I used to go to iSpa pretty regularly and was even willing to drive over an hour to get here…read morebecause I loved the atmosphere so much. They put a lot of effort into recreating the feel of a traditional Korean village in their jjimjilbang and rest area, and it really does make you feel like you've been transported to Korea. The women's soaking pools are also spacious. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was really disappointing. The jjimjilbang rooms were noticeably cooler than I remembered. Most of them were barely warm enough to make me sweat, and even the hottest room didn't feel hot at all. At first, I assumed something was malfunctioning, which I would have completely understood. However, I asked the front desk and was told that these are going to be their regular temperatures moving forward because they had been cited by the health department for the rooms being too hot. I understand that they have to comply with health department requirements, but for someone who specifically comes here for the traditional Korean sauna experience, this completely changes the experience for me. If I'm going to a sauna, I expect to sweat. The LA weather outside honestly feels hotter than some of the sauna rooms now. It's unfortunate because iSpa used to be worth the hour-plus drive for me, and I genuinely loved coming here. The atmosphere is still beautiful and unique, but without the heat I expect from a Korean sauna, I don't think I'll be making the drive back.

There are 2 Revibe locations, one in Costa Mesa, and another in Irvine. I've only been to the Irvine location which is close to the John Wayne Airport. You might be asking, what is contrast therapy. Well, it's not a new phenomenon, but simply put, it's alternating between heat and cold water immersion (cold plunge) to improve circulation, reduce pain, and recover faster. Fitness and martial arts are a huge part of my life. Recovery is such an important part of such a lifestyle. Research shows that contrast therapy lessens muscle fatigue and decreases pain, swelling, and lactic acid build up following intense exercise. What I love about Revibe is that you can experience contrast therapy in a private suite that has its own cold plunge and infrared sauna. The facility is clean and they also offer a separate shower room. Pricing varies from single use to monthly memberships and packages. If you're interesting in experiencing the benefits of contrast therapy, I highly recommend Revibe OC.

You spend a few minutes 3-5 minutes in the cold plunge and then about 10-15 minutes in the sauna. I literally felt pins and needles throughout my body immediately, but it felt even better getting out and going into the sauna. I only lasted about 40 seconds lol but plan to continue adding on more time once I'm used to it and mentally prepared. It's a great way to bond, recover, and relax. It's definitely a VIBE! We plan to continue coming back as we both felt so refreshed and rejuvenated.

Chanel is awesome and always has great energy, Tea is great, and really the entire staff makes it a fun, welcoming place to come to. I'm also a big fan of the actual saunas. I've tried several other places that were a little cheaper, and you quickly realize why. Doors that don't fully close, tiny rooms, not enough space, etc. These saunas are legit. I'm 5'9" and can comfortably stand inside with plenty of room above my head. They're wide enough that I can extend my arms, the doors actually seal properly, there's a TV, speakers inside the sauna, plenty of towels, and even the bathroom is always clean and well kept. It was nice there was a call right after I got scheduled to make sure I knew I was doing and if I've ever been to Perspire before. They made sure to go over everything in detail. Parking shouldn't be an issue as it's in a little corner of the plaza. I actually liked it a lot more than Perspire since there is a small and large size Sauna. I like that it did get hotter than Perspire and did a little bit of cardio on the bike before hand to help increase the efficiency of the Sauna. Infrared is outside and you stand there 5 mins facing both sides. Pretty easy to use. There are goggles if you need but he explained to me it's healthy for you if you close your eyes and face it as well. It's not too too bright. I love that the towel was ICE cold on this ice plate as well. Everything was awesome thanks so much for the experience.

Troy and the team make you feel like family from the second you walk in. Nobody's trying to sell you anything. They take the time to explain how everything works and why certain therapies go well together. You can tell they actually care about getting you results not just getting you to swipe your card.
