We have been coming to Swings and Wings for the past 4+ years and our kids love it! Easy parking, lots of zones to play in, a rock climbing wall, bounce house and super clean! I love the seating throughout for parents and variety of puzzles, trains and games. We celebrated our youngest's birthday party there and it was a DREAM as a party host. Everything was ready for us in the party room and the staff graciously helped us with set up and clean up. Kids had a great time and the parents appreciated the coffee add-on for a morning party. We love their long hours on weekends and that they open early (9am!) for toddlers who are up at dawn. Highly recommend for your next birthday party or just to keep in your playspace Rolodex.

This place was the perfect location for a 1 year old bday party! They have a pretty large private room I had around 40 guests and they provided the tables and chairs so convenient. They also have 5 different sensory rooms with all sorts of activities from rock climbing to bouncy houses and painting for the bigger kiddos. They have a kitchen play area and trains with Lego's etc. all different kinds of swings for literally ages 0-8 plus a medium sized ball pit and slide. I recommend this place ten out of ten. The staff was so helpful and they provide you with your own party assistant to help you set up decorations or just about whatever you need them to assist you with. They also help with the clean up after providing you 30 additional minutes to gather all your decorations etc. we will be back for one of there walk in play days.

What a cute little space! I found this cute gem on Instagram and dropped by a few days later. It's really perfect for toddlers and kids. I brought my 2 year old and she immediately got excited. First thing I'll note, we were able to walk in but sometimes they reach capacity. Check their IG or call ahead to make sure there is space since they don't accept reservations. The day pass was $16.50, good price in my opinion! When you first walk in the space is very bright and welcoming my daughter knew we were there to play as soon as we walked in. The woman at the front was really warm and friendly. We didn't have trampoline socks so we bought a branded pair for $3.75 (only required for kids) then signed the waiver and we were ready to go! When we first walked in there was so much to see and I like how there were different stations guiding your through the space. My daughter ran past the play kitchen, lego and train station straight to the swings! There were 3 or 4 different options and seemed to range from baby to 5-6 year olds, really good variety. There's also a climbing structure with a slide and ball pit. When you keep walking there's a kitchen with a fridge, water, and vending machine with snacks. But our favorite part? The bouncy house! Yes... tucked in the back is a huge bouncy house with a slide. I was shocked... good shocked because HOW DID THEY EVEN GET THAT IN THERE! Lol. We spent the duration of 90 minute visit there and my daughter made friends with a pair that was there. She's been out on holiday break so it was great to play with other kids. After jumping for a while we found the paint area then made our way to the train and Lego station. After around 1.5 hours we had to leave and she threw a FIT. Bad for me but a great sign for the experience!!

I've heard a lot of good things about this place! It's smaller than I thought, with a few rooms - one main room with swings, an arts and crafts room, a quiet room, and there was a back area with a bounce house. We went on a federal holiday, and it was pretty crowded in the morning. The line to get in was long and a bit chaotic since the reception area isn't a large space to begin with. Luckily, I signed the waiver prior, which made our check-in a little easier. We did bring our own grippy socks, but they were not up to par with the staff, so we had to buy our own. My kids are at different age ranges 5 and 1 years old and I think they both had fun. Because the space was so small, it did seem a bit chaotic with kids as well as parents in the space. I wasn't sure if there was a cap on how many people could be in the space at a time. My kids had fun, and my daughter wanted to stay longer, but I would recommend going at a quieter time.

I visited Swings and Wings for the first time today with my toddler and it was an okay experience. There are several positives but a few concerns. It's located in a shopping plaza, so there is parking, but it's limited because of all the stores. Everyone needs to sign a waiver before entering which can be done online. One of the best things about this place is that you can enter and exit as much as you want without having to repay the entry cost. I would also recommend bringing a snack for your little one, as there is a vending machine with different options but everything is marked up. Inside there is a bounce house, swing area, arts and crafts area, sleep room, ball pit, and station for toys like legos. All children must wear socks with grips and if the grips aren't "grippy" enough, you'll have to buy socks there that you can keep. I wish the staff would have done more by way of cleaning up behind children and telling parents to control the actions of their child. Overall, not a bad place to visit.

Ask the Community - Swings and Wings

Would it be feasible to bring a 4.5, 2.5, 11 month old and monitor them all playing different things?

Hello Ayshah! It should be ok. The space is created for children to explore freely. We have had a few parents bring multiple children. Hope to see you soon :)

She said it was even better than her regular preschool because it had a ball pit, a bounce house, and yummy snacks.

The most minor problem is that "because of COVID" they're asking all kids to register as if they were in last year's grade, not the grade they will be in at the end of the summer. I don't think most parents followed this instruction. Thus, my 10 year old is in a group with absolutely no kids his age. When I brought up my concern, I was told there was no way to fix this. My older kid has been bored out of his mind. My younger kid has spent the week thus far being bullied by another camper. This other camper has kissed a girl without her consent, filmed this same girl on his phone without her consent, kicked my kid in his shins, and in numerous other ways physically assaulted him. This has occurred all week. On Thursday, at 11:53am I had to step out of an incredibly important work meeting to take a call from the camp. They informed me that this problematic camper was getting into it with my son and they wanted me to talk to my son about staying away from him. When I spoke to the camp director, she told me she wasn't aware my son had been hit repeatedly by this other kid. And she didn't feel she had the ability to keep them separate. Needless to say, my husband is on the way to retrieve both of my kids because we're concerned about their health and wellbeing. They will not return for the last day of camp. All and all, this was a total waste of money. I was nervous they weren't safe all week, and today my fears were confirmed. They cannot keep kids safe and healthy, therefore, we will not be returning for the last day of camp.

Our son has been going to the after school program since TK and he loves the STEAM program (STEM +…read moreART)! He enjoys the van ride from Bay Farm to the big island with the other kids and now that he's in K, he spends about 2-3 hours after school there - playing with new and old friends, learning more coding, math, reading, and science and experimenting with art methods. It definitely fills in the gaps of public school with the stronger focus on academics. We are very happy with his progress. And of course, he loves his STEAM teachers, Ms. Yuan and Ms. Jamila, as well as the coding, art and math teachers (Mr. Francisco, Mr. Patrick, Ms. Emily, etc.). That being said, this school isn't for everyone and parents have to be open to finding the right school for their child (which can change over time). For our family, I appreciate that this school respects the learning environment best for kids who are ready and motivated to learn on their own. This means that the kids are ready to learn and appreciate the lessons prepared (not yelling, standing on tables, napping, or other disruptive behavior), responsible/sensible to sit in a van full of kids and listen to the teacher, get along and be respectful to others, etc. To keep the kids on schedule with the van and different subjects requires tremendous patience, planning and care from the teachers, staff (Mr. Long) and Director Sunny - we appreciate you! If your kids can focus and manage at YY, they can sit through movies, dinners, airplane rides, etc. - self-managed discipline is what I appreciate the most. The staff communicates well in advance and also is very responsive and accommodating (e.g. if I have to pick up early, miss school, have another parent pickup, etc.). They also have parent-teacher conferences twice a year with a newsletter about your child's class with photos. Also, when we first signed up for TK when my child was 4, I was worried about the transportation, but that's one of the best part that our kid looks forward to when he goes to YY with his friends - it's safe and the van is there early for pickups (and the fee is very economical for us working parents!). We also have friends in the Mandarin program whose parents are very impressed with their children's language and writing skills and enjoy their class performances! We also have a friend who moved their child here due to allergies. Our kid also has a mild allergy and Yuying is very good about keeping everyone safe with allergies (making sure there's no nuts in anyone's lunchbox, no sharing, educating kids about allergies and keeping everyone safe, etc.) and also keeping up with the parents for updated EpiPens and meds.

There is also ample time for play as my son is active so he needs to burn his energy off. The teachers are caring and nice. The only thing I don't care for is the parking situation. It's on a busy street surrounded by multi-unit housing so parents are frequently double parking on Central Ave and some in the past have even driven across the sidewalk from adjacent driveways without regard to pedestrians. Parents need to be less entitled and walk like the rest of us and not put my life or kids in danger. If you're one of those parents reading this review then please stop.
