This was my first time visiting Barton Creek Square Mall, and I was genuinely impressed. The mall…read morehas a great mix of stores, making it perfect for both serious shopping and relaxed window-shopping. The interior is bright, spacious, and well laid out, which makes walking around enjoyable rather than overwhelming. Everything felt clean and well maintained, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming. There are plenty of dining options scattered throughout the mall, so it's easy to take a break and grab a bite while you explore. One thing I really appreciated was the kid-friendly area--a nice playground space that makes this mall a solid option for families as well. We spent a good amount of time just strolling, browsing, and taking in the variety of shops without feeling rushed. Overall, it was a fun and relaxing experience. If you're looking for a comfortable mall to shop, eat, and unwind, this one is definitely worth a visit.

Barton Creek Square Mall is... fine. It has plenty of stores, the basics are covered, and you can…read moredefinitely knock out some errands in one trip. Parking is easy enough and it's convenient if you're already in the area. That said, nothing really stands out. There isn't much in terms of higher-end or unique retail, and it feels pretty standard compared to other malls. If you're looking for luxury brands, standout dining, or an elevated shopping experience, this probably isn't the spot. Solid for everyday shopping, just not a destination mall.

I spend a great deal of time at The Domain. I asked myself why while I was back at the Domain…read moreagain today. The Domain is now a sought-after destination - where shopping (casual and high-end), dining, night life and other fun experiences converge. You can go shopping, meet a friend for happy hour, or do something completely fun and adventurous in the course of the day or evening. One of my Finance groups hosts a monthly Finance meeting at The Domain. Shopping...some of my favorite fun stores are at the Domain such as J. Crew and Anthropologie. I love these two stores because they have unique goods at great prices, in general, and specifically, have amazing sales. If you are a big baller, you can shop at stores like Neiman Marcus, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Tiffany's and whole host of other high stores. I'm a tiny baller. Smile. Dining - At the Domain you can get reasonably priced foods to high end fare. Some of my favorite places to dine in the Domain include Glorias, Flower Child, Paul Martin's and Haywire. Important to note, most restaurants have great happy hours and associated amazing prices. Nightlife - Some say that The Domain (especially on Rock Rose Avenue) is the new 6th Street (known for its bars and Live music). I would not venture out that far. However, if you want to party in the wee hours of the night, you can do it at The Domain. Fun Experiences - You can transport yourself to fun such as IPIC movie theatre, Museum of Illusion or the Battle of the Games. Last weekend I discovered the Barkin Creek Dog Kitchen & Bath...so, The Domain is not only for humans. Love The Domain...I am sure I will see you there!

This place is a full blown…read morelifestyle, not just a shopping center, and I mean that literally because yes, you can live right above all this magic and I am still processing that level of convenience. It is giving chic city energy with a side of "oops I accidentally spent three hours here," between the endless lineup of shops, dreamy eateries, and that Rock Rose buzz that makes you want to stay out just a little longer. Everything feels polished but still fun, like Austin dressed up but kept its personality, and I was completely in my element the entire time. Honestly, if errands looked like this every day, I would never complain again.

If you're male and you come here, you're a Dobie-man. And all men are dogs, so you're also a…read moreDoberman? Draw your own conclusions (here's a sketch pad). They gone done a really good job with this mall, y'all. I appreciated it years ago visiting when I was on tour and it was basically nothing, but still a hot spot for UT students. Rundown yet popular students despite not really having anything. Now they've turned it into a real fancy violin... um, I mean mall, not sure why my predictive text thinks this mall is a string instrument but anyway. So several of my friends whom are students head down here often to hang out and get boba from the popular and over-busy Gong Cha here. So it's alive, and largely because there's a bubble tea shop and a whole bunch of TVs for you to watch in the food court. So if you're at UT and spoiled by stuff to do... this is just an extra place for you to hang out and spend money and I think it's a great location and has some cool stuff as well. Parking is awful though unless you pay for the garage.

I think this gives me an unabashed unbiased opinion when I say this place fckin sucks. The directory listed two game stores (Resurrection and Cartridge) that sounded interesting but after wandering around for 10 minutes I could find neither. Considering how tiny the mall is i must surely be an idiot for not finding the shops, right? Found an internal directory and found the exact spots. Went. Nothing. Both closed down. Easy to miss, I suppose because they were each surrounded on both sides with more closed shops. So the external directory, the internal directory, and the website (I later checked) are all wrong. Obviously "The Weitzman Group" maintains a high standard. It has an army recruiter, a nail salon, a convenience store, a hair salon, a food court, a Princeton Review, and a textbook store (which also was listed incorrectly, both in name and in the hours of operation posted online). I'm sure, containing the "college essentials," it's a nice air-conditioned place to get relax when you live in Dobie apartments right next door, but as far as malls go this place is a piece of shit. Superfluous. As useless as the three Japanese good luck cats sitting next to each other in the window of "Funny Nails" salon. Any appeal of this place extends only from convenience and no other aspect, and if you're not a UT student (who can't be bothered to walk across the 50-feet across the street to the drag,) then there is no convenience in this place, and thus no reason for it's existence.
