I went and purchased a cold brew vanilla cream shake. On the way back I stopped for another and a chicken strip combo. The chicken made me sick and it looked funny. I only ate 2/3 of one strip. The cold brew was horrible the 2nd time and it was over ice and not a shake like the first one. read more

Patio and inside dining is spartan and pretty much what you would expect. I remember when it was the only thing out there, it was just the same then. Fosters is a Rosamond staple. I've been coming since I was a kid. It's been a few years since I've been and wow have things changed. Service was very slow even though there was no one in the drive thru and only one table inside. They served us burnt fried chicken sandwiches. We saw them take them out and shake their head and proceed to bag them up. The CO2 in the soda machine was out, and we were told they knew and could do nothing about it. There was a very nice worker, she was holding the restroom key who was very pleasant and helpful. Won't be going back. read more

Every time I ask for a brownie twister they barely put brownie. Which they do an extra 99 cent charge for. Did time I asked for extra brown so it would be a $2 extra charge and it had basically no f*cking brownie! Went to foster freeze today on 10/20/2025 went through the drive through waited there no one said hello. Then a lady got on and said I'll be with you in a moment no hello not friendly. After that she got back on the mic we ordered are food felt rushed then she said go to the window we weren't even done ordering rushed us . Then sat in drive through for another 15 minutes. Finally got to the window waited another 5 minutes not greeted no hello we payed finally gave us are food just ordered a corn dog went to take a bite the corn dog was frozen in the middle was very pissed. This place is really good, there was a couple of cars ahead of me with large orders and since I only ordered a medium chocolate malt the really nice lady came out to get my money and returned with my malt shake and did not make me wait in a long line and I was able to leave and hop back on the freeway. This place has a very huge menu, they have all kinds of food options and dessert options. The people working there are very nice and courteous. read more

pulled into the drive thru at 9:50 on the dot to get 3 small ice creams. would've taken 3 minutes max. drive thru was completely empty and it was 10 minutes before closing. the workers inside spent the next 7 minutes ignoring us, looking at us through the window, and laughing. when they did decide to interact with us they said they were closed when they still technically weren't. the person on the headset got an attitude when we said they actually weren't per their own operating hours, stating they had already closed all of their stations. if you close at 10, be able to take orders until it's actually 10 or update your hours. i usually have a significant amount of patience for food service workers, but when they openly choose to ignore paying customers when they are still open, it is then on them. waiting double the amount of time it would've taken to make the items just to order is asinine. how this place is in business with lazy workers like this is truly beyond me. if i could give this place negative stars, i would, but technology hasn't caught up with the rest of societal failure which this restaurant seems to exceed. read more

The inconsistency is what bums me out. Some days the food is fantastic other days well...not so great. Tonight I order a large reeses twister. 20% of it missing from the top of the cup. Came here yesterday for dinner and we went through the drive thru. There was only one car in front of us but we sat behind them for about 35 minutes while they waited for their food. By the time we finally pulled up to the window there was about 7 cars behind us. It took forever, I'm not sure if they were short staffed or not. I had ordered the southwestern grilled chicken sandwich and a Oreo twister! The grilled chicken sandwich was actually pretty good and flavorful! The Oreo twister was tasty! Came in for some late night treats. Went inside to order and was not busy. We got a sundae and a dipped chocolate cone. Our order was ready very quickly. We grabbed a booth and enjoyed our treat. As we were sitting eating our ice cream one of the workers, young boy with curly hair, walked to the restroom and when he walked back, he opened the gate to go back behind the counter and SLAMMED the gate. Completely scared us sitting down and VERY UNNECESSARY. I know he let it slam down on purpose because I saw him do it. Also, another worker walked out the gate and he did not let it slam. So there was a complete difference. Other than that, inside was very quiet and clean. Sitting area outside where you can enjoy your food or treats during a nice day. I don't normally come to fosters for dessert because snack zone is way better, portion size and price but they were closed. Went through the drive through line which was super long no biggy... except for the fact that they must of made my banana split when I ordered it because by the time I got to the window and received it, it was completely melted. If I wanted a milkshake I would of ordered one. Just a reminder of why I don't come. I should of said something but then the rest of my families would have been melted. Foster's Freeze is one of my husband's favorite places to go. He loves the triple berry freeze ice cream dessert they have there. Well he went to this establishment today and ordered the triple berry freeze and a coke. He's black by the way (just for reference). It took 15 minutes for someone to take his order with no one else in line. While waiting a white family of 2 got in line behind him and a white family of 5 got in line behind them. Well both families received their orders before him. The white young lady behind the counter apologized with a smirk when giving him his order. After receiving his order he was afraid that someone may have spit in it or put something in it because it took so long so he just threw it away. This is not the 1960's, so I just can't, for the life of me, understand why he was treated that way. The first person in line should be taken care of first. I can't even explain how hurt and disappointed I feel, my husband feels even worse. I definitely DO NOT recommend patronizing this place. Treating anyone like this no matter what culture they are is unacceptable. read more

Skimped on Reese's. Ordered the same exact thing as my friend - Reese's Twister - and he got way more Reese's in his twister than me. Looks like they crumpled one Reese's cup on my twister. Meanwhile my friend got the entire Reese's buttercup factory dumped into his Twister. And he even got his twisted in, like the name twister. It looked like mine was sprinkled on top, NOTHING in the middle or bottom. Shouldn't have even called mine a twister, should've been a Sprinkler. Disappointed. This used to be our favorite little place in Rosamond, always had great service, attentive staff, and the best quality food. We've been here quite a bit since the new ownership took over and it's been underwhelming to say the least. Today was the nail in the coffin for me. Not a single other car in line, yet we waited at the window for ~10 minutes. They tried to give me the wrong order twice (a Sunday cup), after finally giving me the correct order (big boss no pickles and a patty melt) I got home to discover it still had pickles, the bun was borderline burnt, and had over-cooked bacon. Overall quality was just poor. We've had a similar experience each visit the last few times we've been here. I hate to leave such a negative lengthy review but I hope the new ownership takes notice and fixes the quality control issues. read more

Get the patty melt. You won't regret it, yum! They toast the rye bread to buttery perfection and it has the perfect crunch to melty cheese, onion and burger ratio that basically melts in your mouth. It's a Monday night here in Rosamond and the drive thru is packed with cars. You can also order take out at the counter. Large selection on menu items for your choosing. My dinner is the filet fish and onion rings. The potions they serve are generous and great tasting. Masks are required if you order take out at the counter. My order took some time but was worth the wait. Always a great place to get some fast food. read more

I'm a bit scared for this foster freeze. Things have slowly gone a bit downhill. Fries and onion rings are over cooked. Bag of fries not even filled. The burger was all bun, hardly any meat. I know things are expensive these days but quality and quantity matter. We would frequent this place every week and now maybe once a month. I would hate to see this place close after all these years.
