I wasn't sure which was the main door at first but I figured that out by trial and error. When I walked in, my first impression was that it was a dive bar because there were a bunch of pool tables as soon as you walk in to the left. On the right, there's the bar. I smiled awkwardly at everyone since I was by myself and went straight back to where I saw a small group of people dancing. Thankfully I knew a couple of them and they quickly welcomed me. After finding a spot to sit in one of the high tables, I went to the bar to get a drink. It took a while for the bartender to notice me, I think it was the owner and he was on his phone so I couldn't get his attention. Finally a customer yelled at him and I was able to order. Of course I got a mojito. It was very delicious, however, it was a challenge to drink. They use those super thin plastic straws that rip easily so I felt silly after failed attempts to drink it. Ended up just not using the straw. Besides that, the sound and light system were great. Wish the floor was smoother, especially for dancing events, that is a must. Maybe that's why they've stopped doing Thursday Latin nights. I heard they do karaoke nights and most recently, it changed its category and is now listed as a gay bar. Not sure if they transferred ownership or if they just partnered with organizers, but all their monthly events are LGBTQ+. I'll definitely make sure to check those out sometime.

While we may not always know each other, we can always raise a glass in solidarity to honor those deserving and even help deserving folk when we may not even know their name.
