It's never orange or streaky...perfectly airbrushed to the contours of my body and as dark as my skin can take without looking fake (which by the way is maaaany shades darker than my natural pasty tone). The tan makes me look sexier, slimmer, younger, and hides the imperfections on my body (like stretch marks and cellulite). It's like full body make up and it stays on for almost 2 weeks! I've also gotten compliments on smelling good afterwards, which I never expected from a spray tan. Makes sense because Shannon has her products specially formulated by an out of state expert and shipped in. Not your typical tan in a can. Shannon is very professional and nice...no worries about getting in the buff with her! Overall it's a fun, pampering experience with many rewards to reap over the following couple weeks. However, a day after my spray, my feet started to look very and I sent a picture to the stylist and putting lotion on my feet and scrubbing it with bar soap because my feet were very discolored and didn't seem to take well to the spray tan. I can tell you that today is Wednesday and I don't even look like I've gotten a spray tan and I had my spray tan done five days ago. This isn't my first spray tan, but I'm very disappointed with the experience and especially paying what I paid I expected it to last a little bit longer and it barely lasted three days.

Several years ago I used to go to South Beach locations all the time but then I took a break from…read moreself tanning due to health reason and just recently I decided it was time to go back and this location is closest to my house. I love that regardless of the time that my information was still in their system on what I previously got, which beds, spray time, times, etc and that it was simple to just set everything up again. I went back right before my trip to Cabo since it had been years since I had actually been in sunlight for any real time periods but my natural color, given my heritage is pretty dark. I was happy to see that they had a special going on for the rest of the real that would cover both the regular tanning and spray tan for a reasonable price. Each time I have gone into this location, I am greeted with a smiling face and warm Welcome and I haven't had to wait more than 45 seconds to get into a room yet.

My problem is with the recent buyout by Zoom tan and the changes they are making. They have changed their hours to 10-8 Monday thru Friday and 10-5 Saturday and Sunday. I assume that the thought is south beach members could go to a zoom tan 24 hour location if they want to tan after South Beach closes. The thought is valid, if I wanted to drive an additional 19 minutes, tan in a stand up coffin size (or smaller) tanning booth and get claustrophobic, and not have the purpose of my tanning experience to be in a lay down bed for my 12 minutes or relaxation while listening to good music. South Beach tanning was very customer oriented - they had Kleenex in all booths to wipe lotion off hands after applying lotion, they had deodorant in case you needed a boost for after tanning, they have many different levels of lay down booths to rotate for better tanning experiences and better tanning quality, and they had a fantastic selection of lotions by Devoted. Now the deodorant, klennex are done. Lotion selection is less than half of the options as before, there is a horrible rumor that they are going to remove the lay down booths and only offer small coffin size stand up booths, and the worst of all is that many of the wonderful staff that worked there have left. While Rachel the manager is still there (thank goodness) customer service is not the same. South Beach was busy most all the time and now it isn't. And it is a real shame because it is the best tanning salon around when operating as South Beach. Maybe the new owner should think about the customers and why we are loyal to South Beach and she should concentrating on leaving the successful business at South Beach'a business model alone as it was very successful. Maybe she should leave the lay down booths alone for those of us who never want to stand up (especially for those of us who are curvy and don't like claustrophobia, and fix the hours back to support the customers. Maybe the lost business would also come back. The changes are not positive.
