Been two years since my cabinets were painted by this company. I sorely regret hiring! Owner is semi retired and absent! Nobody was young or competent! Paid $175/foot so they charge a mint for shoddy work! The small kitchen cabinetry took over a month to be completed and my house was filthy. They're very poorly trained! Never hire unless the owner/manager is present. Come by and check out the hundredths of defects! read more

We used The Young Professionals to repaint the inside of our house. The team who worked at our place (Lizzie, Lawrence, Jeff under the supervision of Evan) was exceptional. They were professional, efficient and reliable. Communication was easy. We did a final walk through with the team and they took care of all the touch-ups we requested. read more

We were able to get confirmation from Benjamin Moore that the paint should NOT be chipping & that it was a technique/application issue. We then contacted the owner and he came out to see the chips & nicks and had his worker come out to re-sand, primer and touch up the areas that needed it. Owner said it's "under warranty" for the life of the cabinets as long as we live there so they'll continue to come out as needed. I've increased my rating since they fixed most of the areas. I still don't think the cabinets line up so won't give them 5 stars. read more

They did an excellent job repainting my home (inside). Very patient with me and also took on some small projects like installing new closet doors. They used good primer and lots of tape, also carefully protected my brand new floors. They sanded down and repainted all the door frames and they look brand new. The crew was extremely nice and did thoughtful things like be careful to shut the gates so my dog didn't get out. Any concern I had they addressed immediately. They are worth every penny! read more

We contracted with Evan for repainting our detached garage which was covered in creeping fig and in pretty sad shape. Evan's team Mark and Manny removed all the ivy, repaired the stucco and dry rot, applied two coats of thick primer and two coats of color. The result is immaculate! The crew was super nice to work with, careful and very considerate. This was the second time we'd used them and remain pleased with their work and professionalism. read more

We've hired Evan to do several small jobs around our home and have always been pleased with his work. So, when we decided it was time to redo our huge bonus room, we called Evan. In two days, he and his amazing crew transformed this room, and it was no small task! They installed new casings around all the windows and sliding doors, fixed seams and edges of a paneled wall, added moldings and trim, made an old, open beam, paneled ceiling look brand new. And, oh, yeah, they pained all the walls, too, including the horrible paneled wall. I LOVE this room now! These men were a wonderful team. They were on time, very neat, courteous and conscientious! I am hobbling around on a broken ankle and they always made sure I could get around my home safely and easily. I am completely impressed by their work, work ethic and professionalism. read more

We hired The Young Professionals (TYP) to paint the interior of our 3100 square foot home. We solicited 3 bids and based upon the thoroughness of the proposal we selected TYP. TYP did a fantastic job. Their team is professional, courteous, nice to be around, and went above and beyond to do a great job for us. They even did things that we didn't expect such as carefully covering every surface, moving furniture, and more. Our home looks and feels brand new. I recommend The Young Professionals with complete confidence. They will do a wonderful job painting your home, give you a fair deal, and leave you feeling completely satisfied. read more

A great choice for quality work at a reasonable price! Evan was on time for our appointment, very professional and was a great communicator. Our job required some restoration of old kitchen cabinets and wall and trim that had not been painted in many years. Jeremy, who did our painting, was a very pleasant, hard worker who took immense care to be conscientious and do things correctly and efficiently. Our job was completed on time. Thank you Evan and Jeremy again for your help to make our condo look beautiful again! read more

We contacted Evan to help us with a project that included adding trim to an outdoor Pergola, then painting it and also an outdoor fireplace. His crew was creative and came up with some ideas others had not thought of. They kept us informed along the way with what they were doing and how long each phase would take. Evan would call me, to go over pricing if anything changed. We added more than we first discussed and planned, but though effective communication, we were comfortable along the way. The outcome was fantastic. We have already told some of friends and will definitely use the team at TYP in the future. We have used other Painters before, and this has been the best experience. read more

I was shopping around my patio painting project, and everything worked like a charm at first. Evan called me, we agreed on a day for him to come by for a quote, he showed up on time, it was a pleasant conversation, and I received a bid the next day as was promised. I accepted the bid, and after that, it was like interacting with Evan's alter-ego. There was no response to my emails trying to get the project scheduled. I was given the run around on the phone as well. Evan was either "at a conference" or "busy at a client's site" and would "call me when he called me." Of course, the call never came. I thought it most unprofessional. He shouldn't have wasted my time or his if he had zero intention of proceeding with the work. Luckily, I found a far more conscientious and responsive service and am pleased with the outcome of my project. I guess I dodged a bullet with Young (un-)Professionals! read more

I used The Young Professionals to paint my kitchen remodel project a few years ago and was very happy with the results. I called them again for some other painting in my home and outside patio. Evan was very responsive with coming by to review the request and provided a quote within a day. The workers are very professional and pay attention to detail in addition to cleaning up after themselves. They got everything done before the holiday too. I'm very happy with using this company and will do so again in the future. read more

They came out next day! I asked for one wall to be painted and they stayed the whole day and painted four walls and the ceiling. I am so impressed with the quality of their work. Excellent attention to detail and not a fleck of dust or paint to clean up afterward. Will absolutely use again and definitely recommend. Not worth your time to do work like this yourself. Use the professionals! read more

I had posted a brief review and they appealed it on the grounds that it didn't contain "substantive criticism" or something like that. My original review essentially read "they are neither", referring to the fact that 1. the guy we dealt with was over 40 years old, and 2. his team of lackeys cracked a few of the antique window panes when they prepped the job and refused to take responsibility by either fixing them or refunding part of their fee. So my original rating stands, old boy. read more

I hired The Young Professionals to paint the whole interior of 3600 square foot house. Evan, the owner and his team worked hard to complete this extensive paint job. They did lots of preparation before they starting painting. They did a superb job, and the price was reasonable. I look forward to hiring The Young Professionals again to paint the exterior of a house. Since I was getting the wood floors done at the same time, the painters had to coordinated their work with Leslie Hardwood Flooring in San Jose, who also did an excellent job refinishing our water damaged and dirty stained wood floors. I hired Jim Millman for a small job, but his work was not as good. They didn't do a lot of preparation before they started. The Young Professionals were much better read more

I am extremely positively impressed with the texturing job done by Eric C. He came to the house 4 minutes early. Retyped and textured the ceiling after a fan installation. His work took a bumpy ceiling and removed the old joint taping , added new taping. He feathered the mud so that the ceiling looks level. Thank you Eric read more

We hired Evan to paint the ceilings in our small condo. Evan and crew did an excellent job and got the work done in a timely fashion. We had an issue in several areas where the ceiling met the wall (a result of textured ceilings and smooth walls) and Evan came back out to fix all issues and was extremely professional! We will use Young Professionals again. read more

I have done Business with this company for 3-4 years now. They get ALL my work when it comes to patching, texturing, and finishing sheet rock. They also will prime & paint as well. Evan and crew worked on the inside of my house in 2013 and again in 2014. They did a great job replacing the popcorn ceilings, putting in new lighting, a ceiling fan, and painting eight rooms. (They also did a great job coordinating with other contractors.) So, in 2016, when the exterior needed paint and repair, I again called the Young Professionals. They painted and repaired the stucco. They also replaced some wood trim that had rotted, rebuilt a window box ledge, and replaced the wood slats on the roof of a pergola. Everything got multiple coats of paint and the whole house looks new. The bid came in right where I expected and the job started and finished right on time. If I need anything else done in the future, they'll get the call. read more

Evan and his crew were recommended by a friend. Their work is exceptional, and their attention to detail is great!! They were professional, friendly, and their quality of work is top notch. When I left to do a few errands, I came back to a finished room, and they even put furniture and everything else back in place! Their cleanup is great, and that is something that is always appreciated. I will definitely use them again! read more

We had extensive water damage to the ceiling of our kitchen and wanted any repair to be invisible. Young Professionals did a great drywall repair and painted the area. I can't tell where the ceiling was repaired. I am glad I called them. read more

After receiving a recommendation from a neighbor, I contacted Evan. He was very responsive and we set up an appointment for him to give me a quote to paint the exterior of my house and a couple of rooms in the house. While we walked around the house I mentioned I wanted to update my porch. Evan has a carpenter that works for him and said he could get me a quote. While we were walking through the living room I pointed out a really huge crack in the ceiling drywall. Evan has a specialist who repairs drywall. Then as we moved into the kitchen I mentioned I was considering new cabinets and would like to replace the countertop someday. Evan said his team could refinish my existing cabinets and he works with a granite and marble contractor that he could recommend. Before you know it, I had everything lined up. His team is fantastic. It was a pleasure to have Rob and Henry at the house. They showed up every morning about 7AM and worked until 4PM. They were so hard working and paid close attention to all the details. They even hung porch lights for me. They are such wonderful guys and I completely trusted them in my home. Six weeks later everything was done. The exterior is beautiful and I love my new porch. I swear it looks like a new house. The living room and dining room turned out perfect and that crack in the ceiling is completely gone. They went into the attic to secure it and then refinished it so you would never be able to tell a crack was ever there. They removed wallpaper in the kitchen and painted. They removed one cabinet and refinished the rest. I had granite countertops installed. My kitchen is just what I wanted. These guys are the best and their pricing is very reasonable. I plan to have them back to paint my office and one of the bedrooms. I will never use another painting contractor. read more

We hired The Young Professionals as our exposed exterior wood beams were suffering from some rot and weathering and in dire need of repair and paint before the winter rains. Evan worked around the forecasted weather to get our job done expediently and the workmanship was beyond our expectations. The damaged wood in one area was beyond repair and his team did and excellent job in seamlessly replacing the damaged area with a new section of wood beam. Evan's team were all extremely courteous, hardworking and reliable. We also had them finish our overdue projects including painting all our trim, downspouts and the side of the house. The entire job looks great and we are so thankful for Evan and his skillful team. read more
