For the entire year both of my kids have seen their same therapist (seems to be low turnover here). Their therapists, Meredith and Courtney, spent some time upfront evaluating their needs. They then set some goals for them using the results of the evaluation as well as parental input. Each session they work on a couple of their goals. Sometimes my kids pair up with each other for part of the session, sometimes they work with other kids. I love that there is a bit of socializing involved in their sessions. At the end of each session the therapists take a few minutes to go over what was worked on, give a preview of what is next or talk about how what was worked on can be supported at home. Most importantly, my kids love going. They think they are just there to have fun. They don't realize that what they are doing is working on things that will set them up for success in the future.

I actually loved going to therapy even though I knew it would hurt doing it, because the people who worked there were so knowledgeable, supportive, and encouraging, beginning with Tiara the receptionist, who always greeted me with a warm smile and inquiry into my well-being as soon as I walked in. Very warm and genuine, you knew she really cared. Meg Barr was my main therapist and she was a wealth of knowledge, having earned her doctorate degree, as have many others at Therafit. Meg was always coming up with new exercises and methods for getting my ankles to stretch and move in ways that they had forgotten. Always upbeat, she was very thorough, from taking measurements in order to actually show me my physical progress every few weeks to coming up with new effective exercises often disguised as play or games, to designing my custom exercise program I could do at home, letting me know she would continue to be available if I had any questions or needed any help even after I was released. No two therapy sessions were ever the same or boring, thanks to Meg and my other therapist, Hunter, a good-looking red-headed guy who gently challenged me every single session but always had me laughing about something with his wry humor and observations about life as well as personal funny stories. I never could decide which of my 2 therapists was my favorite but was convinced I somehow got the two best therapists not just at Therafit Rehab, but in the whole state. However, I am sure the other therapists at Therafit Rehab were equally as qualified and as good as Meg and Hunter are. Even the other patients seemed to me to be a cut above normal, it is such a warm and welcoming place. Everyone you encountered there felt like your own encouraging, loving, caring family. I honestly loved going despite the pain that would usually last for a couple more days afterwards, and I absolutely hated when I had to miss a session. Its been over a month since my release from Therafit and I miss going! I simply cannot recommend this place highly enough!

An hour before my appointment, they called to let me know the therapist I booked was not working that day and they forgot to update Alma. They rescheduled me for 07/08/24. To no surprise, I did not receive a call. I checked my email confirmation to ensure I provided the correct number. I called their office 443-367-1333 3xs unable to reach a live person. A rep reached out to me an hour after my scheduled call to ask if I'd like to be re-scheduled yet again for the following day. As if finding a therapist is not already a daunting enough process, places like CHWG and their lack of professionalism and courtesy are reasons why people do not seek help.
