BEWARE: I purchased a special deal of Cut-up fruits (buy 2 get 1 Free). When I got home to enjoy us they are old, & moldy. I purchased them on or around 3rd week of August. When I complained about, sales staff asked me to bring the produce back to get a refund. I told her I dumped it in the trash having bitten into a rotten cantaloupe and honeydew it slimy and somehow sour. The same thing happened to a bag of that I bought cherries. It looked good on top but the bottom cherries were all moldy and brown. The staff did not take me seriously. She attitude and did not believe me. I usually stop here when I go to Willow Springs Racetrack to buy firewood and beer. Saturday was different. I was looking at the meat department and they had really good looking marinated carne asada for $7.99 a pound. Since it was just me and my dog Frankie I bought 3/4 of a pound and I bought some great mango pico de gallo. After looking at the cars run around the track I set up camp at may favorite site over looking the racetrack and bbq'ed the asada. I made some great tacos. I don't care what anyone else has to say about this Albertsons in particular, but I have had nothing but a good experience. If you download the app and clip coupons, or just punch your phone number in you will get a discount. You can also take advantage of their specials. You just gotta figure it out. But honestly, everyone is nice here. I haven't had a single issue. If you have a problem with the entrance/exit, just wait at the door til someone exits. Remember to be kind to everyone. I would give zero Stars if I could but I have to at least give one, we bought a cake for our son's birthday we were told that it was going to have a filling in it which is what we paid for, and it was a Minecraft cake, come the day that we go to pick up this cake and we get told well it didn't come out quite like I wanted it so I'm going to give you a $10 discount. I like having a good-sized grocery store in our small town, and Albertsons is a nice one. It is clean, well organized, and all the employees seem very friendly. Most of the time, I prefer using the self-checkout option, since they are easy to use and are often faster. Occasionally though, I check out with the aid of an Albertsons cashier. I believe all of the folks working here deserve a 5-star rating, for their professionalism and friendliness. The decision to add a small Starbucks service area inside of Albertsons was a very smart decision in my opinion. I often enjoy a nice drink here, on special occasions. The biggest draw-back here is the high prices. Even if you live in Rosamond, it is unwise to do most of your shopping here since most of the items are rather pricey. It is quite convenient to be able to buy almost anything close to home, but usually, I only buy a small handful of things I need immediately. If I have to shop using a grocery cart, I almost always wait until I go into Lancaster or Palmdale, at a grocery store that is less expensive. It's a shame, because if Albertsons could reduce their prices, I'm sure most other folks, like I would prefer to do, would do the majority of their shopping here. A price gouging location that has a cheap "selection" of products at a price that is beyond what people can afford. They are clearly targeting people who work at Edwards AFB who make a six-figure salary and have no interest in the rest of the community. Honestly terrible. The "training" is two days on a computer, no hands-on or really anything else other than that. Most of the employees there hate their job and don't even properly clean and sanitize as they should. They only do one walk-through per aisle instead of the two, bathrooms sometimes go un-cleaned or the employees don't even check them, especially the employee restrooms. Even got told by a "fellow" employee there that she doesn't even check the bathrooms, which I honestly thought was gross and made me feel even more uneasy about working there. (Because if she didn't, I wondered if they ever got checked at all during the day.) Hell, when I worked there, I took time out of my day to clean the floors and walls. Both were just disgustingly filthy with dirt and whatever else. Went to sanitize some freezer doors and what a surprise, my rag already looked dirty by the time I got done with only 10 doors. Just went over to Albersons to get some flowers for a graduation. So I decided to get a donut. I noticed flies in the bakery cases. I counted 23 flies sitting on the donuts and the cakes. If I could give ZERO stars I would. Unfortunately this is the only grocery store within 25 minutes of our house. The people that work there are rude and miserable people. Anytime I'm there no one is friendly and they don't care if they are rude to you. Even the manager was rude to me once for no reason. Also I have used the grocery pick up more times than I should because it's convenient and they ALWAYS mess it up. EVERY TIME. I have tried to be patient and forgiving but it continues to be a hot mess. They apologize only half the time and you can tell they don't mean it and argue with you as well. I don't understand why it is so hard when you're given a list of items to get those items. Every time I do pickup I get home to missing items or I'm charged for things I did not order or I'm given ridiculous substitutes like pork instead of beef or apples instead of oranges. Not the same!! I am sorry that I have to come back here and write another review! My experience with ordering groceries online yesterday was a complete nightmare. I previously wrote about only receiving about 1/3 of my order, and what was said to me, but it got even worse after that! After calling the store several times, and people not knowing what they should do to remedy my situation (very sad and incompetent people), I told them to just get the rest of my groceries delivered. They tried to give the blame to the 3rd party that they use for delivering - it was NOT their fault at all - it was Albertsons fault completely. So, after receiving the groceries I STILL did NOT get everything I ordered - 5 items were missing and I had to call the store again to get a refund for those items! What a complete and utter disaster, and if they cannot provide the service they offer better than this I suggest they stop providing it! I've been shopping here for at least 20 years. I've always had good experiences with employees, they work hard to make their customers happy, I know full well working in the grocery business can be a thankless job, yet they always have smiles on their faces. One thing I love about this store is it's easy to navigate. You can get in, get what you need and be on your way in a few minutes, and they always have a good selection of hard to find ingredients for recipes. In particular the meat department is outstanding. If You call in the morning they will make special cuts and hold them with your name. Currently camped 45 minutes from any source of food with deli meat that expired Aug 20 (over two months ago) that I purchased yesterday. To add insult to injury, I purchased the exact same thing for our Labor Day trip and it was also expired. You'd think I would learn! I check almost everything I buy, and when I don't...I'm almost guaranteed to come home with something expired. The first time was also a camping trip when I prepared and served a pasta dish that expired six months earlier. Unbelievable! In my entire adult life, I have never purchased an expired product...they are everywhere in this store! Watch out for the "manager's specials," which are marked down the day of or before their expiration, and often left out a day or more beyond. I am also upset with the puppy vendors outside this store and, sometines, INSIDE! I complained to the manager, who basically told me to get over it. Lines are also ridiculous any time between 5-7PM, as though the management can't figure out their busy hours. The employees are all great (save for the one manager) but I won't be back. Unreal. Well, I'm not a former employee. I am always suspicious of reviews by former employees, but at least Charlene was upfront about it. I compare this store to the Albertson's in Tehachapi and there is no contest: Tehachapi wins big time. Even though it's only 10 miles from my house, as opposed to the 24 to Tehachapi, if I see something I want in the sales circular from Albertson's I drive the 24 and stock up. I drive past this place to work 4 or 5 times a week, but I do my shopping for the week elsewhere. (I also shop Stater Bros in Mojave, Save Mart in Tehachapi and various markets in Lancaster. Each place has specific things I target, usually when I'm nearby.) Charlene is right about checking dates on stuff -- they're notorious for keeping dairy out after it's sell by date. And if it wasn't two days ago, you can bet the date is tomorrow (I can't drink half a gallon of milk that fast.) With the exception of the daily french bread, most of the bakery is just okay. Everything lacks in flavor and is twice as sweet as it should be. Why the same items are better at the Tehachapi store blows my mind. Produce is just okay. Most of it is underripe and tasteless. Meat is overpriced and much lower quality than Stater's in Mojave. They have some seafood, but it's scary. (Fish department shouldn't smell like fish.) Deli is hit or miss. I've never seen deli roast beef go south so fast as the beef from the Rosamond Albertson's. Don't bother buying it if it's not on sale because without sale-price quick turnover it will go bad before you get home. I do stop by for milk (always check the dates!) and I buy a lot of cilantro and green onions here (highly perishable stuff under $2). They usually have a really good selection of "premium" ice creams (Haagen Daz and Ben and Jerry's). However, the employees are a pretty friendly bunch and usually helpful. read more

They have a machine that can scan a hardcopy image and immediately print an edible image to place on a cake. I arrived with the image that I wanted and the bakery staff came to the rescue. Loved this place for the past 3 years until tonight. I lost all respect for the white haired manager talking horribly to someone by couldn't see who. I felt awful for whoever it was. Then suddenly I see it was a customer who was a teen high school black girl who looked mortified. He kept being rude telling her something about voiding or not voiding something. In the deli there was a new employee or at least someone I've never seen before (no name tag or I'd note his name here) He was rude and sullen and very VERY slow. All that I could easily brush off but he also got my order wrong as when I corrected him he told me it was too late since he already started slicing it. Now for the cherry on top! THE FLIES!! It was like Lord of the Flies in the deli! I get all my cold cuts and cheeses here and never once have I seen A fly never the less a swarm of them crawling on the meat slicer and the counters and well everywhere.
