Stopped in to the Workz while passing through Mojave from Mammoth. They have their own fairly spacious parking lot viewable from the dining room (fantastic if you are traveling with a pet or just overloaded with snow gear) and a fairly extensive menu of items with salads, sandwiches, burgers & burritos. Everything we ordered was great, and came in enormous portions. The clear winner of the lunch order was the chicken club sandwich - which the kid gave high marks - that came with a nice cut of chicken, lettuce and bacon. We were also amazed at the portion size of the fried zucchini. One order was so much more than our little family of four could handle. Everything was good, not over-seasoned like so many other fast food choices. Restaurant was clean, and the restrooms (also very clean) were outside and they're happy to tell you the door code. Three days later on 11/16/2023 she ended up in the ICU with SHIGELLAits a bacterial infection found in the stool of an infected person, and can be passed on through foods, water, or surfaces that have been touched by an infected person. The sandwiches were good sized with plenty of bacon but we both noticed the absolute tastelessness!... If we were blindfolded we wouldn't know if we were eating eggs OR bacon OR whatever. The Workz Burger and the Fruity Pebble shake were damn good. Just a quick stop for food, which turned out to be better than most places.

O man don't let the photos or reviews fool you, this place is absolutely delicious, I got the pastrami sandwich with upgraded chili cheese fries, and everything exceeded my expectations the pastrami is loaded with flavor, all be it not a huge sandwich but big enough and full of flavor, then the chili cheese fries,I was not expecting such a great seasoning in the chili , after I ordered my food I had a bad feeling that I should have gotten the asada fries just in case this place was really good, so being the hog that I am I ordered them to take back to the room ( at embassy suites 5stars as well) and holy crap those asada fries were incredible, definitely try this place, very friendly staff and was very clean, I'll stop here again when I'm back in the area! read more

Wow. Just, wow. Even though our visit started with a total moron ahead of us in the drive thru who made us wait literally 5-10 mins while he decided what he wanted, we had an exceptional experience. Oh, and that also says a lot because the prices were a bit higher than the menu pics we looked at here to decide what we would order (sorry, didn't think to take new pics). Ok, to the point... the woman working the drive thru was very good at her job. Spoke clearly, very polite, took our order well and knew that she missed an item so apologized and asked us to confirm the item she knew she missed. Wasn't cheap but reasonable for good food. My husband ordered the pancake plate and had mixed reviews. He should have asked for cheese on his scrambled eggs but didn't know as it was our first visit. He felt that the pancakes were a little stale but still good. He is a big fan of sausage links, and these were very good even to his standards. Now to my breakfast... YUM YUM YUM!!!! I knew I wanted a breakfast burrito and prefer bacon but was a little hesitant to order a bacon breakfast burrito because the bacon might have been soft and chewy, but I took the risk. I'm happy to report that the burrito was EXCELLENT. I don't like cilantro so I asked for the pico de gallo on the side. It was flavorful and very good before even adding the salsa I also requested on the side. Now let's talk about the salsa. I don't know if they have multiple versions of salsa, but I didn't specify hot or mild and received a thick (not chunky) greenish salsa. Let me also state that I unfortunately can't do spicy hot, so I tasted first and started small when adding the salsa. It, was, soooooooooooooooo good. I'm sure for many it wouldn't be hot enough, but for me it was PERFECT. It had just the right about of heat that I could add it fairly liberally and it wasn't too hot. The combination of the very good crisp bacon burrito with the exceptional salsa, was probably the best bacon burrito I've ever had. I will DEFINITELY be back next time we drive through Mojave. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. Overpriced food, no flavor. Almost 30 dollars for a burrito & some fried zucchini. Ranch had zero flavor or spices for the matter; it looked like watered down sour cream. This is apparently a newer hamburger joint. They have charbroiled burgers which have the best flavor and texture. The employee said welcome when I walked in. They have a wide variety of genres of music playing, so everyone gets to hear a song they like. This place is clean and run well. The only thing I can complain about is that they used leafed lettuce. I guess it's a high desert thing, but shredded lettuce is way better. Shreeded lettuce would have earned two more stars. read more

They cannot get an order right to save their life. While picking food for an order that they made incorrectly they messed up the new order that Was placed as I was having them correct my first order. I will say when she asked me to check the bag I should have made sure that every individual item was correct not just that we had the correct amount of items.
