    Such a unique experience. If you hate icing your sore muscles at home like I do, this is a quick and easy "quick chill" option.

His customer service was really friendly, professional and he is really knowledgeable about how to use equipment. Specifically he helped me to counsel about improving my range of motion on my lat pulldown. Through Francisco's leadership I was able to get my lat pull down up to pulling 240lbs for 7 reps. A first for me and an accomplishment giving I weigh 170lbs. Francisco fast tracked me for success by suggesting mechanical drop sets to challenge my biceps and mid/upper back. I would also like to recognize rep Ryan for his encouragement when I'm did a heavy chest day. Through his counsel I was able to start incorporating drop sets and rest pause into my routine. He also encouraged me to take my sets to complete failure to facilitate maximum hypertrophy growth. With his advice I was able to start filling my chest out in my tee shirts for a more fuller physique. Ryan is a very friendly person and has a very positive attitude. His customer service skills are top marks as he makes training simple without complicating gym routines. The third individual I do not know there name. But they recently sold me a one month gym pass around November 17, 2025. I had taken a couple of months off from the gym to recharge because I had been training mostly for about 5 yrs straight almost non stop. When I got in I was really lethargic and on the fence if I wanted to go fully back into the routine of training for gains and rebuilding my body from the ground up. This person gave me encouragement and the push that I needed to turn my mental attitude into a positive push. This is an example of leadership and encouraging others when it's needed. Cause I wasn't looking forward going through the lactic acid DOMS portion of training especially on a leg day. These 3 individuals should be commended for there individual skills and expertise that they bring to the table 1.) Francisco's friendly attitude and knowledge of training techniques improved the growth and width of my back. Friendly advice on improving my form when I train. Customer service skills that will provide him long term career growth. 2.) Ryan's encouragement of going to total failure and not being afraid of it. This shows leadership qualities and what he's capable of when he sees people train at curl fitness. His kind and very approachable personality. 3.) Third individual displayed leadership quality's by keeping me engaged at trying to progressively overload my training set by set, customer service skills and giving kind advice on how to navigate the lactic DOMS phase. The main reason I recommend these individuals is because I have been a type 1 diabetic now for 12 yrs. These individuals helped me with training which helps me navigate to improve the outcome of controlling my diabetes for better outcomes and a much healthier life. Pls give them some recognition

    This is a pretty decent gym. It isn't super busy everytime that I have gone which makes working out…read moreway better because you're not waiting for machines. A lot of the machines are pretty good quality as well compared to a lot of nearby gyms. The staff doesn't bother me and mind their own business whenever I enter which is nice. The locker room is a bit on the smaller side though. The only thing that I will complain about is that there is a leak from the ceiling so there are tiny puddles on the floor next to some of the machines. Not very nice to look at. I thought it was someone's sweat at first. Parking: plenty in the lot

Unfortunately, I had to end my membership because I couldn't afford it anymore, but hoping to come back when I can. Definitely recommend training here!

From the first time I walked in to get more information from Francis, everything was straightforward, honest, and no-nonsense. It's a solid space to work out without pressure. The recent expansion has added another level of real functionality and appeal, making the space even better. You get high-quality equipment, a clean and well-designed space, and great coaching without paying for hype or trends. It feels like a smart investment if you're serious about training. The atmosphere is calm, welcoming, and non-judgmental--people of all levels are there to work out, and it's easy to feel comfortable whether you're new or experienced. Personal training with Francis has also been great. He's knowledgeable, has a good sense of humor, and makes sessions enjoyable while helping you see real progress. You get the group fitness atmosphere and motivation, which I love, but also the attention of personal training because the groups are small, and the coaches are very attentive. The group classes are at most 8 people, so it's never too crowded and there is plenty of equipment to go around. Plus you get inspiration and motivation from the people working out around you. The owner Edgar designs the workout programs to run for 4-6. So you will be doing the same exact exercises each week until the program changes. This gives you the ability to track your progress and make improvements throughout the program. This is very different compared to other group fitness class I've done, which change the workouts each week, and there isn't as much structure or emphasis on tracking your lifts. Funktional fitness is great for anyone wanting to improve their physical fitness. It's great for the beginner and for the advanced lifter. The coaches are very knowledgeable and patient, but they will also challenge you. They have helped me out so much with my form on my lifts and given me cues that have really stuck for me. I've only been working out at Funktional for about 4 months but I've already seen more progress than I have the last year.

He's incredibly attentive during our sessions, correcting my form and pushing my goals each week. I'm a competitive person, and I thrive off challenges and raising the bar. I feel super comfortable with Braedon, knowing he will challenge me in a safe and supportive way. My goals with TWD have been to gain weight and gain muscle, and for the first time in my life I actually see and feel the results of my hard work. One of the many perks of working with a trainer is having someone to hold you accountable and help guide you with both the workouts and the nutrition. I've struggled with my own fitness journey throughout my life mostly because I travel so much for work, and I don't have a consistent schedule. Braedon works with me and my hectic schedule regardless if I'm home or on the road. If you're considering getting a personal trainer, I cannot recommend Train With Dave enough. The combination of in-person accountability, tracking my workouts and food in the app, and Dom's constant encouragement (yes, even texting me on weekends to remind me to stay on track!) has made all the difference. In about 5 months, I've lost 20 pounds and gained back muscle I'd been missing for years. As I get closer to 40, it was really important for me to rebuild strength for long-term health -- and Dom has helped me do exactly that. The 6 AM sessions are perfect for my schedule, and having others there training alongside me keeps me motivated. If you need structure, accountability, and results, this is the place to go.

Having now experienced FIT Brea, I'm definitely kicking myself for not trying this gym out sooner. I've only done their group fitness classes so far, which range from 8-12ish people in size, and I'm looking forward to trying out the personal training sessions when my schedule opens up! Here are a few ways that make FIT Brea a standout: COACHING: The coaches here are the whole package! 1. They all have stellar credentials, with many of them holding advance degrees and multiple certifications. In short, they know their stuff. 2. At the risk of sounding facetious, I just want to make the point that the FIT Brea coaches actually coach. It might sound like a no-brainer, but it hasn't always been my experience that coaches do much more beyond demo-ing the moves and saying "good job" or "keep going" every few minutes, especially in a group class setting. Here, the coaches constantly move throughout the room to offer individualized pointers on form, differentiated movements depending on individual strength and mobility, alternative movements for injuries, and encouragement and motivation to keep pushing so I can get better and better. 3. They are all super patient, encouraging, and welcoming! PROGRAMMING: The programming for the group classes are thoughtfully and methodically designed. From what I can tell so far, the workouts are structured in mesocycles with a progressive overload pattern. This is important because if we do the same thing over and over, our bodies will adapt and we will not make appreciable gains over time. With progressive overload, our bodies are constantly challenged so that we can keep increasing strength and improving hypertrophy. COMMUNITY: The FIT Brea community is so nice and helpful. I felt welcomed by the coaches and the other patrons from day one. Several people who recognized that I was new introduced themselves and helped me find and set up various equipment. Others even put my plates and dumbbells back during transitions. Just last week, the whole class broke out into spontaneous applause and cheer when I pushed out that last rep of bench press, haha! The mutually encouraging environment really underpins the whole vibe and experience here. It's a special thing. MANAGEMENT: One of the things that I didn't realize would make a difference in my overall gym experience is having direct access to management/owner. In my past gym experiences, the questions/concerns I had would typically have to go up a chain of command before I got a response. Since FIT Brea is owner-operated, the patrons can directly talk to Andrew, the owner, who is so nice and provides exceptional customer service. SPACE/EQUIPMEMENT: It's spacious, well-maintained, clean, and an overall pleasant environment to train in. CLASS OFFERINGS: I'm a busy mom who works full-time hours plus daily commute. I'm thankful that classes are offered as early as 5am and as late as 6:30pm so that I can get my training time in! If you are looking for a gym where you can optimize and maximize your fitness goals (whatever they are), look no further because FIT Brea is it! I'm a serial Yelp sleuther and almost never write reviews, but my experience thus far has so far exceeded my expectations that I felt compelled to share this gem of a place with others!
