I gave it 3 stars which is probably a bit generous. I have two main complaints: 1. It's not uncommon to find expired food on their shelves at this store. There's absolutely no excuse for this. Be sure to check expiration dates! 2. Food here is over-priced, probably due to the lack of competition. Food is cheaper in Lancaster and Palmdale. The cake they made for my daughter's birthday was stunningly beautiful and exactly what she wanted.

I'd been shopping here since the day it opened, around twenty years ago. Despite being overpriced and uncomfortable to shop in, and even throughout the years encountering some bad meats, dairy and produce, I had continued to shop there due to a misplaced sense of loyalty. No longer. One recent breathtakingly unpleasant encounter with the manager (white haired male) was enough for me to never return. Avoid this place entirely if you can. I can't believe I'm reviewing a grocery store... meh, why not? I like this Albertson's. The staff here (much like most Albertson's I've frequented) is wonderful. They are always incredibly friendly and helpful and the selection here isn't half bad. I do wish there was a greater selection of healthy foods and cooking ingredients - but what're you gonna do when you live in the middle of the desert and only three people out here really care about those types of ingredients anyway? The produce is always fresh and plentiful, the store is easy to navigate, and since it's the only full blown grocery store in town - it works just fine. read more

The people that work there are wonderful, the prices are way too high, I travel all over the United States, and its funny when you find California grown food in North Carolina at 10 cents on the dollar of what it costs here in California. NOT the biggest fan of Albertson's however we always get our food for race weekend here. They do not have any fresh deli made sandwiches, only pre-made and they are just ok. The Deli has all the high fat, super mayo and fried offerings, not a lot of healthy options. They have lots of beer, ice and Gatorade ... which is what Paul lives on during race weekend. read more

My comment is for the bakery who always have fresh baked bread and donuts. I love buying their sale bread too . I know they are kinda high on prices but sometimes you get good deals on eggs and meat. There's 2 employees who feel like they are are better then me but I just ignored these people I don't let them ruin my day even one time I almost lost my composure in her. This place is wayyyy too overpriced. Sucks that it's the only market in rosamond. Parking lot is sketchy at night. Bums everywhere. I have had people come right to me as I got out of my car saying they need money because of car trouble. Same excuses every time. One night I was parked by the taco bell and a man actually came up and knocked on my window asking for money! I cringe when I have to come here for something. Don't let ur wife come alone after dark. Good selection of products and shelves are always stocked, prices are sky high, some staff is friendly, checkout is slow and crowded, some days long lines and slow checkout, some isles are cramped with displays in the middle of the isles which makes it hard to maneuver your cart especially when very busy, gave this store only three stars for very high prices. Store is always clean. Parking is good to mediocre and sometimes dirty and somedays too many carts are left in the parking lot which makes it hard to park in a parking spot and then you are forced to park on the street because they are busy and the parking spots have carts in them still read more

PRO: The Starbucks and deli crew are very friendly and quick to answer questions and provide assistance. CON: Don't use the self check out it does not work properly and avoid KYNDRA. For an employee she has the worse customer service skills for an EMPLOYEE. She is not the manager as she claims and should be made aware of this. She needs/requires training to correct her NASTY ATTITUDE. She has NO RESPECT, LACKS CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS, NO RESPECT FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES & ARGUMENTATIVE. She needs to be aware "YELLING" at paying customers, are the same people that ultimately are the ones paying her salary. One of the worse Albertsons shopping experience I have ever had. Over priced everything. Everything you buy at Albertsons is cheaper anywhere else. They are the main grocery store in town and know it..

We like this albertson's, it is very close to my house and we are frequently shopping here for odds and ends. It is a lot higher priced than a normal albertsons, but that is because it is the only store in Rosamond. I have never had a problem with dates on stuff, but that doesnt mean that it doesnt happen. Overall a good store, if they werent so expensive! read more

I just noticed the other day (Wednesday) they have hiked up so many prices.... it's sad that they take such advantage of the local people...disgraceful... I'm sure the travelers will pay it because they feel they have no choice... very disappointed in the company... read more

I went to the Starbucks inside Albertson's. I waited for my coffee forever. Their machine broke down and then they made four other orders before mine even though I was there first. So disappointed. How do you not keep track? It can't be that difficult. read more

The Starbucks is the good thing about this location. Every other department is just terrible. All of the workers look miserable all of the time and the customer service is terrible. There are only ever 1-3 registers open at a time, so the lines are always long. The deli, however, is the worst department. I asked the guy on the slicer if he could put a sheet between my cheese slices because soft cheeses tend to stick together and crumble apart; he rolled his eyes at me. I then asked for any basic turkey that isn't spicy or sweet; he got frustrated because all they had open was turkey and ham. I then asked him for salami; he sliced me pepperoni and labeled it as salami so I didn't notice until I got home. For a pound and a half total of products, I waited 40 minutes. Also, why are we only allowed one sample per customer? There are so many deli salad options that I've never even heard of! I'm not buying something priced at $8.99/lb just to see if I like it. read more

the prices here are way overpriced, and the fresh vegetables are generally waterlogged. Geez, how many times a day do you have to mist the vegetables? Fruits generally taste flavorless. could have something to do with it being genetically-modified perhaps? also, where's a person to bag your groceries when you need them? I always have to also load my own groceries into the cart. no, it's not going to hurt me to do such, but hey, you pay people to do that. also, the young folks that work at Albertson's need a lesson on customer service. i once asked a young gentleman where a particular item was and he actually ROLLED his eyes at me. i mean, really? think i'll just stick with shopping in lancaster, which is cheaper at certain stores, and better customer service. read more

Good luck finding another store as big as Albertson's, Chris M. Your problem is not the grocery store, but the town you are "camped" out in. Albertson's is the only large grocery store in Rosamond, and if I could write a review of the "city" of Rosamond I would give it ZERO stars. The only large grocery store in town is this one, and it is incredibly over priced for a store in a town that has so many poor to dirt poor and totally homeless residents. The 2nd largest grocery store, KS grocers has much better prices especially considering they are a smaller store. They run every day specials unlike large stores that do weekly ones, like 4 lb bags of sugar for $2.99. So, Chris, try KS grocers on Sierra Hwy and Poplar St. And as far as Rosamond is concerned, why would you want to stay in a town where the water has poisonous chemicals in it so bad that they send warning notices to the residents about it? I got so sick of going to the water machines to get drinking water. read more

worst store for high prices and always out of stock items for weeks. The manager (old white hair guy) is the most rude person you can meet. Ask a simple question about if they have an item and he barks in your face for asking and he is extremely rude to the cashiers when they ask him for assistance. Their food is usually expired by weeks, bought packaged meat and it was almost 2 weeks old after sell date then bought frozen fruit and the sell by date was 4 months old!!! I usually check the expiration dates. But it shouldn't be that far along on thier food everytime I go in there. Told the manager and she looked at my like I was stupid. And was like ok what do you want me to do about it......Ummm take it off the shelf so I don't get food poisoning. Also that fact that everything is completely over priced but it's the closest market unless I want to drive 20-30 minutes to get to another grocery store.... read more

Anytime I go into the store it is always clean and the staff always has a smile and is ready to help with anything. I think to often we remember to let the staff know when we are unhappy with service but we just take for granted when we get good service. We are all human and need to be reminded that we are doing a good job. So thank you to all the staff at Rosamond Albertsons!! You guys are the best. read more
