I contacted Alan based on reviews here on Google. What a nice professional gentleman. I had a crack on my windshield and was concerned about my upcoming State inspection. Alan looked at it and gave me his honest professional opinion. The crack was in the inside so it could not be fixed. However, he said the crack is small and doesn't obstruct my view so I may not fail MD inspection. And yes, I passed my inspection. This guy is the man. Super friendly and he knows his stuff, he's like the Hank Hill of windshield repair (Hank Hill from King of the Hill who knew everything about propane and propane accessories). He comes to your house, analyzes the damage on your windshield, and gets straight to work. As he mentioned, he is a specialist in windshield cracks and dings... I don't think he actually does the replacing of whole windshields. I had a small ding on my windshield that he instantly noticed, gave me some scientific name for the type of ding it was, explained the history of these dings, and fixed that bad boy up. I don't even notice the spot anymore... out of sight, out of mind. So he came over around the time of Snowmageddon 2k10, and noticed the ice surrounded my garage entrance, preventing my pitiful car from getting out. While we were waiting for the gel to solidify on my windshield, he taught me a trick to cut through the inch deep sheet of ice and joined me in breaking through some of it! I'm not saying he's gonna come over and shovel the snow or cut your grass, I'm just saying he was so down to earth and had an honest desire to help. read more

Amazing service. I have an antique car and I called Alan to fix a rock chip in the windshield. Alan thinks that the previous owner had tried to fix it himself with super glue or something so it was making the repair difficult. Because the results were not up to Alan's perfectionist standards he tried to not charge me anything. I insisted on paying the full amount because he spent extra time trying to fix it and the results were still excellent to my untrained eye. support small and professional business like THE WINDSHIELD REPAIRMAN! very highly recommended. alan just left so i immediately posted this review because i was very, very happy with the quality of his work. 1. he did a fine, clean job on my windshield's 1+ inch crack and the crack line is no longer visible. apparently, the one who sealed this years ago did not do a very good job that the chip progressed to a crack. alan said he can fix cracks up to 2 feet! but don't wait til a 1 inch crack turns into 2 feet because that'll cost more to repair. 2. can't beat his price. i contacted other auto glass repair companies that worked on windshield cracks (not chip), like safelite, gerber, etc., and their price was higher by at least $50 than what alan charges. tip: ask him for a discount for cash payment 3. his work has a 5 year warranty 4. he has excellent people skills, prompt, professional 5. he will come to you as he does not have a shop and only does mobile repair work when i called, i was surprised to get his answering service (i usually got this when calling doctors only!) and he returned my call soon after. read more
