I saw a TikTok video about this spot and how good the cookies were. Unfortunately, to me, they are not worth the hype. From the look of the cookies I thought they would be crispy but they were soft... they tasted fine but not worth it for me. I ordered a half dozen - three chocolate chip, one double chocolate, one red/white/blue and a snickerdoodle. Service was alright, you order from a kiosk and then once your order is ready they just hand it to you- it was super fast.
I went to Thin Cookies one weekend with my daughter and the shop was very tiny and looked popular because it was crowded with many customers going in and out. The whole store was all yellow and looked very modern so it was nice to feel the nice decor outside. I decided to try it out to see if the cookies were worth the hype. I did not realize it was very small and tight when I went inside. There was no seating and all orders were to go. Luckily outside had yellow stools and tables to eat the cookies. The kitchen staff was opened to the public and they were hard at work baking cookies. Inside had yellow walls and a high ceiling. The flooring was black and there were three steps to walk up to the open kitchen. Surprisingly it was not that expensive when I saw the menu. They had a pretty good deal where you can get 6 cookies for $7 so I got that deal. I got the classic flavors on the menu to try each flavor out. They were the chocolate chip, double chocolate, snickerdoodle, cookies and cream, fruity pebbles, and churro brownie. These cookies were really good when I tried them! They were one of the thinnest and the most softest cookies that I have ever eaten. I did not even need to use much of my teeth and effort to bite the cookies. They were oily though, which was what made them good. I had to use wipes to wipe the grease off my hands afterwards.
This cookie spot is a 10/10. I came specifically all the way from Miami... haha, just kidding, but while I was in NY, I did track this place down because I saw them on TikTok and had to see what the hype was about. I got the sleeve of cookies, and honestly, I couldn't even tell you which one I liked best because they were all delicious. Every single one was worth it. I would recommend this place to everyone. It beats those super thick, over-the-top cookies by a lot. Love this place and would absolutely come back!
I love Thin Cookies, they're delicious. This batch was no exception. The service..ehhhh. I walked in and wasn't greeted and when I grabbed my order and said "thank you", it was returned with silence. But the person that came after me received an entire fan fare. I notice service like that because there are plenty of other cookies stores on this block that I could have given my service. I'll give grace because I was the second customer of the day (store just opened). But I do appreciate excellent customer service. It was clean and well maintained.
As someone who loves just a little bite of something, I was actually stoked to check out Thin Cookies. They taste just about how you expect, nothing mindblowing but DEF fresh, thin, soft, and with a gentle crispness on the outside, which is their appeal. It's a really tiny space and you can order at the kiosk or with the person but the person may be slammed. When I went on a weekday night there were a good number of people standing inside waiting for their orders; there's not really a place for you to sit and enjoy so hope for good weather when you go! All in all, would definitely try this place again if I was in the area. Love the commitment to just one thing and can see them sticking around for a while. Good luck, Thin Cookies! Okay, so I have a thing for tiny and thin food. Angel hair pasta, mini cupcakes, if it's tiny and thin, I'm usually in. When I walked by this spot I was goo goo eyed and locked in immediately, and I wasn't disappointed. I'm not a big fan of how full I get with bigger cookies all the time (with the exception of a bomb ass goey chocolate chip classic cookie) so trying thin cookies allows me to try more flavors without getting stuffed! If you have an appetite like mine, Thin Cookies are definitely for you. They have multiple flavors, are delish, and reasonably priced by NYC standards. The shop is very small but there is seating outside. No bathroom available. Will be coming back when I pass through again!
Thin Cookies. That's what they make, that's what you get. I think that makes me feel less guilty about eating an entire box in one sitting, which I'm sure is part of their master plan. It's a no frills operation. Walk in, order at the kiosk, brief wait while your sweets are packaged up. The staff is friendly but mostly engaged in the work of making more cookies. I love the chocolate chip. It's crispy and still chewy. The churro brownie was also an inspired creation. They do rotate monthly choices, so some cookies you see here may not be available when you go. Even if that's the case, there will still be a cookie for you.
We stumbled upon this place and I do enjoy a thin cookie snickerdoodles was incredible chocolate chip was excellent. They have three flavors that remain the same and then 3 that change. The service guys were great. Eric, the manager was great as well as the cashier. I believe the ice cream sandwich would probably be amazing. Very small place. Would highly recommend.

They're the perfect texture to me and so buttery. 10/10 would definitely recommend!
I'm a fan of thin, crispy cookies, so I was excited to try this spot. The bright yellow storefront is hard to miss, and the space is small - perfect for a quick order and go. You can order at the counter or via kiosk, which is convenient. I tried the chocolate chip, double chocolate chip, salted caramel, and snickerdoodle. Overall, they were just okay. The texture was doughy and chewy throughout not crispy at all, which was a letdown for me. Glad I tried it, but it's not a place I'd go out of my way to return to.
Very overhyped, subpar cookie would rather have pillsbury ready to bake cookie dough at home than spend money on this. Price isn't terrible but just not worth it if you are looking for a good cookie
This store sells exactly what they are called, Thin Cookies. I have been excited to try these cookies because I thought that it was an interesting concept. I don't want to say that these were my favorite cookies but these cookies were pretty good. I got a pack of 6 meaning one of each flavor they had. There were a couple of flavors I thought tasted too similar which were weirdly the oatmeal and the snickerdoodle. My favorite that I had was the strawberry shortcake which had a very nice strawberry and cream flavor. I really liked the fact that all of these cookies have crispy edges with a chewy interior. The service was great and the cashier was super sweet.

Must try: Chocolate Chip and Double Chocolate! Why: Well dang, this place has been on my list for a while and I finally got to try and loved it. Truly thin, soft, and chewy! I had my doubts that a thin cookie could still be so soft and chewy packed with sweet deliciousness but they def proved me wrong. I got a box of 6 to try and I did love the originals the most: Chocolate Chip and Double Chocolate. I also tried Snickerdoodle, White Chocolate Macadamia, Lemon Crumble, and KitKat. Snickerdoodle and KitKat didn't totally come through for me with their respective flavors but still good. I devoured the Chocolate Chip and Double Chocolate and took a bite of all the other ones to taste. I ended up saving some for the next day and they were still soft and delicious! Notes: Small shop with one kiosk on right or you can order from cashier. I used the kiosk and cookies were ready in nearly a minute. They have a few high tables with chairs in front if you want to enjoy on the spot. I ended up taking mine to go so they gave me a bag for convenience. I like the box design that divides each cookie making it easy to grab and eat. The wall with all the messages was hilarious - some fun messages about their competition Crumbl that's across the street. read more

These are all right. I feel like you get exactly what you'd expect. I tried the double chocolate chip and the banana pudding. The double chocolate chip was actually pretty good, I like how the chocolate chips were melty and warm. However, the banana pudding one was really bad; it just tasted super artificial. The service was very fast, and the atmosphere inside is very compact, mostly designed to get you in and out, which isn't a bad thing. I do like how their cookies are pretty cheap. If you just want a quick, sweet treat, it's worth trying, but don't expect to be blown away. read more

Quite disappointing.. these cookies DID NOT live up to the hype. I got 1 of all the flavors - chocolate chip - coconut - banana - snicker doodle & - double chocolate each cookie lacked flavor, tasted somewhat stale, with crispy edges. The only cookie that was DECENT was the chocolate chip. There are wayyyy better cookie options in NYC. Would not return. read more
I walked by it and decided to get some to go because I've heard about this place. Upon entry you walk up a couple of steps to get to cashier counter. The place is small, clean and for takeout order only. I end up ordering the 6 pack to go. Upon unpacking you can smell the buttery goodness. The cookies were chewy and light. I enjoyed it and put it as on top of most likable cookies on NYC. Will definitely go back when I'm in the area. read more
Was looking for cookies to munch on after spending the day walking and thought to give this place a try. I'm more of an insomnia, summerhouse, cookie guy. I've never been a fan of crumbl and this place markets themselves as being better. Ordering is easy, you can go to the counter or to the kiosks on the side. They had a number of flavors and we opted for the box of 6 to try a few. There's no inside seating so we grabbed a sidewalk high table and sat. The cookies came out pretty quickly, but when I say they fell below expectations I really mean it. Chocolate chip - basic/ classic - 5/10 Double chocolate chip - probably the best 7/10 Snickerdoodle - no flavor - 1/10 Banana-something - 4/10 Coconut - 5/10 I don't even remember what the other flavor was, likely because it was not memorable. Save your $, try a full sized cookie elsewhere. read more

The staff was very fast and nice, but I think you need to eat these cookies immediately. We waited two hours to eat them for dessert and they were soggy. Not sure if it was because of the humid weather or the cookie box trapped the heat inside from the fresh baked cookies... They were decent baked again in the oven but definitely don't wait. Fortunately, no line on a Saturday afternoon. Snickerdoodle was great. The creative flavors like chocolate pretzel, banana pudding and pistachio missed the mark. Not strong enough flavors which I think is hard to incorporate in such thin cookies . Banana pudding was okay. read more

Of course had to come see what the hype was about and it did not disappoint. Was skeptical about super thin cookies at first but they were surprisingly chewy. Cookies were not too sweet and perfect sizes. My favorite was the chocolate chip. Seating wise there were a couple of tables outside but nothing inside. You could either order at the counter or on the ipad inside. read more
The cookies were solid! I just don't think thin cookies are my favorite. It's tender at the center and more crisp on the outside. I can see it being stale quicker, so I'd recommend eating it day of. If you're into thin cookies, definitely come here for the various flavors. read more

It was a beautiful day, so I decided to take a stroll through the East Village and my sweet tooth kicked in. I decided to stop by Thin Cookies. Friendly staff, quick service, and even better cookies. You would think that because they are REALLY thin grant they would be crispy...NOPE - Far from it ! They were warm, moist, chewy, and very good. For the month of September, new on the menu were: coconut, banana pudding, and chocolate pretzel. Her's what I ordered: Chocolate pretzel 5/5 Snickerdoodle 5/5 Chocolate chip 5/5 Banana pudding 5/5. Didn't know if I was gonna like it, but I did. They say they are better than Crumbl. I'll let you all be the judge. Til we eat again..... read more
I had been hopping to a few places with my friend in the city and smelled the heavenly scent of butter and chocolate chips. I decided to walk in since I had never heard of or seen this place before. I got an array of 6-8 cookies but my star is always classic chocolate chip. The cookies were fresh and tasty. The staff was efficient and it seemed pretty popular considering a line formed soon after I walked in. I'd go back and get another round if I'm in the area. read more
This is the perfect cookie for me! I love chewy cookies, and not crispy cracker-like cookies. Chocolate chip cookies are actually one of my favorite desserts, so I love to try cookies in the quest to find good cookies. Even though these cookies are thin, they have the perfect amount of chew for me! And yes, these are waaaay better than Crumble. I came with a group, and at first we decided to get a box of 6. After we ate the cookies, we loved them so much that we bought another box of 12! In hindsight, I wish we had bought another box of 24 to take home because we were visiting from out of town. The chocolate chip was my favorite by far, and that's usually the case when I'm trying out cookies. If I ever visit NYC again (I will), I'm definitely going back to Thin Cookies. (There's not many restaurants/cafes that I repeatedly visit.) To put it into perspective, I have also tried Levain, which is also good but different. Levain is more of a gooey cakey cookie, and I prefer the cookies from Thin Cookies because I love the chew. read more

Stumbled upon here. Came to give it a try and kept coming back. It was thin and chewy and not too sweet. So you can eat multiple without feeling heavy or too guilty. I like the classic chocolate chip cookie. But this seasonal ones are pretty good read more

Thin Cookies 166 Bleecker St. New York, NY 10012 Chocolate Chip Cookie Double Chocolate Snickerdoodle Caramel Macchiato Strawberry Pop Tart Churro Brown Appearance: 8.6/10 Taste: 7/10 Located in Greenwich Village is a specialty cookie shop. Out of the four build your own options, it was a no brainer to purchase six cookies for $7. As I opened the box, I was in awe as to how thin they truly were. The inner packaging was excellent because the individual slots prevented the cookies from crumbling and sticking together. These are the six cookies I explored: Chocolate Chip Cookie: You can never go wrong with this traditional cookie that has the original ingredients. Double Chocolate: As with any double chocolate chip cookie I tried, the splurge of chocolate is too strong. This is why I feel you only need a regular chocolate chip cookie for your fix. Snickerdoodle: The sugar cookies are all right, but they will never surpass my personal preference over a regular chocolate chip cookie. The combination of cinnamon and sugar isn't my preferred preference. Caramel Macchiato: The dash of caramel added a perfect amount of sweetness; this was definitely the chewier cookie of the bunch. I wish this was available all year round. Strawberry Pop Tart: This cookie is an acquired taste as your taste buds need to get used to Pop Tarts being blended with cookie dough. Churro Brown: The cinnamon based cookie is a great idea; however, I strongly believe this seasonal cookie would be a better fit during the holiday season. Only limited outdoor seating is available, so I highly recommend purchasing your treats to go. Although the cookies were thin, they were ironically chewy and supposedly this chain claims their brand has higher standards than their competition. We tried the chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, and Christmas sugar cookie. While the cookie tasted good, you lose the gooey and soft texture of a regular cookie. It's not as crunchy as you would expect. The cookie didn't taste bad by any means but I'm big on the texture of food so I would not order this again. read more
These cookies are fine but nothing special. They're gimmicky like Baked by Melissa cupcakes. There's more money spent on the packaging than the ingredients for the actual cookie. They're fine but if there's a line, I wouldn't recommend lining up for it read more

I've visited this location about four times now, and I just can't get enough! The cookies are absolutely addictive, and the prices are very reasonable. I usually go later in the day even if there's a line, it moves quickly, so don't be discouraged if you see a crowd. The staff is always friendly, and I often see the same team members each visit, which I really appreciate. Their rotating monthly cookie flavors are always fun to try. I haven't tried the ice cream sandwich yet I'm tempted, but since the cookies are on the thinner side and they give a generous scoop of ice cream, I'm curious how it all holds together! read more

I made it to thin cookies and it's a cute shop. Cute packaging, friendly service, and semi sweet cookies. I got all of the flavors, chocolate chips, snickerdoodle, reeses, pumpkin spice, double fudge and I think cinnamon sugar. All great flavors pumpkin spice stole the show. Chewy on the inside, light crunch on the outer edge. My kind of cookies. read more

They promote themselves as being better than Crumbl. This is partly true because I was willing to give them a try; I've had no desire to try Crumbl. I just happened to pass by so I grabbed two cookies. They are $2 each, very thin (obviously) and 3" in diameter so a bit on the smaller side. I tried the chocolate chip. It felt like I was eating a cookie made from store bought cookie dough. I also had the pistachio chai. While it was good it did not taste like either of those flavors and it had white chocolate chips. Thought this was odd. I would've preferred paying $5 or so for one fat cookie. read more

They're claiming to be better than crumbl and I can 10000000000% attest to that! What started in a small kitchen and made its way to the streets of NYC, Thin Cookies is serving up thin, crispy, yet soft chewy cookies in their big 3: Chocolate Chip, Double Chocolate Chip, Snickerdoodle, and monthly rotated flavors. Thin cookies came back with their cosmic brownie flavor back in March and I've been daydreaming about this cookie since I've first tried it in 2025. These cookies are perfectly chocolaty, soft, chewy, and have the famous cosmic brownie sprinkles. Thin cookies is one of my favorite dessert spots in NYC and it's the best $7 you'll spend! read more
