We will start off with cost of some of their dishes. I feel as if it's very overpriced and I live in NY. On their menu, they have shrimp and broccoli combination for 11.95, change the combo from pork fried rice to chicken fried rice is an additional 6.00! I could have almost bought a pint for that much money. You can also tell there were only 4 shrimp in the dish too. Lastly the chicken and friend rice was bland. The sauce that the shrimp in broccoli was in is delicious but paired with the bland fried rice it just didn't work. My girlfriend order chicken lo mein and she thoroughly enjoyed that. That was good. The egg rolls are a joke, they are like spring rolls. Last the kid at the counter did not know the difference between mustard and hot sauce. Overall I was very disappointed with the food. First time I tried this place in town instead of my regularly visited Chinese restaurant. I don't think I'll be coming back here. read more

Questionable business practice. We received the wrong order. Owner called and told us to bring the food back. After driving 30mins each way to patronize their business the owner expected us to come back and would not budge on eating the cost of their mistake. First, the mistake was their loss once my son had the food in his possession; anyone who's worked in food service knows they should throw the food out, remake the order and basically take the loss. Second, I questioned was she trying to give the food we had in our posession for 30+mins to the original patron? Did someone have our order and returned it and she was giving that to us? She ultimately charged me for the cost difference because we refused to drive back. I found the entire situation unsafe and very questionable. Somehow I don't ever go here and I live right behind it. In two years I've gone twice. Well, that's going to change. My only complaints is that their hot and sour soup isn't very good and service is kinda slow. I put in an online order (huge bonus points) and it said it would be ready in about 20 minutes. It wasn't. I ended waiting another 15 minutes before it was ready. The food is typical Americanized Chinese food. Stuff you'll be used to. Was visiting a friend in LaGrange and he was not up to dining out so he had me stop by the wok for some take out Food was better than I expected from this tiny strip mall location . Nothing to rave about but then it is La Grange and I am use to better in Louisville. Not sure why the tables and chairs were still pushed to the side and surrounded by yellow tape but my friend-said its been that way for a long time . Like I said the food was good. read more

I've eaten here a lot over the last year. It's hard finding descent Chinese food out this way. Every time I've ordered, food was great. Only downside is the line when picking up my order or order not being ready when I was told. I've had the: Crab Rangoon Chicken Lo Mein Sweet & Sour Chicken General Tso's Chicken - really good but the spice level varies. Sometimes it's very spicy & sometimes it's not. read more

I have downgraded my review to a two star after getting my take out order today. I ordered Spicy Shrimp, Chicken W/Vegetables. Came with Fried Rice and Egg Rolls. Also a Qt. of Hot & Sour Soup. The soup was very thin, not spicy, too much vinegar and very little taste. The meals were very disappointing. The shrimp were tiny, tasteless and not spicy. The vegetables were not fresh and looked like they were left from yesterday. The fried rice was undercooked. The Chicken W/Vegetables was the same. I'm not sure what's happened but, the food quality has really gone downhill and a huge disappointment. Will not return. read more

The Wok was our go-to Chinese restaurant until tonight. We are a family of six and we place large orders. The restaurant owner told us we needed to call two hours ahead of time since our large order was causing an inconvenience to other customers. In addition to the poor customer service, the food was mediocre at best. Needless to say, we will find another Chinese restaurant who will appreciate us for our large orders and contribution to their bottom line. read more

Pretty good food and fast service. Occasionally, the fried rice is dried out from sitting too long, which prevents the 5 star rating.

Poor customer service! No greeting when owner/worker came to counter. Up charge $3 for fried rice is ridiculous when no veggies are added. No expression of gratitude for spending my money with their business. Great customer service is a must! Especially for small businesses. I tried the Wok this week for lunch for the first time. I hopped online as I usually do and was surprised to find an online ordering option. So I placed my order for General Tso chicken and crab Rangoon online and notified it would be 15 minutes. Great, showed up to pick up my online order, and told they did not receive any order and that they would be happy to make it but it would take another 15 minutes (it was lunch time after all). So I wait unbothered and understandingly for my food. I get my food and head back to the office to enjoy....... I love General Tso chicken y'all.... I have had it all over in several versions and have never been disappointed, until now. The food was probably the most flavorless I've ever experienced. It wasn't just bad it was tasteless....... and very oddly textured. So I wouldn't recommend The Wok unless you like super bland, weirdly textured foods. I would cruise through the Chen Garden down the street which is a tried and true La Grange favorite. read more

We used to go to this place before the name change, the menu has improved after the name change and I love the app. It is nice to be able to sit and browse the 100 plus menu items at home. I also like having an email receipt so we can look up what we ordered last time. It's nice to be able to order electronically and walk in to pick up. ( Waiting was the worst part at this restaurant historically). The hibachi beef and lemon chicken are excellent. The hibachi beef is significantly better than the broccoli beef we used to get. The chicken pad Thai and chicken lo mein are fine. We will come back, this is our go to Chinese takeout in Lagrange. read more

Stopped by here for a quick dinner on our way through Kentucky. We ate in and our food was okay. Of the 4 entrees we ordered 2 of them the rice and veggies were cold. The others were fine. To me just another Chinese Takeout. The bathrooms were very nice though. read more

There are better options in La Grange. Side rice was crunchy (undercooked) and had no seasonings whatsoever. Chicken was okay, rather ordinary. Owners not very polite. Smallest egg roll I've ever seen. There are at least 2 better options within half a mile. read more

We were traveling and needed to eat fresh food quickly and The Wok was perfect for this! The owner was really nice too; very helpful and a hard worker! I got the pork and vedgies.
