I would eat this every time if it was a permanent addition to the menu. Tuesdays are always great with Trivia provided by Bar Trivia Live. Nick, Kevin, and Dave make everyone welcome and make sure the game is fun for everyone. Keep up the great work! P.S. RIP Public House Crunch Wrap. Good night, sweet prince, and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.

Well we finally made it back here for dinner on a Wednesday night. We started with the pretzel…read moreflight. SO disappointing. The sauces were good, especially the beer cheese (at least they haven't changed that). What was pretty terrible were the pretzels themselves. They take the longer soft pretzel logs and cut them into bite size pieces. And then they are FRIED. Who fries soft pretzels? They were hard and greasy. This is the first time in our history of ordering a soft pretzel appetizer that we just couldn't finish it. They were that bad. For entrees Hubby ordered the crispy chicken Caesar and I got the burger with fries. Hubby's salad was huge, but there was way too much Parmesan cheese. He never did get a good taste of the dressing because of that. The chicken on the other hand was well fried and still juicy inside. I ordered my burger medium, and it came out mid-rare, which is how I eat them anyway. The burger itself was salty - guessing the flattop maybe hasn't been cleaned after lunch? The top bun spent a little too much time on the flat top as well. The pickles they use are sour (some people like that, I don't mind), but if you are not a fan of sour pickles, you'll want to skip them. Service was fantastic and it's a very clean place (restrooms are particularly clean). I am sure it is a great place to go for drinks - the bar is pretty extensive. But since we don't bar hop anymore, I don't think we will be going back. One last word on the pretzel appetizer because I am still shaking my head over that. If you want to serve pretzel bites so there are more ways to try all the dipping sauces, just purchase pretzel bites and bake them.

Tried the take out on steak Thursday. The steak was cooked as ordered, "medium rare on the rare…read moreside" well seasoned and tender. The included baked potato was also prepared well. Jamie is always friendly and professional. Other encounters with other staff have been amicable. It's a tavern. It is all inclusive. The food is good with reasonably prices. Dogs are allowed and fawned upon. The music is not overwhelming but I have never been there during the evening.

There are 3 machines in the back where there had been a guy playing on the machine, but he had gotten up and was no where near the machines at this time. We ordered a drink and my wife went over to see what the machines were, what games they had and if they required cash. The "man" in question walks up and asks her "what the fuck are you doing?" She calmly tried to explain that she wanted to see what the machines were and how to play. He continued cursing at her "you can't fucking touch people's machines" "this is gambling". "I've got $350 fucking dollars on this machine" She tried to explain she was sorry and didn't know and he continued to speak to her disrespectfully and cursing at her. She walked away and asked for our tab. I got up walked over and asked him "is that how you speak to people?" He starts trying to explain himself and I reiterated that he could have said things very differently and she didn't know and that's unacceptable. He tells me to talk to the bartender. The bartender comes over and as we are explaining what happened, she says "you probably shouldn't be pushing buttons". There were no questions asked and not one word was said to the douchebag on the machine. We don't live in a state that has gambling. We didn't know he had money on the machine and we certainly weren't trying to spend his money. Ask questions, explain yourself but you don't speak to my wife that way and you will not curse at her and think it's acceptable. We were offered to go cups to take our drinks with us as we left. We were so pissed and upset, we left our full drinks on the bar and left. I can promise you this, we will not ever return here and we will make sure everyone we know is aware of how this establishment treats people who aren't regulars. It's supposed to be a safe environment for all. We didn't feel safe and we didn't feel supported. Shame on you Mr Douchebag and shame on you MJs tavern.

Another great meal with Family at Park Lane Tavern. Very lively atmosphere because of Octoberfest…read morebeing celebrated already and of course Thursday Night Football. The food and service were great as usual. I had Fish & Chips. The Fish was cooked perfectly and served with the right amount of fries. After looking at the Dessert Menu, I couldn't resist the Guinness Brownie Sundae. Guinness Stout brownie topped with vanilla bean ice cream, chocolate sauce, whipped cream & toasted almonds. Oh my goodness it was amazing and the perfect ending to a great dinner. Thanks Park Lane for a very enjoyable evening. I will definitely be back.

We stumbled upon this neighborhood Tavern and what a find it was. First visit was on a Saturday…read moreevening and surprisingly not busy around 6;30 pm. We returned a second time and super busy on a Tuesday same time-why? Fish and Chips Thursday (1/2 price). Not too long of a wait though -1/2 hour and went fast as we had a drink at the Bar. We tried a couple of appetizers-goat cheese dip and fire cracker shrimp-both tasty. The Bacon stuffed Gouda burger was ordered on both visits -Ground Chuck/Proper Tavern Burger and it was that good! Fish and Chips were also ordered both visits-perfectly battered Haddock living up to the Tavern billing. The Tavern Monte Cristo is one to try. Battered and fried sandwich is never a bad idea-we loved it! We had a mix of draft beers (import)-they had Carlsberg (Danish) which isn't easy to find as well we had a Scottish Ale. Overall, an ample import draft list. Service was super engaged and upbeat from beginning to end on both visits. They are a Futbol Tavern and they mentioned they do get quite busy and have an even more of a fun atmosphere during the season-too bad we only visit during the Futbol off season-summer. We saw banners for Oktoberfest celebrations. Specials Monday-Thursday including Whiskey, wine and Wellington! Also, have a couple of sister locations in Hampton and Fredericksburg. Most definitely has been added to our must stops when visiting the Beach!
