My fiancee…read moreand I cannot say enough good things about her and her work, and oh, by the way, her pricing is extremely competitive. My fiancee first reached out to Sally in summer 2012 for our April 2013 wedding as we started to check out options for addressing our invitations. We did not make final decisions on our invitations until December and, as luck would have it, Sally recontacted US to see if we needed help (how's that for service?!). She was extremely prompt on email, super-organized, and totally "game" to match our invitation "font" to her script. Her professionalism was unbelievably helpful given our busy lives. Once we received our invitations, we shipped them to Sally and she completed the whole job (inner and outer envelopes for 60 invitations) in about a day. Then, she HAND delivered them to my HOME because "she was in the neighborhood." They are beautiful. We would use Sally/Monks of Age again in a heartbeat.

Recently I saw menu cards designed by Sally of Monks of Age. The setting was elegant, modern and…read morewith a restrained color scheme, and her fold over cards picked up that style and color perfectly - modern fonts, charcoal and silver paper, beautiful proportions. The menu cards were the finishing touch on each place setting, and everyone commented on how beautiful they were. Sally proves that calligraphy is NOT a thing of the past but a beautiful addition to any elegant decor.

I love this little art studio and can't wait to take more classes here! I participated in a Dutch…read morePour Class (offered through Artown) and had so much fun making a set of coasters. The class size was perfect for this activity, allowing for the teacher to adequately share instructions, demonstrate the process, and work one-on-one with students as needed. The instructions were organized on a print out with all the materials and supplies needed to replicate the activity at home and referenced during the instruction portion of the class. The materials for the class were well-maintained and organized at each place setting for each student. I've taken other art classes elsewhere and I felt like this was a step above with regard to organization, instruction, and take away materials. I loved the experience so much that I'm going to take another class in October, and this time I'm bringing a friend! In addition to the art classes and studio, Copper Cat also has a delightful little art/gift shop with items made from the artists in studio. Most are in the front shop, but some pieces are scattered throughout. Take your time looking at all the wonderful pieces... so many great art gems for sale at very affordable prices. This little shop is now on my go-to for gift shopping.

I'm not a mosaic or stained glass artist, but even to my eyes, the supply they carry looked amazing. Also local artists' works (including the owner Katie's) throughout; perfect for gift shopping. Yes, original art makes great gifts, while supporting a local woman-owned business! Everything is so tastefully, lovingly displayed. Just very lovely space. Hope you'll come visit.

Most of my larger pastel paintings are framed here, and I really love it that I can just walk in and everyone knows how exactly I want it framed. The quality of the job is superb, and the cost is reasonable. I'm so thankful for their work. For the art supply, even if they don't have what you need, they may be able to get it for you. I've ordered my big easel through NV Fine Arts, and it saved me a lot of time and money. Staff is kind and helpful. The art exhibits they put on are great and fun, giving local artists some opportunities to show. It's all over wonderful!

I drove her back to buy more supplies and when she was checking out the cashier saw that she had some pencils visible in her purse, but instead of asking her if she'd like to pay for the pencils or if they were her's the cashier accused her of shop lifting and kicked her out of the store without taking her order for $100s of dollars. I was waiting in the car and I could see that my girlfriend the experience had her shaken up. So I went back to the store with her to see what was up and when the two employees saw us coming in the door they rushed us and yelled at us and pushed us out of the store. This was over a couple of $ worth of pencils that they could have just asked her about. It's not like they were hidden. She was at the register trying to pay.

After confirming that I already had the cards, I was told to come by for assistance and a quote. I drove about 15 minutes across town expecting a basic consultation. The same woman who answered the phone was at the front desk. From the beginning, her tone was sarcastic and condescending. When I showed her a sample of my design and mentioned it was made in Canva, she immediately dismissed it as "sh*t software" and made a point of saying they "use REAL software." When she learned the file wasn't vectorized, she told me I was wasting her time... despite never mentioning this requirement during the phone call. Had I been told upfront that a vector file was required, I would have come prepared. Instead, I was spoken to rudely and made to feel unwelcome. When I asked for a rough quote anyway, I was quoted $2,500 to engrave 100 business cards!!! (with me providing the materials). At that point it was clear the price was either punitive or they simply didn't want the job, so I left. This is the first 1-star review I've ever felt compelled to write on Yelp. While other reviews suggest they may do decent work, the customer service alone is reason enough to look elsewhere. At a minimum, get quotes from other engravers in town before wasting your time and gas. $2,500 for 100 business cards, materials provided, paired with outright disrespect? Hard pass.
