Do not go to this place. It's filled with immature, catty college girls who work there. They are condescending and rude. They are more interested in trying to show how smart they are than trying to be helpful and meet your needs. The issue is, I am aware and I understand, and yet they want to talk to you like you're a kid who knows nothing and wants to talk to you like you are in elementary school. The beds are nice, but the cattiness and rude behavior is uncalled for, especially from the manager. Sometimes you give a young college person a chance to manage and they act like they are on a power trip. A lot of the times the beds were not clean either. They are too busy gossiping. When I tried to contact the corporate office they were like, "They are college kids, what do you expect?" That says it all right there. So I do not recommend this place at all. read more

Several years ago I used to go to South Beach locations all the time but then I took a break from self tanning due to health reason and just recently I decided it was time to go back and this location is closest to my house. I love that regardless of the time that my information was still in their system on what I previously got, which beds, spray time, times, etc and that it was simple to just set everything up again. I went back right before my trip to Cabo since it had been years since I had actually been in sunlight for any real time periods but my natural color, given my heritage is pretty dark. I was happy to see that they had a special going on for the rest of the real that would cover both the regular tanning and spray tan for a reasonable price. Each time I have gone into this location, I am greeted with a smiling face and warm Welcome and I haven't had to wait more than 45 seconds to get into a room yet. read more

This is my go to place for vacation prep to build a base tan. Monthly membership, package deals and single session options. I go with whatever works for my schedule and timeframe. Service is friendly and not your typical tanning salon where the lotion sales are aggressive. SB seems to get to know their customers. The Gold level beds are always clean and well kept. I've noticed an inconsistency with heat -busy days or brand new bulbs will be hotter than usual. Worth keeping in mind when first starting out. read more

I've been coming here for about a year I've tried their tanning beds and spray tans, every time I come in they always perfectly answer any questions that I might have. The tanning beds and spray tan machines are always very clean. They also always have great recommendations for how long I should use the tanning bed and what color will best suit me. read more

A bit hit and miss with the staff here. I wish I'd got the names of the girls because some are definitely more knowledgeable than others. If you don't have much tanning experience, make sure you research the recommended timing on a bed for your skin type first. When I first went in, both the girls were friendly and had a fairly good idea of what I should do. When I went in for the third time, the girl said "do you want the full time". Clearly looking at me that would be a terrible idea (I'm Norwegian). She said I should be okay doing a couple of minutes longer than I did before, so I did. I felt my skin tingling so I got out with a minute left and I still burned. Definitely trust your own knowledge if you're used to tanning like I am, but the staff should be better educated. If I'd done the full time it would have been awful. I did appreciate that they don't constantly try to get you to buy lotion like so many other salons do. Definitely a bonus. read more

LOVE THIS PLACE ! Had amazing deals for the holiday , I was in a wedding and I needed a quick tan . Great Hours , tried a few of the beds in which were all clean , the color i got was great , and each bed had music which you dont find to often . All of the staff was super thorough and friendly and unlike most places did not try and push anything on you which was nice for a change ! This tanning salon is a little bit of a trip for me but it is well worth it to get good service and great color ! Also did the airbrush tan believe it or not it lasted over a week , i never turned orange , and the girls were very helpful explaining in detail how things worked ! BUYERS BEWARE!!!! Had to cancel a tanning subscription after a year of continuous service. They charged me anyways, and then would only offer store credit instead of a refund. When I complained to coporate, I received a rude email in response, basically calling me a liar about cancelling, stating they have a flawless computer system that could never make a mistake. I reported them to the better business bureau, and am in the process of getting my money back that they STOLE, by making a claim with my bank. It makes me sick to my stomach that I gave these thieves my credit card information, so that they can make unauthorized charges to my account. I m just trying to warn people. There are MANY other tanning salons to choose from, and ones that do not require you to give them your credit card number. These people really treated me like #$%$, and I was a good customer to them for a long time. read more

My experience at the south beach tanning company has been more than incredible. Let me tell you about myself, I was very self conscious about the color complex I was given. I wasn't pale but I was also not tan, as you can see I was in a world of distress because of the predetermined genetics that lead to the color of my skin. Self tanners didn't do it for me, I looked like a combination of Doritos and highlighters. I was unhappy. finally after bottoming out at home with a bottle of self tanner and got myself set up at south beach with a tanning package. Thanks to Ashley's tanning plan I'm the envy of all my friends, I've got my bronze skin today and I don't have to self tan again. My confidence is at an all time high and I can live my life with the joy of knowing my skin is beautiful and I am beautiful. Thank you south beach for everything. read more

South Beach Tanning is an excellent choice for high quality tanning. The people who work there are excellent and they know a lot about the beds and lotions. The prices are a little high but you do get what you pay for. My only wish is they would get some tanning pillows as it is hard to lie down comfortably without them. I didn't sign up for this bed by choice, my wonderful bed closed unfortunately, and my membership was deferred. Initial reaction, the place is pretty cool. Everything is decorated nicely, beds clean, LOTS of neon....but the beds aren't as good as my former place, for what I'm paying. It's more money if I want to bump to the higher beds. I do like that I haven't had to wait at all at the times I've been there, they have a decent amount of tanning beds. Also, you can't go to tan without them trying to sell you on something, typically lotion. That is frustrating to me, I don't want to get a sales pitch every time I visit the establishment to tan. Another frustration that I have is that there is nothing to rest your head on in the bed. I have to bring in an extra towel so that my head isn't laying directly on fiberglass. read more

Watch Facebook, and every few months a groupon for 3 spray tans for $25 comes out. Their veraspa spray tan is great. Instant bronzing plus extra color in a few hours. Tonight when I went into the oldsmar location, I asked a question about a tanning bed. The extremely untrained and disrespectful employee responded with snarky remarks. A customer next to me broke out in laughter, in which I left your location in tears. I have never felt so belittled. I have NEVER been treated like this as a customer from any location. Despite what I've seen from recent posts and reviews; I totally disagree with the negative comments and reviews. I've been tanning here for years and yes sometimes there is new staff and they may not be as educated about product as some of the other veterans but it's always a great quiet and peaceful atmosphere. I never feel pressured or given a sales pitch when I go. These beds are always kept to high standards with bulbs changed frequently. I got STAGE 3 SKIN CANCER from using their tanning beds. You always think it'll never happen to you until it does. After 2 surgeries, I now have to get 3 years of immuno/chemotherapy treatment. When I called the front desk to tell them why I am cancelling and why I wont be coming back to sign cancelation papers, the girl could care less & had the nerve to give me an attitude. But I expected nothing less as knew exactly who the girl was as I have dealt with her "tude" before. Some of the front desk girls always have been impersonal, lacked customer service skills & only cared about making a sell anyway. Just say NO to tanning beds. Don't learn the hard way. read more

She explained all tiers of service, and gave me a nice tour of the facilities. She explained the different lotion types, tanning bed types, etc. Couldn't say the experience could've went any better. I've never had an issue with South Beach Tanning Co. in Oldsmar Fl. The staff has always been super friendly and helpful, they even know me by name, even after being out for 3 months! One of the staff member even recalled there was one bed I didn't like (just a matter of preference, not that there's anything wrong with it), couldn't believe she would remember such a thing! The beds are always clean, and so is the facility, and I've never had any issues getting a session in. I've used there "freeze my membership" option and I think it's a great idea so you don't lose the rate you're given when you first sign up. I've never been charged more than what they say they will charge, even when it's "frozen" I've not been billed. I would highly recommend this facility, and I personally won't be going anywhere else for my sessions! read more
