Win-Dow in Santa Barbara is a must if you're craving a solid smash-style burger. The burgers are seriously amazing, simple, flavorful, and cooked just right. Definitely hits the spot without trying too hard. The vibe is super chill and laid-back, making it a great casual stop while you're in the area. Also, it's surprisingly affordable compared to a lot of other Santa Barbara spots, which is a huge plus. Quick heads up: the parking lot is pretty small since it's shared with a couple of other businesses. You're better off walking over or parking at one of the nearby garages (which are usually free for the first 70 minutes or so). I've heard there's one in LA too but haven't tried itthis Santa Barbara location though? Awesome. Definitely coming back.

The Window is always buzzing with people at all hours of the day. They serve amazing burgers. The buns are soft, but not soggy. The patties are perfectly charred and the toppings melt together beautifully to create the most solid, yet simple burger I've had in a while. I was most excited about their dipped cones, which are fresh and creamy. The peanut buddy is a vanilla cone dipped in chocolate, covered in a crunchy but smooth peanut coating. Wonderful, wonderful, amazing place with lots of seating and parking! The outdoor patio has lots of bugs flying around :( but we sat on the stools near the street and had no problems there.

If I was asked for a death row meal, it would be the double cheeseburger from here. It tastes so fresh, the onions add a nice sweetness to the savory. I wish I had got a cone or shake. Will come back when in town and recommend to friends.

I ate lunch at the Santa Barbara Win-dow location. I ordered the grain bowl with a patty added. It was a great deal for $10. And SO nice to have fast food that is not all grease. Thanks!! The bowl had brown rice, pickled fennel, roasted broccolini, carrot ribbons, kale, cilantro, and radish on it. It came with a small dressing which was delicious! I enjoyed the bowl and would def come here again.

Dang. What a great burger experience. Worth the hype. We tried their cheeseburger and their double cheeseburger. The buns were buttery soft and the meat was perfect. My biggest worry with smash burgers are that they always tend to be greasy but not these! Also the portion size was perfect. We each got fries as well. They were perfectly crunchy. How all fries should taste. We got two sauces: their house sauce (think thousand island) and jalapeño. The house sauce was my favorite for the burger and fries but the jalepeno would be great on a chicken sandwich (which they have!). One of the big winners of the night was their milkshake. We got their local strawberry. It was perfectly creamy and the strawberries tasted hella fresh. Would highly recommend. Everyone that worked there was lovely and fast. It's a small joint where you order at the window and the call out your name. There's seating around the location on either side with only about 4 true tables so when it gets busy I could forsee big groups having a hard time finding a spot to sit. We walked here but there was a parking lot behind it with some spots. Please note that a lot of people got food to go by parking on the street and jumping out.

First time and it was Outstanding. The burger was so yummy and tender to eat. So much flavor. The frys with ranch were also yummy. Outdoor small seating area makes it feel like Santa Barbara. Seems like a small habit kind of place but the burger was absolutely delicious. Order at window and pick up when number is called. Quick burger spot. Highly recommended.

Wanted to try something local (eventhough I am a fan of Habit Burgers) and check out Win-dow. As stated in the name, you walk up to the window to order. Tried their cheeseburger and Impossible burger, fried brussell sprouts and fries. Buns were sweet and soft.. kind of .like a hawaiian sweet bread...burgers with the crispy pickles were very tasty. Dipped my fried crispy brussel sprouts in ranch. Seating is ultra casual and all outdoors...perfect for a mild weather day. Will have to try their 3 day flavor option dipped soft service cream cones. They were super popular.

I was excited to try this place, but sadly disappointed--a poorly constructed burger with good meat quality but extremely Salty. The fries were crispy but over-salted. Friendly, efficient service. Extremely uncomfortable, hard, small marble seats, with little shade. It's though the tables and fixed umbrellas were a whimsical approach rather than a functional one. Also, .65 cents for extra sauce? C'mon

This is officially my favorite Smashburger in town (sorry, Third Window)! Their prices are super reasonable and the food is delicious! The massive lines have gone down since this place first opened in Santa Barbara. I've also had the SB Grain Bowl made with brown rice, six veggies, two seeds, and soft egg which is pretty yummy too. I was still pretty hungry though after eating, it so next time I added a Patty. Parking can be difficult, but can usually be found on the street if the small parking lot which it shares with Lighthouse Coffee and other businesses is full.

This spot is so good. Burgers are great. Price is a deal imo. Parking is super easy/free. Ordering has always been quick even when it's busy, and food comes out relatively quick. Burger is fairly filling compared to other places (looking at u, third window). Not a fan of the fries though. Tastes like stale McDonald's the one time I had it. Chicken sandwich is nicely fried but bland.

It was my first time trying Win-Dow! I ordered a cheeseburger and fries with a side of the house sauce. The cheeseburger was delicious and the fries paired perfectly with the house sauce. The staff were friendly and the outdoor seating area was clean. There's a small parking lot, plus street parking and a parking garage right across the street.

The Win-Dow is good, very good. I've reviewed a lot of burgers in this town and the Win-Dow definitely rates. What I can't say is that it's inherently special or distinct. The double cheeseburger is a good choice if you're in the neighborhood and you want a good, fast burger but it doesn't rise the the level of "I'll go out of my way to get one" as a few other places in the area do. I'd certainly have to disagree with those that say it's "the best" smash burger in town because it isn't, buts it's about as good as you will get in a quick-food, burger stand setting. Cost wise, It's pricier than the local chain burger stand around the corner with a single and a double burger with 2 sodas and 1 order of fries running us about $25. I'm ok paying that for what we got but not everyone might be. One thing I didn't really care for was the seating. The tall tiny-seated stools seemed particularly hard & uncomfortable. They leave most folks feet dangling with the micro ledge foot-rest really only being useful for child sized feet. Maybe they just don't want people "hanging-out" . So, overall, a good burger that will cost but won't disappoint.

I've ordered from here twice and both times I got the kale salad. The first time I added a burger patty and the other a chicken cutlet. I love the salad but can't speak for the other food since I've only tried the salad. I recommend ordering online to get your food faster. It seems like a cool place to eat outside and people watch. read more

Been back here several times and it's still spot on for taste, quality, value, and customer service. The bun is so soft yet firm enough for the delicious burger, the fries are hot and crisp, the Peanut Buddy can't be beat, and the staff is always super friendly. Cute building and patio as well. The window is such a great addition to downtown Santa Barbara! Their smash burgers are absolutely delicious and their fries are too. The prices are very fair and the food is made to order quickly. Obsessed! So good! We went on a Monday, no line. Busy but spots to sit and eat. Ordered a cheeseburger, double cheeseburger, fries, strawberry shake, and a lemonade. Delicious and hearty steak and egg breakfast burrito. Welcoming and helpful staff and reggae music playing set a cool vibe on a quiet Saturday morning. Fermented hot sauce on the side (for $1 extra) has a nice trailing medium heat if you don't mind a fermented flavor upfront. I high recommend checking out this place. A colleague recommended this place, so I tried it (two days ago). I ordered a double cheese and fries. I was *singularly unimpressed. The only "cheese" available (for their cheeseburgers) is American. Spoiler alert: That's not real cheese Their "homemade Thousand Island dressing." Was disappointing--apparently made with dill relish , rather than sweet pickle relish (which is standard). The ONLY garnish available is sliced pickle--no lettuce, no tomato. Nothing The burgers were weird: mushy and flavorless. The fries were okay. Nothing to write home about. The jalapeno dip was wholly uneventful. To make matters worse, their ice cream machine was not working, which sucks, IMO. TBH, I've no idea why/how it is that this place is so popular (always a line, seemingly). One redeeming factor: VERY friendly/accommodating employees. They aim to please and to be of service. Bottom line, I would be willing to try it again, once. If I do, I will request well-done/"burned" burgers. And I will *try to remember to bring my own lettuce, tomato, and Thousand Island dressing. (Honestly,shouldn't have to.) read more

Ok, this place is so fun! Tried it out last night and their playlist was to die for. We sat outside at their high top tables, and the vibe was just so classic SoCal summer nights. Now on to the food lol. Their smash burger game is unrivaled imo. The meat had that perfect sear and the gooey cheese with their crunchy pickles and their special sauce is some serious umami heaven. Fries are crispy and just the right amount of salty. Oh and their prices are so reasonable! Ya gotta go! read more

There are three GOOD burger spots in town in my opinion. 1st is hands down Third Window. 2nd is going to have to be in n out And 3rd...is win-dow burger. HEAR ME OUT! The prices are better than most fast food restaurants in SB, and the food seems to be getting better with consistency. The burgers also have their own unique taste compared to the other burger joints I listed. Lastly their house sauce isn't just a copy & paste of thousand island. It has a flavor that stands out and even makes the burger go from alright to "damn that was good". read more

So I wanted to smash burger I was gonna go the third window, but I forgot this place open so I came here instead. I would like to start off by saying the burger is good but that's it. Nothing spectacular. Nothing like oh my God this is so fire just a good burger. The fries are pretty basic. My favorite part was the cheese and onions cause I felt like the burger itself could use more seasoning. will be back? No, I'll go to third window, their flavor of burger and fries are just better Also, the jalapeño sauce was not spicy and the house sauce is good but I wouldn't pay $.60 for either cause they're just good and they could go without it. This was truly a hidden gem! We got a double cheeseburger, fries, and the kale salad. Everything was amazing and the wait wasn't too long. The outside area is super cute with lots of seating! I highly recommend coming here if you're passing by or near state street. Delicious, good quality food, that doesn't break the bank. Seriously the prices are unbeatable for the yummy food! read more

The Win-Dow is such a great addition to Santa Barbara! The burgers are simple but so good. They're juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. It reminds me if Habit and In and Out had a baby in a positive way. Compared to those two places, the serving size is smaller. The vibe is super casual and fun, perfect for a quick bite with friends or a late-night craving. Service is fast and friendly, and the prices are really reasonable for the quality you're getting. Came here on a Wednesday afternoon at around 12:45 and the line looked long, but we were at the front in a few minutes. I got the grain bowl and it came with fresh delicious ingredients! It felt like a good deal at $8 and the rest of the group got the cheeseburgers and kale salad and fries and enjoyed them, but said the salad dressing was too tangy. Will definitely be back to try other menu items! Plenty of seating and a fun atmosphere! read more

If you're looking for an average-tasting slider, then The Win~Dow is for you. I was genuinely excited when The Win~Dow opened in Santa Barbara. I went there for lunch and took my order to go. But when I opened the bag at home, I was shocked--two tiny sliders? I thought there had been a mistake. The beef slider was bland and lacked any real flavor. The chicken sandwich wasn't much better--honestly, Chick-fil-A does it better. For the price, it just wasn't worth it. If you're in the area and craving a good burger, skip The Win~Dow. Go across the street to Eureka or head to Chubbie's on De La Vina for something far more satisfying. Unless they make serious improvements, I wouldn't be surprised if The Win~Dow doesn't last more than two years in this location. Seriously--don't waste your money. read more

Came here and line wasn't too long but usually does have a longer wait time so be prepared for that. I got the double hamburger and fries and they were solid. I really enjoyed the buns as they used a sweet brioche and seating was very nice with good views of the city. read more

He is a fan of McConnell's and wanted to grab some ice cream after our dinner. This location only has 3 parking spots plus 1 handicap spot. Thankfully we found parking on the street and there was a line of people waiting to get in. Once inside, Christie was the girl who helped us and she couldn't have been more pleasant and kind. She was very upbeat, energetic and did not rush us at all as we tried to make our decisions. She was more than happy to give us as many samples as we wanted. Since this location had frozen yogurt and the one by our home doesn't, my son decided to go for that. He got Horchata, Greek Yogurt, and Peanut Butter flavors in one cup. For his toppings he got rainbow sprinkles and chocolate chips. I had a few spoonfuls of it and it was DELICIOUS! Great texture, super smooth and decadent, while still being light. But the limited outdoor seating feels cramped on hot days, and the ice cream was a melty mess--not ideal. That 3% "healthy service fee" feels off; just raise the prices, you know? We ordered steak & egg burritos, and there was NO steak inside!! Crazy work. The burgers are fine (copycat in n out). Eureka down the street and Third Window on Haley both have better burgers.
