One of my favorite spots for wings and football, even if the owner is an Aggie The heat level of their sauces always hits the spot. I went with Mango Habanero and Atomic. Little sweet, little heat. They did not disappoint. I cam assure you, Reaper takes it to the next level as well. And I always, always go with a side of their tots!

    Bacon wrapped shrimp. Nicely grilled

Still great and the new menu items are top notch. I tried the bacon wrapped shrimp on this visit. Well grilled. They really cooked the bacon which is nice since most places either deep fry them or serve the bacon limp. The jalapeño slice was not spicy too my taste. The slaw that came with it was basic but a nice pairing none the less.

My coworker chose this place for lunch and I'm so glad she did. They have weekly lunch specials for $10 so I was geeked because I love to save a coin! I ordered the 5 piece spicy Cajun chicken wings and a side caesar salad (not pictured). When I tell you the chicken was so bomb!!! The portions are huge! We placed an order to be picked up at 11:15 am and it was ready promptly at 11:15. I love prompt service and amazing food!! Wing'd Nut you will be seeing me soon!!

Cajun spice dry rub wings and grilled veggies, $16ish with Doordash fees, with the size of those wings worth it

The Wing'd Nut is dangerously close to me LOL. This is a problem because after going my first time, I went back in 2 days. Its hard to find good tasting low carb options to eat out!!! Located within the cozy mixed urban/residential development off Campbell, it is a place that just feels right - cozy, casual, approachable. The second night I went people from all walks of life came out to watch games or socialize - yuppies, buddies and dates. Now for the food. Warning, if you don't like salt this is NOT for you. Now if you love salt, keep reading. I crave salt regularly and these wings hit every spot. Spicy ranch honestly didn't taste like ranch to me at all, tasted a bit more like Montreal steak seasoning with some chili flakes, but again it didn't bother me because even on their own they were DELICIOUS. The jalapeño ranch is amazing too - helped restore the ranch flavor in the wings. The fried mushrooms weren't the most flavorful on their own but with that jalapeño ranch again the crisp and savory mushroom with creamy ranch has me drooling now writing this. Spicy Cajun will likely be my flavor going forward, it was like amplified Cajun seasoning. Very garlicky and savory! The wing size warrants its own paragraph. View the photos below. Words don't do them justice. They were like half the size of a water bottle!!! Highly recommend this hidden treasure. But remember if you don't like salt, this isn't for you.

Reciept showing $2 uncharged for ice.....

One of the top three wing places for me when I'm on that side of town..... But this last time I got a $2 uncharge for well ice in a single pour of whiskey. Regular ice, not a block. You know the same ice they put in sweet tea for free..... Nickle and diming people is how businesses fail.

This place is one of those places where you want to be a regular. I've seen multiple people walk in and the bartender or waitress brings their drink the moment they sit down. I love it. A lot of TVs, quick service and cheap but strong drinks. The mac & cheese bites were delicious!

Amazing sports bar especially for Chicago fans. Drinks are poured perfectly. Wings are best in DFW. Atmosphere is good.

Plenty of free parking, but it fills-up, as the Silver Fox bar is neighbor. A glass of Smithwick's draught beer, and a snack from the excellent menu brought me here, as well as the joyous & vibrant crowd. A live Irish band was setting up on the stage, but I had other things scheduled for my Saturday night. For now, college football was on the bigscreen above me, staff was busy with all seats along the bar taken, and I looked thru the amazing food menu of Irish & UK style dishes, with some San Patricio dishes from Mexico! The San Patricio Brigade of the Army of Mexico in 1846 were Irish conscripts that deserted the US Army invasion into Mexico due to Protestant American officers not allowing the Irish troops to attend Mass in the Mexican cathedrals. Then, most of the Irish "deserted", to defend Mexico from this invasion dreamed-up by U.S. President Polk to create more new States for Dixie to expand (Polk was a slave holder). The Irish ran the line of cannons for Mexico to win one battle, but Mexico was running low on bullets & supplies by now, and doomed for a loss. (If the Irish had just waited 2 more weeks, it would have been over with). Alas, the US Army quickly executed 30 of the Irish San Patricios in a mass hanging, while a group were hot-branded a letter "D" on their faces for "Deserter". (If seen again in USA, anyone could hang them) However, an untold amount escaped into the hills of Mexico, and married into the families. The Saint Patrick's Brigrade has a monument in Mexico. And USA gained the territory that Polk wanted, while a junior Congressman named Lincoln shook his head, yet had plans of his own. Meanwhile, Mexico would have another revolution in 1910, and a young Irish Mexican boy would enter USA with his family to end up in Los Angeles where young Anthony Quinn became a promising young architect, married a 35-year old woman who arranged acting lessons for him, giving the movie industry a macho man star. Come over to Gillespie's for more stories & cold pints! And good food, and live music!

Since we were really stopping in for drinks and apps we did not get to experience a lot of the menu. The fish and chips is something I will definitely try next time. We had the app sampler, cup of soup and a few drinks. Wife loved her blackberry lemon drop house drink. The app sampler really surprised us in a good way. The fried cheese and corned beef/reuben egg rolls were out of this world. The potato skins and jalapeño poppers were good too but as mentioned the other two items were on a higher level of greatness.
