People that don't even like turkey commented on how juicy and delicious the flavor of the turkey was. For ten dollars we received turkey, four sides including stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and mac and cheese; as well as spinach salad with Gorgonzola, craisins and caramelized pecans and all set up with chafing dishes and serving spoons! The food was delicious. The salad came with a home made dressing. It also came with rolls. The Mac and cheese was one of the best I've had. Definitely use yielding seed. You won't be disappointed. This is a review of the vegetarian meal plan. Ive done many food delivery systems- fresh meal plan, fit life foods, The splendid spoon, Daily Harvest ... but WOW the Yielding Seed was a terrible mistake. This place came highly recommend by co-workers but none had tried the vegetarian plan... I usually only eat animal protein 1-2x/week and the yielding seed didn't offer plan mixing (like Fresh Meal Plan does) so I opted to buy the more expensive plant based option. I was very excited, expecting high quality greens, fruits, grains etc... As seen pictured, this was a vegetarians worst nightmare. I won't post all the meals but it felt like a cruel joke. As a general comment for others- they ship the food without any ice packs, and delivery times vary which worries me the food sits out for a very long time. Lastly, I wrote an email expressing my disappointment with the meals (which absolutely do not meet nutritional needs for vegetarians) after being encouraged by my co-workers who have had a great experience with the traditional and paleo plans ... but no response. No apology or inquiry on what recommendations or changes could be made to improve the plan. I've heard the owner is extremely nice, professional and committed to the company so I hope drastic changes are made to the vegetarian option. read more

Really hate to do this, especially when a business has so much potential to be great. Unfortunately, I've given this food service SO many opportunities to fine tune their craft, but I'm always left disappointed. I've received countless orders missing meals, orders with mold on the fruit, and even though I've requested no seafood, multiple times I'm given seafood for the week. Wish I would have kept the photo of the order with the mold on the blueberries, DELICIOUS. Anyway, to make a long story longer- I called today to cancel my order for next week, because we received seafood TWICE again this week. This order is supposed to get delivered Sunday night, and I was told they can't cancel my order, even though I'm calling two days in advance. I told the person on the phone I didn't want the food and she said "ok we won't send the food". I asked, "but you're still going to charge me?" and she responded that their cancellation policy is extremely strict and they wouldn't be able to give me a refund. Its not $20 I'm paying, its $300 for my husband and myself - so I know I'm not being ridiculous. I added up all my invoices and I've spent over $4500. with them, for them to not refund me my last order is petty. I'm so dissatisfied with the lack of caring for the customer. The one star is for the food being edible, and actually having good flavors. It's a shame the rest of the business can't catch up to the chef. read more

I am definitely a fan of The Yielding Seed. Their original meals are delicious and the perfect portion for me (the champion meals are the same great taste, but more food is added). They aren't too repetitive and I can opt out of any ingredients I do not like. I've been with this company for over a year and I am not bored of their food yet. Their delivery guy (who goes to Dania Beach) is such a great person. The only small detail I would criticize is the customer service is sometimes a little hard to reach but they always call back the next day. I have been receiving food delivery from The Yielding Seed for the last few months. I opted for the Paleo meal plan to try and shed some weight. I find the price reasonable, and the portions are great. Sometimes, I can only manage half. I also like that each dish is labeled and includes nutritional information. Most dishes are less than 450 calories. The food has always been fresh and for the most part, quite tasty... for diet food. When it comes to food, opinions are pretty subjective. So for me, there is always some hits as well as some misses. I love knowing that I have meals waiting for me at home. No wondering what to prepare, and most importantly, not settling for the quick fix... fast food. While there is a set menu each week, and you cannot choose your meals, you may choose to skip the week if the menu does not appeal to you. read more

So, a friend of mine uses their service and loves them, so I decided to give them a try, especially since they offer a keto meal plan. I'm not sure if they understand what the macros are for the keto diet, but the food I received was not even close, except for the breakfasts. I also requested no shellfish because I'm allergic, which they never provided and I also requested no fish... tonight's dinner is Salmon. They were quick to resolve the issue which is why I'm giving them two stars, and some of the food was delish, but other, it looked like they just threw food in a troth for a pig. The Paleo meals were constantly repeated with strips of chicken and a range of 3-4 different sides. The chicken and meats were often dry, and I would've liked to receive more fish. I received salmon approx. twice in all 3 months. Also, I would sometimes receive the same lunch and dinner in the same day. I am very split down the middle with this company. While I love the fact that they deliver fresh food every week night they are very inconsistent with their times. They gave us a 2 hour delivery window from 8-10pm, however, they commonly would deliver past that time. It is now 12am and I am still waiting for my delivery so I have food for tomorrow. This is also an issue because there is no insulation or cold pack so the food will go bad if I just go to bed. Speaking of the food it is good most days. Some days I've found myself muscling through it but that's what everyone does on a diet. Their juices are really good. As for cost, they are pretty reasonably priced. I placed my first order with TYS for the week of February 19th- 23rd, 2018. As you may already know, they have a menu on their website with details on what's being served on which day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Day February 20th, for lunch it was supposed to be "chicken breast with caramelized carrots", yet somehow, I ended up with Pork Tenderloin. I thought -oh maybe the person who does the menu messed up. So, I contacted my friend who also orders from TYS and turns out she got chicken. Now I'm upset, no one at TYS contacted me to let me know they were going to serve me pork. Which I find very unprofessional. I don't eat pork, so I had to spend money buying lunch elsewhere. I did contact TYS to explain the issue and they told me the kitchen manager would give me a call back. Its been 24 hours and I'm still waiting for a call back. Aside from this issue, I do want to add that I enjoyed the rest of the food from that week. It is tasteful, which is saying a lot compared to other meal prep companies I've tried. Last night, the day of delivery, I did not receive any food, nor did I receive anything other than a text message that the food was en route. When I clicked into the map to track the food delivery, the map just said "calculating ETA" with no further details. I have now been calling their customer service line multiple times, and no answer. I have been trying to contact The Yielding Seed for 11 days now. They were supposed to deliver my food in Aug 30. The girl left the food outside and I immediately opened the door. She I asked if my name was Jacqueline and I said no. She realized she was dropping off the wrong food so said she was sorry and that her phone was dead and she got here off memory. She said she was going back to her car to look for my food. Next thing I know she drives off with her trunk open and doesn't deliver my food. This actually the first food service I found that the taste of the food is really good. He only complaints I have is that after almost 2mon of subscribing the quality and consistency was start to lack. We received two subscriptions to my house and the amount of food was different in both each week, plus the seasoning started to because either over salted or very dry. Also, the substitution meals for fish were literally leftover from other food that week. I'm sure we're not the only household who prefers not eat tilapia, so there should be more thought put into it. Aside from that the taste is usually spot on.
