Had some better quality crystals locked up in a showcase. First time I've seen that. Had some sage and palo alto sprays that were nice that I would LOVE to spray in negative environments lol. They sell sage and Palo Alto as well to burn. They also had dragon blood and frankinsense and Myrrh to burn with sage. Place smelled nice and had zen music on.

Band tshirts, tiedye stuff, buddas, spiritual figures, incense, oils, burners, etc. Even perfume oils, lots of figurines from dragons to fairies, Angel's etc. Jeweley beautifully made. Earrings, necklaces, braclets, amulets, etc. Some clothes very quirky. Purses, backpacks.. Candles and oils to burn. Great gift ideas for that eccentric someone in your life. Collectible statues and deities. This store holds alot of things you didnt know you needed or wanted. You never know what you will find. I love their oils and they carry the brand I love, although thru the years the prices have gone up drastically they do last. So if you wander by give them a check in yo uwont be disappointed.

I know it's Black Friday and we should expect lines but the lines in this store didn't move and were handled poorly. There was a girl trying to have people form one line and be assigned a lame to stand in. This wasn't working and people just walked up and got in line while the ones following the rules had to wait their turn to enter. Some of the lines didn't move at all, others were moving a great pace. They had a girl scan some orders while we were online. I thought this would speed up the process but it did not. Everything was still checked and rung up at the register. Poor use of this ability! I love the selection but I'll be returning to another location, Everyone has crowds on Black Friday but the way they handled them here just wasn't ok. Also, there were multiple coupon issues. Some lines allowed, some did not. When I questioned my cashier she told me no I couldn't use mine, I asked for the manager and she looked at me like I was nuts. I had just seen the manager allow the sand coupon to be used that I was trying to use. Very little consistency with little sense of urgency to move the line. Good thing there are many locations to shop instead of this one

I was not able to get the name of the other employee but Jacklyn and her coworker both helped me find a replacement for a bracelet my boyfriend gifted me. Spencer's - My first job way back when. Black lights, shag carpeting and trippy posters ruled. Dude, the Farah Fawcett posters are still out of stock.

Their assortment of gag gifts, cheap t's, novelty lights and other bric a brac seems to draw people in like a magnet. Some of the clientele are likely here to buy gifts for teens( as I was on this visit) but some may be perusing the wares with an eye to more adult endeavors. I was pleased to find such a great selection of lava lights( a 13 year olds bday request) and at not too bad of a price. I recall buying similar items here when I was in that age group. But they seem less interesting now, as if the lava has been replaced with a safer and more boring liquid? When I mentioned this to the very friendly manager on duty, she agreed but was unaware of the details. I'm glad Spencer's has survived with the changing times. Sure, you could probably find most of this stuff online for cheaper. But you couldn't enjoy watching the smiles and giggles of adults and kids as they browse the risqué and low brow humorous merchandise here. 3.5 reminiscing about my blacklight poster collection that I was not allowed to have Yelps

Avoid, avoid! I…read moretried to follow my recipe for success at David's Bridal. I made an appointment. I went on a weekday morning when I knew it would be quieter. I saved favorites on the website. I'd been to other stores, I'd read lots of reviews, and I was confident that I could do this. No. Not at this location. Problems: 1. They couldn't find me in the David's Bridal system. Even though I'm registered on the website AND HAVE BEEN TO OTHER STORES, they couldn't find me. No idea what happened here. 2. Even though the DB form says "groom/partner's name," the woman at the front desk was totally confused by me. "What's your groom's name?" "My bride's name is Catherine." "Oh, so you're not the bride?" "No, I am. There are two brides." *blank stares* "I'm marrying another woman... it's a gay wedding." "Oh..." I know NJ doesn't have marriage equality yet, BUT: a.) It's been in the news very, very recently, as the state legislature just passed it, and b.) gay people DO exist in NJ and get married there. So don't look at me like I have three heads. 3. They could not print out my favorites. They just didn't have that capacity. So the consultant (Bertha) tried to look them up, INDIVIDUALLY on the world's most ancient computer. But instead of just looking at them and going "oh, yes, that one, I'll get it," she had to print them all out individually. We made it through about five, which just doesn't cut it at a DB store. By this point, it was 30 minutes into my appointment and I wasn't even in the dressing room yet. 4. The consultant (Bertha) was not very helpful. She was friendly and nice, but she brought me some dresses and a bra and then... just disappeared. She didn't help me into them, she didn't give me feedback, nothing. She just sort of disappeared. I ran out of dresses to try on very quickly, and Bertha was nowhere to be found (it's not a big store). My mom and I started pulling our own dresses (which is a big DB no-no). No one stopped us. So after a while we just left. Bertha was at the check out desk as we left, smiled at us sympathetically, and waved good-bye, "Oh, didn't find anything? That's too bad!" Honestly, she had no idea what we did or didn't find. We could've picked out a fantastic dress and then just decided to order it online. She had no clue. The real kicker was that we found out later that DB was having a sale ("Wedding March," runs first half of March) and no one even mentioned it to us! Also, the woman checking us in took a call while we were there and said to someone on the phone, "Oh, I don't know if we can do that, we're really busy right now." There was barely anyone in the store! (Trust me, I've been to a DB on a Saturday in January, and I know busy. This store was not busy.) All in all, avoid this location. Go to the one in East Brunswick instead. This place is what gives DB stores their awful reputation.
