I was led to a room that hadn't been cleaned (pics attached). The woman refused to wax me because my hair was too short. I explained to her that is just my hair and it will come out. I've been waxed many times before. We argued back and forth and she finally threw wax on me for a test patch. The hair came out and she proceeded to sloppily dump wax all over me. She dumped wax over my 14 carat gold permanent anklet (welded on to me). She ripped off the anklet and basically ruined it. She then haphazardly spent 2 minutes waxing me and then dumped oil all over me and my shorts which are also now ruined. I asked her to put some oil on my anklet to try to save it, minimal effort was put in to salvaging it. Thankfully I'm getting laser hair removal and will not need to come back here ever again.

I've never had an incident as one that I had this past Saturday. The girl that was doing my Wax was new. She told me she was new when I walked into the room. There was no plastic on the table. In the room, she said I'm new. I'm gonna hope you don't mind that I'm new. I will have someone in here to watch to make sure everything goes accordingly. Are you OK with this? She asked I said, of course I'm fine. I've had new girls before. She starts to apply the Wax as she's doing this. She has a problem lifting the Wax off of me. She continues to put more wax on and gets sticker and she is unable to get the wax off of me mind you I am laying on the table for over 15 minutes with this girl, trying to pull the Wax off of me I told you to stop to get someone in there. Im new to Tampa and walked by PiaDay Spa. It is well established and tons of reviews so I figured they must be doing something right. I ended up purchasing a facial with microdermabrasion and a scalp treatment which wasn't inexpensive by any means but it's a day spa and you pay for that time to get your treatment and relax. Timing wise, these two services alone would both have me at the spa for at least two hours. -----I was there for an hour and 25 minutes. Aside from being gipped on time considerably, the estheticians technique was rushed, and lacked serious intention. The overall vibe was lackluster and inexperienced (just doing a job to have a job ) I felt like I wasted my money a little bit so I was disappointed!

Well, fast forward into my 40s, I start to realize that I need a little more help in looking my best and start to see the value of getting them. Between working night shift, not getting enough sleep, and just everyday stress in general, it really starts to show on my skin and I don't quite bounce back the way I used to, so facials are a great way to help brighten my complexion. I was introduced to Glomour Medispa thanks to a yelpie event (because I can always count on Yelp to introduce me to some of the best experiences) and I was so impressed with the service and results of the most basic facial, that I decided to come back. Angela is great to work with, easy going, and listened to me about what my needs and goals were for my facial. She gave me time to change and talked me through everything since it had been a while. The wax temperature was just right, and she used a method that didn't require stripping sheets, which was much more comfortable. What really helped? Jori's friendly conversation.
