They were probably the best buffalo fries that we've had and that's saying a lot! The fries were perfectly cooked. The small cubes of chicken were tender and the buffalo sauce was the perfect flavor and the quantity of sauce was perfect - not too much or too little. We tried the Ringer which is a burger with BBQ, ranch sauce, pickles, bacon, cheese and onion rings. The burger was very moist and flavorful. The combination was really good. Just a really great burger - in my all-time top 5 burgers. We also tried the Jalapeño Melt which was a burger on Texas toast with bacon, jalapeños, pepper jack cheese, and BYK sauce. It was a very tasty patty melt - moist and flavorful. I will b looking for excuses to head to Floresville so I can take a few minutes and go to Poteet so I can eat here again. Located inside the Alsatian Golf Club's clubhouse is their 19th-hole restaurant and bar: Julianna's Restaurant. Upon entry, you realize the place has been around for some time. It feels very classic San Antonio, with wooden walls accented by tan and white bricks. The restaurant's aged interior gives it a cozy, lodge-like charm. Though the restaurant was pretty busy on a Saturday night, we were seated instantly at a booth that gave me a perfect view of the Georgia-Alabama game on the bar's TV. After nine or eighteen holes, you never know what you're in the mood for. That's why Julianna's has plenty of options: sandwiches, pizzas, pasta, seafood, steaks, and other meat dishes. Our server came by very quickly and got us our drinks, which for me was a tall Saint Arnold Oktoberfest. I had a tough time deciding between two options: a bone-in pork chop or their creamy Cajun pasta. I opted for the bone-in pork chop with a Caesar salad, bacon green beans, and herb rice. My dad got the creamy Cajun pasta, and my mom got the Southwest chicken. It wasn't long until the Caesar salad came out, with huge croutons and a generous helping of dressing. It was excellent to the point my mom wished she had ordered it over her chicken tortilla soup, which she also enjoyed. If you ever order a meat entrée and they stick a steak knife in it, you're in for an ESPN Instant Classic. The pork chop was huge, topped with a house raspberry chipotle sauce. It was tender and cooked well. I'll admit, trying to find the bone versus the pork was a challenge, but I think that was a me issue. I would order it again. As for the sides, the bacon green beans were sneakily running for Sixth Man of the Year, and the herb rice paired with the pork chop quite well. I would go back. I took it upon myself to place an online order using their website. Their ordering platform isn't very user friendly. You can't add items on certain orders, for example: the kids burger meal only has the option for meat temperature (medium, medium well, well done), and cheese. There are no options for veggies, or dressing, or to upgrade the fries to something different. My littles enjoy sweet potato fries, so we usually opt for these when available. I was placing an order for pickup, so I feel adding these additional options isn't a big ask. I also ordered a Cobb salad. The only dressing option was ranch dressing and I am a vinaigrette type of girl. So, I wasn't impressed. My order said it would be ready by 11:46. By 11:50, I still had not received the "your order is ready" text, as promised by the automated messages so I went to the pickup line to ask. The young lady said "we'll call you when it's ready." And I responded "the system said it would be ready at 11:46. It's 11:50 and it's not ready?" She admitted the order had to be manually printed and given to the cooks and she failed to see and print the order. I thought I had beat the long lines and wait because I ordered ahead, but I was very wrong. This was especially frustrating with my hungry littles by my side, though they were so patient. The Cobb salad was also tasty, though I do feel for the price, They could add more greens and make sure there are no wilted or slimy greens. The turf area is nice for the kiddos to burn off some energy, though mine did not. My littles wanted a playground and not a play yard. The restrooms were also clean, which is great with 2 kiddos. They had a diaper changing area in the stall. The indoor and outdoor spaces were clean and maintained, which is a big plus.
