I visited The Witch's Cottage, also known as the Gallows Hill Museum & Theatre, for a show in October and enjoyed every minute of my experience. The staff knows exactly how to run its shows, with large crowds trembling over the cobblestone steps outside this charming Salem edifice. The show was just perfect in length, especially for kids, and gave its viewers interesting facts about Salem's history, including the witch trials. The Witch's Cottage is perfect not only because it has a great staff and a fun show, but also because it is nicely and conveniently located within walking distance of a lot of attractions in Salem. Following the show, my family and I purchased t-shirts in the Museum and headed out onto the old and classic streets of Salem. It made our venture to this Museum even more worthwhile as we were able to know exactly what occurred centuries before in the streets we padded down. If you are in for a good show--put on by an outstanding cast and staff--and want to learn about an interesting, old town in New England, then you definitely have to visit The Witch's Cottage!!

I'm truly disappointed by the spiteful behavior this company has shown. We were told that we had to pay almost $100 more for our group than originally agreed upon. We were told that we were disruptive as we left the show (as quietly as one can with heals and creaky floors). We were outwardly told we were obnoxious. We were told we were tardy- we followed the first scene and bought tickets, immediately entered, the show had started without us. We were threatened to be reported to the Salem Police. We attempted to enjoy the show, and simply did not find it enjoyable. We left as quietly as possible without any malicious intentions. We requested a partial refund (mind you, we paid more than originally agreed upon.) And we were met with unkind comments, threats, and animosity. I'm simply disappointed.

The burger really is that good. Hands down the best burger I've ever tasted. It was juicy but not pink or red. The jam was the perfect amount- enough so i could taste it but it did not overwhelm the burger (coming from a hard core jam lover). Despite the juiciness from the burger, the bun was not soggy. Fries were pretty good. Cole slaw was nothing to write home about. We tried going back for a SECOND BURGER on a Monday but their hours are different so we couldn't. So good I didn't even get a picture. If anyone was to ask me a restaurant to recommend in Salem, this would be it.
