress free kids parties I've hosted. The staff were so so kind and super helpful. They helped with everything from setup to clean up so we could just be present and enjoy the day. The party room is super spacious with room for kids and adults. We had a pretty large group and were totally comfortable in the space. I appreciated that we could bring all our own food and decorations and the crew literally helped me setup everything. For open play there is an awesome variety of things for kids to do. I especially love the quiet room. It's great for my neurodivergent kid to have space to both jump in the bounce house and move that energy out and chill in the quiet and calm area. We're big fans and have really enjoyed all aspects of this whole place for 5 years now. Keep it up yall! You're doing great.

The school has become such a big part of our lives, I can't imagine what it would have been like without them. The teachers are just the right mix of warm and firm, enforcing rules and bringing in parents for discipline problems as needed. I've asked Mayra and Emilia both for parenting advice at different phases including timing on potty training, napping, and how to delicately handle Santa as a conversation topic. Recently when I went in for my son's fifth birthday, Emilia sat down on the playground and was bombarded with toddlers hugging her from every angle. This place is full of love. There seems always to be a special event happening, a new craft or plant coming home, and so many stories about friends and fun teachers. Felt like a bait and switch -- I went back on the website to see if there was a disclaimer about parties being only 1 hour -- there is, but it's very discreet. It should definitely be more clear so there aren't any surprises. 2. The art project takes quite literally 5 minutes (no wonder only one hour is included...). I really wish there was something else to make the party a bit more fun and engaging. Play a game? Sing? Literally anything to extend the fun.
