My device was taken off-site and held without my consent for 72 hours. I was twice told that I would receive a call with a quote for repair work, and didn't. The owners are not inclined to acknowledge any responsibility or wrongdoing. This is dishonest business practice and I would not trust The Wireless Station with any future work. read more

It may be a bit unfair for me to write a review since I did not have service here, but it is based on my initial phone contact. I do not require repair service, just have 3 issues on my cell that despite all the solutions I found, still do not work. I decided to research some cell phone places to see if any of them might help me with this. The person I spoke to at The Wireless Station didn't say whether they could help me or not - just quickly and abruptly asked what the issues were. (1) she said I probably had the wrong password - which I didn't; (2) said I probably didn't have enough space on my phone. GMAB She was abrupt to the point of rudeness, clearly not interested in helping me not a good first impression. read more

I had messaged in advance asking for a quote to fix my ipad6 screen, I was told that it would be $65 and would be done on the spot in 20 minutes. I travelled from the west end just to find out that what I was told was completely wrong. I was then proceeded to be told it would be$95 despite what I was told and wouldn't be finished till next day. Moral of story, don't ask for quote. read more

DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS WITH YOUR DEVICE! I was told over the phone that they could fix my phone in one day, no problem, so I walked over and dropped it off. The next day I called to see if it was ready to pickup and they said not yet, they'd call me when it was. Another day passed, and I got a call that they needed to fix the back glass too because it would likely break (??) if they fixed the front glass. I told him to do whatever was needed and another day passed before I checked in. I was then told they couldn't find the part needed for the phone, and would be given an update soon. The next day I received a text message to pickup my phone, but it was NOT fixed! I told them I would wait longer if necessary, but needed my phone to be fixed on way or another. It's unclear what happened from that point but from what I can understand the employee cut his hand on the glass from my phone and needed to take a medical leave!?!?! In the end it took 10 days instead of 1 day to fix my phone. When I went to pick it up I suggested a discount for all of the extra time and the employee refused. I paid, in a rush to get back home to my baby and the sitter, only to realize they had replaced the back glass with the wrong colour glass! I asked the employee to return the old glass and he explained he had broken it. I demanded a refund for leaving my phone in worse condition than I had left it, with a completely WRONG part, and I was refused. At one point the employee said they could strip the parts from the phone and refund me, giving me back a completely unusable phone, and when I said yes, let's do that, he put me on the phone to someone else who said they in fact could not take the parts back and would not refund me. Basically I paid $170 for someone to break my phone more than I left it, and then "fix" it with mismatched parts. They refused to do anything to help make it right, not even a partial refund. We went to replace my daughters iPhone screen (and new screen protector)and once we came home my daughter mentioned it does not swipe right We went back and the Lady said I can adjust it. We came home and my daughter said when she goes to one app it switches to another Again !!! We went back and the same lady said the screen is cracked !!! (WOW !!!!) I said how !!! I know my daughter did not drop it !!+ She said it was our problem but she could give me a new screen for 90.00 (discounted from 120). She did not want to refund me the money I paid. I immediately left and realy unhappy with the her !!! I went to iphone repair place and the owner said the screen is fine (NOT CRACKED, which i still have ) but the LCD displays is the problem I asked, how can this be !!! I was at the wireless station last week to buy a phone. I spent over 2hrs deciding on what to buy (I usually take time while shopping) Throughout they helped me in making an informed decision not annoyed by my 1000 questions. Must say they have a lot of variety of phones and I got free casing and screen protection. I got a super cheap public mobile plan too with added credits they helped me. The ambience of the store is nice and clean. I enjoyed food channel on their tv. Very friendly and genuine service. I don't do reviews generally but they truly deserved it. I went to the Wireless Station a couple of years ago. I had dropped my phone and the screen looked cracked. Also, I needed a new battery. When the woman looked at it she pointed out that the screen was fine and it was just the screen protector that was cracked. She could have put in a new screen but was honest and thus saved me $. In the end, I got a new battery and she installed a new protector which I had with me for just the price of the battery. I will definitely return for future repair needs. read more

"But it's only the on/off switch," I bleated. They claimed it was all one component. (Spoiler alert: bullshit.) Then I contacted CPR. They quoted me less than half. I had to give them half of that ($50) so they would order the part. They kept me apprised every step of the way, and accurately managed my expectations. Then met them. When they received the part, I dropped off my phone. They helped me put it into maintenance mode; so my apps and data were protected. Yay! I got a call when the phone was ready. They took less than the hour and a half they had advised me it might take. I was able to pick it up on my way out for the evening. All in all, a marvellous experience, and a very satisfying resolution to my hardware issue. Highly recommended.

They quoted me $230 to fix, which was a bit high since other places quoted $150 - $175, but I trusted they would do a good job so I allowed them to order the new part. Three days later I was informed that the part was in. On the way there, I dropped my LG and damaged the backing. I had taken the protective case off so they could replace the display. They ended up fixing the backing as well, stating that they could not fix the display unless they fixed the backing as well. However, they gave me a bit of a discount to repair both. Overall, so far everything is looking good and although a bit more costly, I recommend because they do good work.

I was quoted a relatively high price (compared to the other places that I checked out), but decided to go along with it, given its rating on yelp. Instead, I had to return 4-5 times until it was confirmed that they couldn't fix my phone. I still ended up having to get a new iphone from apple. Arguably, there is no guarantee that a store can fix liquid damage, but I didn't appreciate the way that they went about addressing the issue. I specifically didn't like the fact that during my last attempt to fix it, I handed in my phone around 11:30 a.m. on a Friday and didn't hear from them until I physically went in on Sunday afternoon - there was no email communication. I think the red flag for the technicians should have been that my phone was never entirely charged, when it was given back to me. Perhaps the issue could have been noticed if it was left overnight for observation. Okay, so they did refund my money when they realized that there was no possibility of saving it, but the effort of going back 4-5 times was ridiculous, to say the least. It also meant that I didn't have a working phone for over 3 weeks. To add further insult to injury, I just checked out the final invoice that they sent out and realized that they took off the protective screen that I paid $10 for and did not refund me. I will not be going back to get that money back - not worth it.
