The Springs Health & Rehabilitation Center - Negligence.. negligence... & more negligence! Mother was ambulanced that night thanks to me showing up! Not because she was being watched!

I spent 3 weeks at The Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center…read more The food is abysmal. The kitchen staff admit they don't eat it. Neither do the health care workers. However, the care is excellent The staff are amazing the facility is spotless. the housekeeping staff are efficient and work hard. They are constantly working. there is no odor. that confirms how efficient and effective they are. And yet, they readily admit that their most frequent and common complaint is about the food! Really?? I have a food allergy. And without fail there was always food on my tray that I could not eat. I requested a meeting with a kitchen supervisor. We discussed ALL of the issues with the food. He appeared disinterested. But he did tell me he didn't eat the food. He also told me they had shelled eggs. So at the very least I could have an edible breakfast, an egg and 2 slices of bacon. They don't have sourdough or French bread. These do not contain dairy. the bread they serve is similar to foam, once toasted it is tough and inedible. they have no training in how to identify what the dishes contain for allergy problems. Especially those that are made from mixes. I spent 3 weeks there and lost 10 pounds. When I got home I read all of the discharge paperwork. To my amazement it stated that I ate 75 to 100% of my meals. I was lucky to get one full meal a day. This left me speechless. I am going to call one of the administrators but having been gone for so long I have a lot on my plate, no pun intended. The Springs has a 4 star rating according to their posts. If they improved the quality of the food they would score 5 stars. Healing requires food. That's what the Springs is all about. Their food doesn't correlate with their mission. And now the transportation they arranged for me. A subpar privately owned outfit called 9 OneLife. The van was dirty, I rode next to the spare tire and the passenger seat near me was broken but the helper sat in it anyway. The shocks were so bad that my back hurt for days. I felt beaten up by the time I arrived at The Springs and was sore for days. The Springs needs to do better.

She was sent from the local hospital to The Springs for a several weeks stay. She was treated "kindly and with patience " while there! Both her and her sister were overjoyed. This facility in 2020 was very depressing with dark walls and everything seemed to bring you down…read more When I walked in 2 weeks ago I felt welcome. The walls were brighter there were live plants everywhere. February decorations were for Valentines and they were all over the place also. When you saw them they made you smile. Now the quality of care definitely needs to improve. When a patient rings their buzzer it sometimes takes them over a half an hour to respond. Not good especially when it was the only patient that rang their buzzer at that time. You can tell because there is no light flashing above their rooms. The staff is either to busy talking to one another or hopes the patient forgets they range the buzzer, and yet other times patients are ringing their buzzers all at the same time, this is when they are short of staff because they can't get all of the buzzer within a few minutes it might take them a half hour. But of course the patients don't know this is what is happening. As a visitor I walk around and this is what I see. As in any profession some love their job that is why they are there and those it is a paycheck and can't wait for the day to be over. All I can say it definitely is a big improvement from 2020 from when I was a patient at this facility. It feels warm and caring.

After initially reaching out for information, I decided to pursue treatment elsewhere and clearly communicated that decision to multiple staff members. Despite repeatedly asking them to stop contacting me, verbally and in writing, I continued to receive calls and messages, including calls as early as 5:00 a.m., even after I explicitly stated that further contact would be considered harassment. My requests to be removed from their contact list were ignored and my text messages asking them to stop went unanswered, while the calls continued from multiple numbers. On the few occasions I answered, the tone was confrontational and condescending, with staff repeatedly pressing me for an explanation as to why I chose another facility. I'm extremely concerned at the blatant lack of respect for boundaries during a time when someone seeking treatment is likely vulnerable. When I raised concerns about reviews and asked for no further contact, I was told not to trust negative reviews because former clients were "unwell" or "angry they didn't get their way," which felt inappropriate and dismissive, especially from a healthcare provider. Repeatedly contacting someone after explicitly being asked to stop multiple times is unacceptable, and I would urge others to think twice before contacting We Level Up for treatment.

This place is, in a word, a horror show…read more They use deceptive and dishonest techniques to get you in the door: lying about the amenities, about the lack of one-on-one therapy, saying there's a pool (it's a foot deep at best), telling you you'll be able to have your phone and computer on your person. They even took my books away for a whole week The place is a puppy mill. Their capacity is for 25 people but most of the time it's closer to 35. They deliberately don't tell many people when they are leaving, occasionally informing them the day of discharge in order to bring in new clients whilst also charging the insurance of the discharged for the whole month The staff is incompetent, two-faced,, and at times downright negligent and harmful. Many of the so-called counselors are profoundly unqualified, often doing sessions in a group of 25-30 people by reading off a printed out handout and occasionally asking "what are your thoughts on that?" Everything is impersonal and cookie cutter; they once gave us a Mad Libs to fill out. One time a girl had a seizure and the medical staff ignored us and laughed behind the door. Cruz in particular was one of the worst offenders: he would tell people they were signed up for an entire month and keeping them in the dark as to how long their insurance had really approved them for. After complaints about the appalling food - including a salad made of greens, ground beef and strawberries - he told us we were lucky to be there like we weren't paying thousands of dollars already. There are QR codes all over for us to use to lodge complaints regarding HIPAA but since our phones are taken away there is no way to actually lodge a complaint This place operates on a level that is unethical. It ought to be shut down immediately

Just finished my program with Ranch Creek Recovery I just wanted to say some words to anyone out…read morethere who's probably in the same position I was in. If you have a drinking problem and you suffer from addiction please don't wait to get the help that you need. I wasn't sure what to do with myself a month ago and my mental health was deteriorating. I have an amazing job and saw that even tho I was very functioning in real life deep down I was suffering daily and needed help because I couldn't do it on my own and I'll fully admit that. The moment you walk through those doors you feel welcomed. The staff will teach you so many coping mechanisms and with group therapy you'll get to express yourself and hear like minded people tell their stories. I was able to finally get on my correct medication regimen and my mental health has NEVER been better. I feel 100% again. Jerilyn is such an amazing councilor and I loved how vulnerable she was telling her all her stories that were so relatable. She is there to help you. She was the first person that made me realize I was in the right place and I'll forever cherish that. Jimmy is a stellar councilor and was so spiritual I loved our groups hearing him speak and teach you'll see a change in you each session. He gave us all great advice with great coping mechanism skills. Yanna I'm gonna miss her so much and our late night talks she will sit and speak with you and actually be there in the present and listen to what you have to say. She was also so welcoming with her group sessions. She also works with out patient so I can't wait to see her again! Vanessa and Derrick are both councilors who also work with their outpatient program and they are both there to help us continue our recovery and keep our sobriety strong. Both of them were great with their groups and shared valuable information and tools for recovery. Christine was our therapist and she was AMAZING ! She really is there and listens to what you have to say and cares so much about your process with the program. She's helped me so much with our 1on1 sessions and I'm very grateful for that. I learned so much about myself and applied so much of what I learned with her groups. Jorge, Will, Trisha, Kylie and Arsalan all were apart of the intake process and were so welcoming and chill they make you feel like family. The bond I made with everyone here at RCR was so real and I did NOT expect that to happen at all. In fact I didn't even know if doing this would actually change me. It wasn't until I started to actually feel different and I started taking things day by day and following the process. That's when I knew this was different. I actually changed for the better and I'll never forget them for saving me from myself. Best decision I ever made for myself!

We are very educated parents trying to learn about addiction. It has taught us so many issues we need to understand. I love this program. The money is worth it!!! I recommend this to anyone who wants to understand about loss, we lost 4 people in our family in less than a year. It was very hard for us and but not understand how it affected our six children. Our son is smart, kind, handsome but so compassionate and sensitive it hurt him terribly. Kids in their twenties are so absorbent when it comes to death. I wish he didn't have to learn it at this age. My husband lost his mother, sister, and brother tragically and I lost both my parents in the same three years. Our son is the one that took all of our hurt and sorrow internally. He cried with us and made us food and took care of our whole family during these times in our lives. Unfortunately he felt exhausted and could not do it anymore and took to other vices. First, smoking marijuana, then dabs, then pills, and in two years was a mess. This program is teaching him to live with pain and guilt. I love this program. It is bringing our son home sober, very knowledgeable and strong. We may be rich with money but being with someone I love and would die for sober.....is a blessing. Thank you Ryan for being the son we need you could be.

Veronica should train every CNA. She was the most professional, kindest and attentive CNA. Thank you Irma for delivering me to my car with a smile and a wave goodbye. The entire physical therapy team were great. Maureen, the occupational therapist assistant, was the most caring, positive and thorough . She was the only one who started me on Diathermy first, and she was spot on using that therapy on me! Nurse Evanie, who distributed meds was so cheery, kind and professional. She listened to my needs and acted promptly! I never waited long. The facility is kept super clean and maintenance crew like Hilda, Pedro and Lu Lu entered the room without loud chatter and were respectful and considerate of my needs to not have strong cleaners on the floor due to my respiratory condition. This place is not the modern remodeled kind but the care and cleanliness really matters a lot. The food was mostly very tasty. They happily substituted anything on the menu. The only change I would like to see is syrup without high fructose corn syrup and creamer without artificial ingredients If I didn't mention all staff by name, I still thank everyone for making my difficult time a little easier. I wanted to take a moment to thank your team for everything they did on my behalf during that time. Your entire nursing team on Station 2 where I was located was so welcoming and helpful to a new and extremely anxious arrival like myself. I must give special mention to CNAs Veronica and Alma with whom I spent the majority of my time. They were always attentive and cheerful when I needed it most. Assistant Director of Nursing Mike Lamb also went out of his way to assist me when I had questions or concerns about my situation. The Physical Therapy team was fantastic in their approach to my healing. Primarily led by Ted and Jurbee, my PT sessions became the best part of my day. Their expertise and advice produced immediate results and made me feel much more confident in my ultimate recovery. Finally, your Administrative team- Meredith Shipley, Erin Hickey and Crystal Islas provided the patient related information I needed to relieve undue stress from the moment I was admitted to the day of my release. Again, special mention to Erin and Crystal for their efficiency. Both went above and beyond to assist me with scheduling doctors appointments and home nursing follow-up. As I am facing additional surgery there is a good chance I will be admitted to rehab again within the next few months. I will be sure to specifically request your facility. You are very fortunate to have such a professional, skilled and compassionate group of people working with you in the service of others struggling with various health challenges. Please let everyone there know what a difference they make and how very much they are appreciated!
