5/5 I've been coming…read morehere for 3 years, and as a young African American man, I'll be honest--when I first started, I was a little immature about the process. I didn't understand it and I was nervous. But after having a real conversation with the staff about the benefits and why people do this, everything changed. This has become one of the best things I've ever done for myself. I feel great after every session. The staff is truly incredible. Every time I come in, they make me feel safe and comfortable--like I'm their own family. They're patient, they're welcoming, and they always take their time with me. If you're a male 35 or under and you're checking Yelp because you're curious or unsure, I'm telling you: come in, talk to the staff, and try it out. You'll probably end up writing a review just like this. And one more tip--doing sessions back-to-back made the experience even better for me. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Wow Thank you San Francisco Colonics!…read more After visiting nearly every colonic clinic in San Francisco, I'm confident SF Colonics is the best overall! With over 10 years of experience studying public health and holistic health, I've been on a personal wellness journey myself. Regular colonics have been a major factor in my overall health improvement, alongside exercise. The gut, often referred to as our "second brain," is central to physical, emotional, and mental well-being, and SF Colonics truly understands this. The LIBBE system they use is ideal for my needs. From my first visit, I felt comfortable making it a part of my routine. With affordable rates, a highly skilled staff, and a quiet, comfortable setting, SF Colonics truly is top-notch. I appreciate that each member of the staff has personal experience with gut health. Their empathy, knowledge, and genuine passion are evident in every interaction--and that's something I haven't encountered across the board at other clinics, with business ultimately being the bottom line :-( SF Colonics feels refreshingly personal and supportive Whenever I have a question, the staff takes time to provide thoughtful answers. If they don't know the answer right away, they're honest and even offer to look into it. After having major abdominal surgery twenty years ago, my journey to optimal gut health has been a long one. I started with 1-2 treatments per week, and I'm now down to about three sessions a month, seeing incredible improvements. In just three months, my overall health and well-being have improved from a 5 to a 7.5, scale 1-10. Sometimes, I add their organic, on-site brewed coffee to my treatment--it's a game changer, The team at SF Colonics helped me understand how my liver has been overworking due to gallbladder removal from surgery. Improvements I've noticed include: * Increased energy and less fatigue * Reduced brain fog * Better motivation and drive * Improved skin (less inflammation, reduced hyperpigmentation, and more hydration) * Enhanced digestion, more regular bowel movements * Fewer food cravings * Weight loss & reduced belly bloat (down 4 pounds) * Overall better hydration and improved urination * Better sleep (also due to digestion) * Noticeable difference in my mental health, fewer mood swings, less depression I'd say definitely give them a try. You may become a fan, just like me. After all, you have nothing to lose but the bloat!

Many of them could take a lesson from Kaureen's space when it comes to maintaining a clean, sterile, and elegantly designed environment that feels both airy and inviting. For seasoned colonic clients, a few key factors are essential: - Exceptional cleanliness of the facility - Single-use supplies to ensure hygiene and safety - Knowledgeable practitioners who bring expertise and care to the experience - A high standard of service that prioritizes both comfort and professionalism I first met Kaureen in 2016 at her San Mateo location, where she offered a range of services, including: - Colonics - IV Nutrient Therapy - MIC & Vitamin Injections At the time, I took advantage of all her offerings, as she held an active RN license. While colonic practitioners in the U.S. have never been required to hold a state-issued license; Kaureen's medical background and deep expertise have always been evident in her practice. Though she has since streamlined her services at her Mission Colonic location to focus exclusively on colonics, her wealth of knowledge remains unchanged. Her inactive nursing license in no way diminishes her skill, professionalism, or commitment to excellence. I truly appreciate Kaureen's consistency, thoroughness, and dedication to maintaining an immaculate space that prioritizes both safety and client comfort. Her unwavering commitment to quality service is something to be admired!

Nobody asked for a Kabuki vs OnsenSF comparison, but here…read moreyou go. 1. $$$ Price Kabuki is $49/pp 2.5 hrs OnsenSF in the tenderloin is $50/pp 2 hours 2. Environment & Ambience: Kabuki has a much wider space, calming music, great ambience, wonderful smells and decor. OnsenSF is a dining space when you enter and spa in the back. Everything looks modern and nice, relaxing environment despite being located in the tenderloin. 3. Hot Tub: Kabuki has a rectangle shaped hot tub as opposed to OnsenSF's square shaped tub. 4. Cold plunge: Kabuki has a cold plunge that's perfect for people who don't need it to be extremely freezing. OnsenSF has a cold shower with many heads in place of a cold plunge. Both are enjoyable experiences 5. Steam Room: Kabuki's steam room is also rectangular as opposed to OnsenSF's square room. Kabuki's steam room also has a shower to rinse off excess salt and sweat before entering the common area. 6. Showers: At Kabuki, there's also a line of stools for the seated handheld showers where you can fill a tub of water and pour it over yourself in addition to the traditional shower stalls, where OnsenSF only has the traditional showers if I recall correctly. 7. Sauna: The sauna was great because you could adjust the heat by moving up the wooden bleachers. There was also plenty of space to stretch out and lie down. There were wooden half-cylinder blocks to place under the neck and back to promote blood flow. My partner's favorite standout was the salt scrub they have that's free to take at the refreshments table. You use it to scrub away dead skin in the shower and steam room. My favorite was the bowl of towels buried in ice cubes that helped me keep a cool head in the hot tub and sauna room. I will say that the thing that makes OnsenSF stand out is their dining pop-ups, but there's plenty of dining options on Fillmore and in Japantown. I would definitely go back to Kabuki again. The experience was incredibly relaxing. Highly recommend.

Possibly the best bathhouse in the Bay Area…read more Kabuki Springs is tucked away off a busy street in Japantown and feels like a portal to another dimension, one full of warm water, a quiet atmosphere, and plenty of lemon ginger tea. I was instantly drawn to how intentional everything feels here, from the dark wood of the sauna to the sleek tile in the showers. It feels carefully crafted to be both modern and timeless, with the Japanese motif flowing through all of the design. Personally, I love the dim lighting in the baths; with no windows, it feels like time is suspended. Is it midday, or midnight? Sunny, stormy? Early, late? You can't really tell when you're there, and that feels like the point. It's an escape in its truest, most relaxing sense. Attendants are constant in the baths, which makes it feel far more luxurious than what the price would suggest. Cucumber, lemon, or plain water are all on tap, as are iced hand towels, salt scrubs for the steam room, and hot lemon ginger tea. I loved how cups are encouraged to be reused (I hate seeing the giant pile of single-use cups in the trash at other spas). I'm holding out hope, however, that traditional green tea may make an appearance in the future! I'd recommend attending on one of the single-gender days, as I found that lent itself best to the fully immersive experience. Shower sandals are available, though I found them a bit uncomfortable. Next time I'll be sure to bring my own. As a bathhouse enthusiast, I cannot recommend this place enough. I can't wait to bring my friends here to learn for themselves just how relaxing and rejuvenating the sauna, steam, soak, and plunge rotation can be.

As part of the protocol, my naturopath had me get many colonics at Body Harmony. In fact, the colonics were once-per-week for my six-week DMSA protocol (DMSA is a pretty intense heavy metal removal medication). I later learned that the whole reason my naturopath wanted me to stay in the Bay Area for that year was so I could receive colonics from Anne, the owner of Body Harmony -- it was that important to the detox process. My experience with Anne was so incredibly beneficial, and I feel so fortunate to have been able to work with her on my heavy metal detox. She's such a seasoned, talented and intuitive colonic practitioner - it is truly her calling. I feel that the work we did together, as well as using Anne's infrared sauna, truly helped me to achieve the very best result from my detox. At the start of the DMSA detox, I had off-the-charts high levels of mercury in my system, and my lead levels were also extremely high. By the end, those levels were in the "normal" range, and other metals had also been significantly reduced. Hallelujah! I truly appreciate Anne's role in those spectacular results. In addition to her expertise and professionalism, Anne is personable and easy to talk to. She makes you feel comfortable doing something that would otherwise be fairly uncomfortable for most of us. And her space is clean, warm and friendly. Maple the friendly cavapoo who is sometimes in the office is the cherry on top!

Her response over 3 years later just rehashed my experience BUT [aside from one inaccuracy], she makes a few valid points. In recent times, we are facing suppression of free speech, domestic terrorism and just this "unkindness" toward each other. I am SO heartbroken. I have no idea what this world is coming to.
