Thought we'd try some FroYo for dessert wile wandering along State St in Santa Barbara. The location looked bright and clean, though IIRC the bathrooms were closed off. The young man working the late shift on Aug 2 was helpful and pleasant, no issues with the service. Unfortunately, the yogurt was disappointing - very little flavor, to the point where you could hardly taste any difference between different flavors. The next day, we tried small independent shop Bliss in Ojai, which was like night-and-day better than the bland stuff served at Yogurtland, and it was less expensive! The location has parking in the rear, but refused to allow my disabled wife access to her car after she entered the store from the rear and made a purchase and tried to go back to her car. She was forced to walk 2 blocks around the building to get back to her car. I called and spoke with the employee about this and she was rude didn't care. I tried to use the restroom around 9:07 p.m (9/19/22) and the taller girl with the high school vibe stopped me dead in my tracks and loudly said, "THE RESTROOM IS CLOSED." And I looked at the 2 restrooms and said, "Both of them??" And she said, "YES." Then I asked, "Welll.. what time do you guys close?" And she said, "haha, well, 10, but the restrooms are closed." Obviously they'd rather inconvenience their customers than give themselves extra work cleaning as if I'm gonna trash their restroom. The shorter Asian girl was the one doing all the mopping and cleaning anyway. The taller one was just constantly on her phone in the back room. This place closes at 10, but be careful to come in around 9 cuz they'll take all the chairs in and make you feel unwelcomed. Awkward to enjoy your yogurt when you get the vibe that they just want to leave.... To the manager, please train your staff because that was a rude thing to do to your paying customers. Yogurtland is self serve froyo!! They had a wide array of flavors, most of which are creatively delicious. The froyo is on the sweet and expensive (59c/oz) side, but it is soft and beautiful in color. The cashier was very nice (in par with most of the rest of SB)! I would recommend coming here after spending the day browsing State St. because there are myriad flavors and you'll definitely be able to build your own bowl of froyo to your liking; that is, if you like froyo to begin with. read more

I like the 2 Yogurtland stores in Huntington Beach but this one was horrible. 3 flavors were out of service, of the ones left, several were non dairy, hello? It's called Yogurtland not Sorbetland? So all I had was coconut flavor which was excellent but the french vanilla was really lame . They didn't take credit card , same bs everywhere, machine was broken, the following day they still said that n would not honor the $1 coupon I handed them. I told them if they didn't take the credit card n if they claimed they didn't have change for $50, I'd walk out of there n they could eat the froyo themselves. Standard chain yogurt shop.... bright colors, cute cups and spoons, fun atmosphere. 16 delicious flavors to choose from and a toppings bar filled with fresh fruits, candies, and other treats. Best part about it was the cleanliness. I know that many folks have already reviewed this particular Yogurtland for its flavor choices and how good their yogurt is. I am a fan of Yogurtland, so I will not be commenting on their product because it is delicious. However, I am commenting on the State St. shop. Several nights ago, my friends and I entered and paid for a yogurt for my son. While I was paying, my wife asked if she could use the restroom. Though the worker was nice, she apologized and stated that the restroom was closed because they close it 45 minutes before the store closes. Now, I know that restrooms were often closed during COVID times, but that night the restroom was open. Yet, they closed it early. At that time, I wondered if it was because it was more convenient and cost-effective to clean it and close it well before closing time. My point to this store's owner or manager is that you should keep the restroom open for customers until closing, and then pay your workers for the thirty minutes they spend cleaning after that. I got the impression that the owner might have put this policy in place to save money. I could be wrong, but I know this: happy customers make you more money, especially if you invest in customer service. read more

A cute, friendly little Yogurtland stop on State St. I've since learned that there's a highly-acclaimed local yogurt shop right across the street, but if you know what you like and you're sticking with Yogurtland, this location won't steer you wrong. Be sure to ask for sample cups - they've always got a couple new ones on rotation. I'm a huge fan of anything fruity and tart. Any topping you need, they probably have, from granola and chopped nuts to white chocolate fudge, gummi worms, and popping boba. I still have no idea how they make those things! Grab a seat outside for great people watching. You're a little far from the beach, but you can always ask for a lid and pack it to-go. We might try the other place next time in the area, but there's nothing wrong with Yogurtland! :-) read more

It's Fiesta weekend, and for the most part this Yogurtland is clean. There's confetti everywhere, and the store can't help people tracking them in from the street. I had the seasonal guava flavor, with chocolate, a bit of cheesecake, and strawberry. I also added actual strawberries, cheesecake bites, and carob chips. It was really good, and the guava wasn't as tart as I thought it would be. Which was fine, I actually thought it was refreshing! There's more seating inside than outside, but I'm more of the type to get it to go and walk down State Street. They also serve water, and today it was infused with strawberries. Did the $1 off thing on yelp, was not disappointed (even when ordering after closing hours). Surprised it was still open at 11:05 pm on the weekend. We just came from bar hopping and one of my friends wanted to have some Yogurtland. Needless to say it was dope to get the bitter aftertaste of alcohol after a few bars, but it certainly made me feel like a kid again. The place was cleaned religiously with no indication of being tainted by drunken college kids. As for the froyo itself it isn't too different than what I've had from the one in OC, but at least these guys make it fast and are nice in doing so, even when some within our group were tipsy. read more

One of the best things about this Yogurtland is that it's open late. Located on State Street, it's one of the few places open past 9pm. But if you've been to a Yogurtland, they have a formulaic setup -- made to look like any other. No boutique feeling here will be found. They have a nice selection of flavors, and while I didn't count, I'd say 20. I don't like Yogurtland that much because I find the yogurt to be more icy than creamy or smoothe. We used to be Pinkberry-ers but since i've moved to LA (with no job) and Jenna is in school (which she's paying for) we don't have the extra cash to spend on our old friend P-berry. Vacationing, First time at this location. I came in about 8 pm on Saturday. The store was under staffed. There was only one cashier and all the seating areas had dirty table tops. The line itself wasn't too long but as I was waiting in the topping area, I started to notice my yogurt getting a little meaty by the time I got up to get the toppings I wanted. In addition to the slowness, I noticed fruit flies were having a field day just flying about above the toppings. After I found an empty dirty table, a homeless person entered and started harassing everyone for 20 cents. Stopped in to get some yogurt. Asked for tasting cups and they didn't have them. Ok. So I was getting the kids one and thought I might want one so I put some of the kind I want in my daughter's cup. Asked for a spoon so I can taste if I wanted to get it. They won't give a spoon out until you pay. There is no logic that you can touch the handles but not for a taste to see if you like the flavor. 3.5 stars! I like the general set up of being able to try the different flavors prior to self-filling your container and then loading on the toppings as your mood suites you. I was in a fruity mood this time and am happy to report that the mango was pretty darn good. I also go the mixed berry, which was ok, and the cheesecake flavor, which I would have tasted first. It didn't quite taste like cheesecake to me, but just super sweet. They have a lot of fresh fruit and several other toppings to fit almost anyone's tastes. My favorite topping is the mochi. If you aren't familiar with the drill, after you get your yogurt and load it up to your heart's content, you go to the register where they weigh it and you pay based on what you got. I didn't see how much they charge per ounce, but it seemed reasonable. If I'm hankering for some fro yo, there is a good chance I'll be back. read more

Wow, this place is crazybusy for a Sunday evening! That certainly says something. Even though I generally find Yogurtland a bit too "chain-y" for me-- the chalkiness and formula-taste is unsatisfying-- this one was fair. Lots of flavors, & the usual toppings standard for all Yogurtlands. My favorites are the cookies and cream (more cream than cookies, though). The chocolate coconut seasonal flavor is "all right". Standard price. Clean bathrooms and ample seating. Neon lighting. Late hours are a bonus. My tips: the fruit quality and mochi chewiness are hit-or-misses. Reliable favorite toppings include chopped nuts (almonds more than peanuts). Overall tip: If you want the most "bang for your buck", then you'll need a higher yogurt-to-topping ratio (yogurt weighs less than toppings) and to stick with lighter toppings like sprinkles, sliced almonds, coconut, and "flakier" cereals like Fruity Pebbles.
